I don't have the book with me but I think the order of nature right now is that man just uses animals for their resouces. They use their eggs, milk, and meat. He is trying to say that they shouldn't have to serve humans and they should be free. I view the order of nature is that we shouldt abuse our resources. I try not to eat a lot of meat but it's kinda hard to stay away from it because it seems to be everywhere. I think that people that eat it excessively and don't think killing and abusig animals is wrong are terrible. I do drink milk and eat cheese but that isn't as bad in my opinion. When I first heard about what book we were reading I thought it was the one about the food indutry and how they abuse the animals and I got sad. I was realieved when I found out it wasn't.

The order of nature that Major explains is that animals help humans by giving them resources and we help animals by feeding them, etc. He compared it to a cycle of nature. I think everyday when non-vegetarians eat meat we never really think about what we're doing. When i eat meat I never, ever think about how it got onto my plate because that would make me sick and bring me to tears. I think it's a horrible thing and a horrible industry but it has become a big part of society today. I don't think they're are very many people out there who enjoy the thought of this cycle. Even though it may not be pleasant it's for the best. if it weren't for the cycle their would over population, food shortages, etc.

Well since I don't have the book I don't know what's exactly on page 5, but i think that Major is talking about the cruelty towards the animals. He's talking about how man has always been superior towards the animals because that's just the way things have always been. But why does it have to be that way? Why are they superior before the animals? In my life I think of this more on the terms of authority figures having rule over me. Like why are my parents superior to me? Or why are my teachers superior to me?

seeing that i also don't have the book im not Sher. but i think he was talking about how man depends on them for the things they need. like milk, eggs, and work. and the animals depend on man. for things like food, shelter and other things. but he thinks that animals should only help other animals and live independent from humans. for me i am a kid and im being looked after by my parents. because of this i don't have much say in society.

On page 5 i think old major is saying how humans are just using them. The man takes everything the animals produce and Major is saying they shouldnt have to continue serving man. I view nature in my life as limited. I dont eat red meat unless im craving it which is rarely and i was a veggetarian for a couple months. The main reason i dont really eat red meat is because its usually pink and when u pull it out of a package theres usually blood. The blood from the package makes me think of how the animals were killed and i love animals and it makes me so sad to think of that. I really think people should be more aware of the meat they are eating. On top of that i think they should be more aware of how it got made into meat.

I think that Major was talking about how the humans just use the animals for food and getting work done without returning the favor or good treatment towards the animals. He believes that the animals help them out by providing food while in return they need shelter and food of their own. I believe that the order of nature in my life is simple. Humans use animals for food like eggs, meat, and milk while animals are given some food to stay alive. It isn't as bad as some people think though because these animals are bred for the sole purpose of providing food so they wouldnt have a life if it wasn't for them being bred. Many people would go hungry if we didnt breed animals for food and it is very important to how the world functions. I believe that they should be treated better but it isnt like they have a life anyway.

I also do not have the book so i will try to do my best. major is in my opinion like the loved president of the barn. major has basically complete control of a situation and is the voice of the house. when he talks about the order of nature he mentions that the people take there resources. the thing that i find interesting is that he doesn't mention the food chain. in my opinion humans come first and animals later, humans need the resources to survive that is the way it works. every now and then animals do revolt like when the animals chased the people out of the barnyard. but the major i think is out of line he likes to provoke things. he would be the zsar in Russia in my opinion because he thinks violence is the only way to solve item.

I dont have to book with me and i really dont remember that part. But I think the order in life now is that humans, man, uses animals for the products that they produce. We take eggs from chickens. We take milk from cows. We even kill the pigs for pork, chickens for chicken, and cows for beef. Major was trying to tell the others that it was not their purpose on Earth to serve the humans. In everyday life my view is that we should not over access the resoures that are offered to us. When we have to kill animals for food it is survial of the fittest. when people thing that when you kill animals that there is nothing wrong with that that is were humanity comes in. When i go to a store and see beef and chicken i call it murder however I still eat it. I know its wrong but there would be a huge over population if they werent being used to feed people.

The order of nature makes me think of the food chain in nature. How animals eat other animals. But in the book i think it refers to something else. In my life, i feel like the order of nature is that humans eat most animals. Animals eat other animals. Energy just gets passed around from organism to organism. Life is an endless chase for prey. In this book, the humans will go after the animals. and the animals will go after the humans. all in all, its gonna be an interesting book.

I don't know what discussion is on page 5. If i were to guess i think Major means that animals shouldn't be controlled. He is saying that all animals are equal and they shouldn't betray them. Also he says that animals work way harder than humans. Because of this animals should be free. I don't really view the order of nature any specific way om my life. I would have to say that i think all humans are equal. Mostly the nicer people should get more respect. This influences me day to day because i respect and listen to nice people.

