Day 6
Today you can choose between free blog and current event. If you choose free blog, do not just list things you did last weekend but make it about something that tells who you are as a person or something we do not know about you. If you choose current event, then make sure you cite your source and nothing about Tiger Woods as I am bored of this story.

I am on the varsity girls bowling team for Lakeland. Last sunday we had a meet at 300 Bowl against South Lyon. When you bowl at a meet it consists of two baker games and two singles games. A baker game is when you have five people on a team and each person on the team bowls two frames of one game. For example, if i were bowler one, i would bowl frame one and frame six. Same with if i was bowler two then i would bowl frame two and frame seven, and so on. The singles games are just like if you were bowling by yourself. You have two whole games to bowl by yourself. Your goal of this is to beat the other teams player who has the same spot as you. Like if i were player two on our team, i would want to beat player two on the opponets team. When we versed South Lyon on Sunday, we won our game. We won one out of two bakers and our overall player point score was higher then the other teams. We can really feel the competition rising in our team though, this is because we have six players and there is only five spots when at a meet. Whoever is bowling bad that week sits out during the game. This will make everyone rise up their game and hopefully make us a better team.
As the winter time comes, I'm gearing up for two things; basketball and snowboarding. I'm currently on the JV Girl's Basketball team at Lakeland. It's really early in our season but we are 2-1, which means 2 wins, 1 lose. The only team in which we lost to was Southfield but I'm not that concerned because last year I was on the freshman team and we won 46-40 in over time and I scored 22 points that game. Other than that one upset, our team has a lot of potential and we're using it to our advantage. Along with basketball, I love going snowboarding. I've been snowboarding for about 6 years now and I love every bit of it. When I i was little, my brother and I used to go up at Shanty Creek, Schuss and Boyne but we don't anymore. A lot of my friends go snowboarding and I always meet new people up at Alpine where I usually go.
Travling is one of my most favorite things to do. I love traveling and i have been almost everywhere in the United states. I think I get it from my mom. She has been to many countries and she still travels now. It is fun and there are many interesting things along the way. You see so much more and discover more things. I am currently in Arizona right now. It is a cool state but not where I am at. It is kind of boring. I love traveling but I don't think I will ever come back here unless I really have to. It is one of my most favorite hobbies to do.
Movies happen to come up a lot in my life. It has been one of my favorite things to do latley. I notmally don't see a lot of movies because I don't have enough time. A few years ago week got comcast cable and have been able to record things with it. Now if a movie I haven't seen comes on I'll either watch it or record it. Also I can see movies I have already seen and that I have liked. There are many different kinds of moives. I notmally watch comedy ones but occasionaly I will watch something different. I think I watch comdey movies the most because they put me in a good mood for the rest of the day unless it has sad parts. One movie I watched lately like that mas Marley and Me and it reminded me of my life and I thought it was really sad.

I love gymnastics. I will always be involved with the sport no matter what point of my life I am in. I just have an undying passion for the art of it. In gymnastics, you get to express yourself in the most dangerous of ways. You get to live on the edge, while staying out of trouble. My earliest memories in life deal with gymnastics. I've been involved in it for over 10 years. I am on the Lakaland cheerleading team, and gymnastics has brought me great advantages to this other sport. I feel like every young girl should start off their lives with gymnastics because it can guide you to any other sport, such as dance, poms, cheerleading, rhythmic gymnastics, and more. It even gives you more body strength then the average person, and that will help with basketball, soccer, or just any other sport you may desire to join later on in life. Bottem line, gymnastics is a big part of my life and it won't ever change.
while it is in it more cold seasons i like to stay inside to watch movies. i like to watch all kinds of movies. my favorite types would have to be comedy. i also like machinimas. a machinima is a movie made while in a game. one of my favorite machinima is red vs blue. this all takes place in halo i think it funny because there so stupid and they make me wonder if our milatary will be like that in the next couple hundred years or so. so in colclusioin that is somthing new that poeple dont really know about me.
