Good luck on your Novel Study Projects!
As I said today, we will be FINALLY starting "Animal Farm" on Monday. For todays blog, I would like you to google a Rally Song/Hymn. After reading this song/hymn I want you to tell me what this song is about, and how you think it might have portrayed the feelings of society during that time and place. Print a copy of your song so that we can take a look at it in class. Have a great weekend!

I couldnt find any rally songs or hymns? I looked and all that came up were college fight songs.. soooo i dont know what to do.
The rally song i found is called Washington's March. It doesn't show the whole song though. It is actually call "the favorite new Federal Song." It was associated to Washington during the time of simple elections. It was played for him when he was in Trenton, New Jersey where one of his victories took place. It is now called , "Hail, Columbia" and served as a sort of national anthem. That is all i could find about rally songs/hymns and the website didn't provide the song lyrics.

A rally I found was "We Shall Overcome." This song was used during the Civil Rights movement to keep hope alive for the southern black people. This song tells about how no matter how bad things get, they can overcome anything. People would sing this song in church and at non violent protests as a way to keep hope alive. This was used in the 1950's when racism was at an all time high so society was against things like this. This song was a good thing for the african american community and really helped them get through a very tough time in American history.
when i typed in Rally Song/Hymns it came up with a bunch of random stuff but nothing about society. but i assume it has to do with civil rights.
The rally song i found was Coca-Cola, Hear What We're Saying. I picked it because it we odd and funny. This song is about coca cola and recyclying plastic. Recyling has been a thing in the us for a long time now. So i believe the feelings on the society would be reduce reuse recycle. Also again t is kinda funny when you read it but i don't think im gunna bring it in. If you want is go to http://www.grrn.org/coke/songchant.html to read it there are also more for those of you who can't find any.
Okay... I got what everybody esle got. I got fight songs. I also got one for Coke! Well if this is what I was supposed to find then okay. Well it is about cheering on a team. Hoping that they will win! Other songs/hymns were about historial events and people. They tell about what they did and what was really important about them. Thats all I could find. =]
The hymn i found was called "I love to tell the story." This song is about a girl telling the story of Jesus. She loves to tell this story, and it never gets old. It is the only thing she wants to do. She wants to let everyone know about Jesus. I think that a lot of the society did believe in Jesus. I dont really know that much about the soceity around that time. But i think that a lot of the people agreed, they loved to tell the story of Jesus.
the song i found is concrete cowboy- rally song for fair taxes. i thnk these songs are mostly about somethig like the one i found is about the states government and how they tax everything. so i think rally songs are songs tto motivate people or rise agaisnt something, or someone. and the website was

i found one about coke and recycling. recycling and being eco friendly must have been a big deal, like it still is now because there trying to get people to recycle, and drink coke. i thought it was pretty cool to make a rally song to stop pollution, and advertise there product. here it is if ya wanna see it.

I know that this is late but it would let me post anything on Friday or Saturday.
I looked up Rally Song/Hymn and I didn't find anything specific. It look at the title and found more of a broader variety of results. So I'm not quite sure what to do.