I think that Old Major is saying that the humans just use the animals for stuff they need. Then the animals never get anything in return because they are neglected. When I use the animals for food and drinks it's because I need them, almost like survival of the fittest. It kinda sucks for them because they really can't do anything about it. Day to day I use the animal's food and stuff for my needs and it's just kind of how life goes. No one really thinks it's sad that animals die so I'd rather have it be them dying than me. Overall, the order of nature plays a key role in the animals' rebellion

Well since no one is supposed to have their book yet, I think Major was talking about how humans depend on nature. We depend on them because we don't produce any food unless there are canibles. Cows produce milk which I drink but it isn't like they are going to use it they are alone. Some animals are born only to produce food. I personally don't feel bad when I eat meat because is was their job in life to produce food. I don't like eggs because they taste bad, and because they are baby chickens. Another reason I don't feel bad when I eat meat, drink milk or have any other produce is that I don't waste it. wasting food is wrong expecially produce.

Old Major was telling the animals of his order of nature, which is basically a list of steps to follow in order to keep the animals seperated from the humans. The lists includes: no animal is ever to live in a house, no animal is ever to sleep in a bed, no animal is ever to wear clothes, etc. I like Old Major's philosophy because following this format will keep them who they are. They won't become lazy by sleeping in beds, or care how they look by getting dolled up in clothes, but rather stay a group of tough animals. As the animals notice things they don't like in their farmer and learn not to repeat these things, I do the same. I also notcie things I don't like in other people and chose not to live like that or stoop down to their level. I think all humans do this everyday, and this is how we learn to become who we are, by watchin others as examples. However, we don't all practice what we preach morally wrong but sadly it's just how humans operate.

I think Major was saying that the animals are at the bottom of the food chain. The humans take their milk and egss, and that they have no say in what goes on.. which leads to him saying they should rebel. The order of nature in my life would probably be my parents, and then me, adn then my siblings. This influences my life because i have to listen to my parents because theyre higher on teh "order". My siblings, however, are all younger than me, so im higher than they are. I occasionaly get put in charge of tehm and they have to listen to me.

I think that major is saying that the animals are on bottom and they should be on top. They do all the work like supply food and do hard labor around the farm. These are all jobs that depend on the animals yet they are not on top. In the order of nature in my life I am not that far up. My teachers and parents are the main ones that are a head of me that tell me what to do on a daily bases. Major thinks that because they do all of this work that they owe nothing to the humans and they should be below him. This is what major was trying to say and how i feel about it.

I think Old Mayor is talking about how animals are only used for what they can do and what they can produce. Such as people only have farms so they can sell the animals. People can use the meat, milk, eggs and sell that so they can make money off of it. I think we take advantage of the nature in our life. We think its always going to be there and no one cares how the animals feel. It'd be different if the animals were killing us and eating us. But that's not how it is. Most people eat an animal or some kind of production from an animal everyday. It's hard not too because it's everywhere we go. It's in our favorite foods and its hard to stop eating what we like to eat.

I had never thought about the order of nature from an animals perspective. I understand where an animal can see that we as people don't do much for the animals. Animals give us eggs, milk, meat, and fur. And as humans we only feed them. It shows that animals are like slaves to us. We don't produce anything that they take from us. They provide for us and give us everything that we need. Animals have poor treatment and are sometimes malnourished and we take everything they produce for ourselves.

The order of nature is something that all living creatures must follow. The order of nature is that man gets everything that animals make. The most important thing that humans take from animals would be their meat. I love meat personally. I love a good old steak and hamburger every few days. I don't think that this is morally correct but hey, its good. The order of nature affects me because we are involved with this order. It influences me day to day because we eat something produced by animals every day.

The book defines nature as how the humans use them for there milk eggs and such. I veiw nature like a book. I kind of take things out and imagine things without them. Nature without humans would be so much better. We wreck the balance of nature and how it works. Without us there would be so much greenery and the population of animals would be flourishing. The humans have messed up many ecosystems and will continue too untill we are gone.

Rob Walkerdine said...

What Major is trying to say is that Nature would have an abundance of food for the animals unlike now where as the animals get just enough to get by. Major wants the animals to be free and live out to the full effect of what nature intended. That was until man showed up and imprisoned them so that they couldn't live as nature intended them to instead they were worked till they died. I think that I make an impact on nature in a negative way because I leave such a big footprint on the earth. I think that the order of nature is being obstructed because of some of the things I do from cutting down a small tree or throwing away a bottle. This influences me day to day because with all the Green products out there now I feel more and more pressure to go green myself. I try to recycle whenever I can. The paper goes in the recycling bin not the trash. That is how it influences me.