Well this is one of the weird parts about me. As winter comes i love the snow, but i hate the cold. I really enjoy snowball fights, making snowmen, riding bikes on ice, bumper shaggin, doing doughnuts in the car, and jumping on the trampoline with alot of snow/ice on it. Sence ive moved out here i can't really ride my bike on ice because the roads get plowed also can't bumper shag. Also alot of people around here hate the cold and snow. I'll go outside for a snowball fight no questions asked, kinda feels like paintball or airsoft. I gave my trampolie to my aunt because we couldn't bring it here, i was pissed because i had just gotten it about a year ago. We also couldn't bring out pool, but we do have a public pool near by so its kinda the same but nothing compares to having your own.
Energy, many people talk about it these days on how to make clean energy and how to help lower o-zone emissions. well a team of Stanford scientist have made a battery out of paper!. yes just regular off-the-shelf paper that you can buy in any store, once they bought it they painted it with an "ink" made of carbon nanotubes that help make it more conductive. then once the painted it they dipped in lithium-containing solutions and an electrolyte, to help give it the chemical reaction used in a battery. this battery also weighs and uses twenty percent less materials then a average battery. This battery can also release energy very quickly in short bursts, which then could help if they develop a car battery using this idea. this could effect my community by have a battery cheaper and more efficient energy source to help deplete emissions. and this could effect my generation by saving us the hassle of cleaning up a mess we didn't make. this is how i feel about how we should develop a cleaner more efficient energy source.
To be deceived or to be mislead, to me, is the greatest insult. Of course I will present you with an example, lets just use a random person of our choosing, like maybe a teacher? Lets just say (for example) this teacher does not tell us about, I don't know, a blogging date? Yes I think thats a good one. A teacher does not tell you the date of a make up blogging when there is a four day week. Now while you believe that there is in fact no blogging on the day that you have off, since the rule is, "no school; no blogging," you don't blog. But of course this wouldn't be a good example unless we said that the teacher neglected to inform us that we actually did have to blog on the day that we don't normally blog (lets say a friday) to make up for that day that we "didn't have to blog for." So being deprived of this information, you later find out that there was actually a blog due for that day (friday). Now you have to suffer an undeserved consequence, like staying after school for a whole fifteen minutes. And for those poor kids who have to miss the bus and be forced to walk home in the freezing cold, negative degree temperatures, I feel sincere sympathy. Do you think this is fair? Well I for one, don't. I think it is unjust and is extremely degrading when someone (like a teacher) over uses their authority to control the already dominated children. I become extremely insulted and will not overlook the wrong doings of a dictator!
one thing that people may not no about me is that i love to dirt bike.i first started dirt bikeing when i was 12. It all started with this little miny bike that my gram parents gave us. The mini bike was a little red minibike with no shocks, and me and my brother would ride it around the yard and it was relay fun, i was around 7 or 8 at the time. i rember how bumby it was and i would always burn my leg on the egsost anyway, when i was 12 we were serchin to find some used dirtbikes for my dad, my brother and i. we were camping up north when we saw a motersports place. we went in and they had a good deal on some bikes so we bought one for all us. ever sens then we have been dirtbikeing freequently, and we got a trailer up north, thats were we dirtbike.
The thing I am going to talk about today is my family. I am very close with my family. I love them a lot for many different reasons. My mom is like one of my best friends and I always help her with her problems and she helps me with mine. My dad is always there for me no matter what and always has my back. I can always count on them to be there. I have two sisters Erica and Jess. Erica is 11 and she is the dramatic one in the family, she acts like she is 17. For the most part though she is always there for me and i can tell her pretty much anything, and she tells me things too. Now this doesn't mean we never fight or anything because man, let me tell you! But it does mean whenever i do need help she is there, and we always like to joke with eachother. I know that she looks up to me and I am trying to show her things through that. My other sister Jess is 8 years old. She is just well lets just say she always wants to be around people. She is a very intelligent one. She knows everything thats going on, all the time. She can get very irritating at times but i still love her. We have a very humorous family. We are always cracking little jokes about every possible thing! I can always count on that to make my day better. My mom is histarical and my dad, hes is also very, very funny, but in a somewhat different way so that it always evens out for a very fun atmosphere.
"A series of coordinated attacks struck Baghdad Tuesday, including two suicide car bombers and another vehicle that blew up near government sites. At least 127 were killed and hundreds wounded in the worst wave of violence in the capital in more than a month, authorities said." This is one of the worst things that I've heard of since 9/11. A total of five attacks, which also included a suicide car bomb on a police patrol, showed the ability of insurgents to strike high-profile targets in the heart of Baghdad. Iraq's military spokesman blamed the carnage on an alliance of Al Qaeda in Iraq and members of Saddam Hussein's banned Baath Party. Iraqi officials blamed the August and October attacks on Al Qaeda in Iraq and loyalists of the Baath Party, even bringing out three suspects on national television who gave what officials termed confessions. White House press secretary Robert Gibbs condemned the attacks, saying Iraqi leaders who recently passed an elections law were moving the country in the right direction and that "there are clearly those who are threatened by that." The core of the attacks hit central Baghdad with three blasts in the span of a few minutes. US. soldiers helped provide security and assisted the Iraqis with the collection of evidence from the rubble. This affects my life because this kind of thing happens everyday. No matter how much people try to stop these events from happening, they always happen. The people that were killed could have been a father/mother/sibling. The soldiers that died shall never be forgotten.

If you didn't already hear, The Detroit Tigers traded their superstars away today in the winter meetings. They traded All-Star Center fielder Curtis Granderson to the yankees for Austin Jackson (Who?) and Phil Coke. I think this is one of the stupidest ideas ever because they are trading away a great role model for the city and a great ball player for minor league players. Also, they traded their All-Star Pitcher Edwin Jackson to the Diamondbacks for two pitchers i have never heard of in my life, Max Scherzer and Daniel Schlereth. Another good move by the Tigers... NOT. This should be the end of the GM of the tigers Dave DUMBrowski. He has made bad contract after bad contract and bad trade after bad trade. i say fire this lunatic and send him back to wherever she came from. Get ready for another losing season detroit! P.S. dont go help a losing team, dont go to any games. I'm for sure not.

Recently i have found that there is basically no point in dating. Cause either way in the end someone is going to end up hurt. I guess when it comes to relationships you shouldnt fully like the person 100% cause if they ever decide to end things youre going to be hurting a lot worse then if you just liked them moderatly. Another thing is i dont get why kids let their parents control relationships. I think if you really like someone your parents shouldnt be able to come in and say you cant date them. Even if your parents did say that why does the kid actually have to listen to them? In the end you should be mature enough to talk about the situation instead of changing direction while seeing the person in the hallways. All and all dating is pointless, someone always ends up hurt, and most guys are really immature... even if they were hurt too.
Im guna take the free blog cause I hate lookin for a current event article to blog about. I dont really know what I could talk about that people dont know about me so I'll just talk about school related things. Like for one thing, I suck at language arts completely, I dont remember the last time I got an A for my final grade in a Lit class. But I am very good in a subject alsmost everyone hates. Math. I am good at math, and I have no idea why. I usualy learn new math concepts really fast. What ahppens a lot in my math classes is that I get really bored and start to goof off. Which in the end isn't good but I cant help it. Science classes always differ for me. In those classes I usualy have between an A through a C. In biology last year I got A's and B's throughout the years, except for some of the tests and quizes. I rarely do good on tests and quizes, but thats probably because I never study. Social studies clases are very boring to me. I see no point in those classes unless you want to be in a career that relates to those topics. But like what was said today in class. It is better to have learned some things related to that subject then nothing at all in that subject. Thats pretty much all I can say about my school work. I just hope that I can do better in Language Arts this year. Mabye even get an A. Now that would probably be a miracle but I'm trying for it.
When I get a free blog I am obviously going to blog about the love of my life, hockey. A lot of people know that i play hockey but they don't really know the time and the energy that I put into it. I am on the Lakeland Varsity team and coach the JV team sowhen I'm not at varsity I am at JV. I also do several camps a year and am always playing with other travel teams looking for a better place to go because I always like moving on. Very rarely do I get a day off and when I do I am playing 3 on 3 in the driveway with some friends or I'm at a sticks and pucks with friends. Hockey has changed my life because it helps me meet new people and lets me do what I love. I believe that I have become a better person because of hockey. Hockey is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me and I don' know what I would do if it were takin away from me. I put almost all of my time into hockey because it is what I love most.
