Here we are at the end of the second cardmarking. Hard to believe that it is happening this fast. I am, overall, pleased with most of the way the class has gone although I would really love to see people put in more of an effort and show what you are truly capable of.
For today, I would like you to discuss your strengths and weaknesses thus far in this class. Also, what are your goals for the next cardmarking both in my class and as a student in general. Give a letter grade goal with ways you plan to make this happen. Lastly, give any constructive feedback as to how the class could be better or my teaching style could help you more. This does not include the comment no more blogging as that will not be happening.

One question before i start. Wasn't the end of the card marking last friday?
This year has gone pretty smoothly so far. I have plenty of strengths and weaknesses in school. One of my strengths so far in this class has been communicating with my classmates about the work. Also, staying wake, since it is first hour. One of my weaknesses has been and will always be grammar. My goals for school have not changed since school began back in september. I will always try and get a 4.0 in school but every semester i always end up slipping up and getting a 3.95 (one A-). I would love to get an A in this class and i will do this by working hard on the Into the wild paper and getting an A on that. One piece of feedback would be to keep making jokes. Some people may get embarrassed, but it keeps us on our toes for the next joke and keeps us listening to what you say.
I have many strengths and weaknesses that effect my school. One of my strenths in this class is i find it easier to study for this class when there is a test or vocab quiz coming up. I can understand these concepts better in this class then in any other class. My other strength in this class is being able to communicate to my peers about topics we learn. If i have a problem understanding something i have no problem asking my friends to help me out, i was lucky that i got to have some good friends in this class. One of my strenths however is grammer. I have never been really good at picking up on the grammer. After learning the basic puncuation marks i really didn't remember anything they taught me about adverbs or prepositions or any other type of word like those. I normally get an A- in this class so my goal for this marking period is to get an A. I plan to make this happen by studying twice as hard for the grammer section of the vocab quizes. I don't really know how class could get more effective for us. You keep us listening to you with your jokes and stories. Some people might get offended though by some of the things you say, but there probly used to it now so i say keep on doing what your doing.
I have a few stenghts and a few weaknesses in this class. Some of my strenghts are being up for anything that is going on. My weakness is probably writing. I don't think I am very good at it. Next cardmarking I would like to improve my writing skills in your class and I just want to become a better student in general. THis cardmarking and next semester I would like to get an A or a B and I am really going to try to achieve this. Personally I think your class is great. I enjoy the way you joke around with the class and the way you make it fun. I understand the way you teach and I don't think you should change it.
well strengths for me in your class would be getting good grades on the vocab part of your quizes. weaknesses would be writeing papers and trying to pay attition in your class since it is kinda early in the morning. some goals i have in your class is trying to be confindint when i answer questions. my goal for school is this term is to get a least a B in all my classes. another goal i have in school is to make a couple of friends in each class so that way if i need help i can message them or call them. some feed backs for your class would be helping us a bit more with the paper we are workingon. that is what my strenghs and weaknesses are in your calss.
so far this year has not been good for me throughout both card-markings. my weaknesses in any class is writing and putting forth the effort. but my strength is when i do put effort into my work then it shows my true potential. my goals for next card marking are to put effort into all of my work, no excuses. my goal for this class is at least a B+ in all of my classes, i plan to do this by turning in all of my work, doing all of my blogs, and trying harder overall. my feedback on this class is nothing but kind words you keep me entertained and give me opportunity's to do better. i also understand why you teach certain things and make us do certain things.

This year has been a good grade related year so far. One of my weaknesses of the class is that im very forgetful. This doesn't help that it's first hour either. Most of the time I forget to stufy for my vocab quizes and that mainly where my grade falls in this class. My strenght are that i have many friends in the class so if I need help they can help and teach me what to do out of class. Im doing good in most of my other classes but I would like to get an A- or even better an A in this class. Getting that is going to be a big challenge because overal I don't like Lit. and I never have. I personaly like the way you teach and I wish that some of my other teachers made good jokes and picked on us. It keeps us listening so that we don't get embarrassed.
In this class, I have many strengths and many weaknesses. One of my strengths is that I do very well on vocabulary/grammar and I always blog. When I speak, I like to use cool, elaborate words so I like to learn new vocab. Also I do think I put in a good, positive effort in class because usually I am a positive person. Along with my strengths, I do have some weaknesses. Writing papers is difficult for me because I just blank out and I can never manage to say anything good. I am going to try my very hardest on my "Into the Wild" paper, and I hope for the best. My future goals is to keep blogging and doing good on spelling/grammar, but also to improve on my paper writing skills. I think once I get in the hang of writing papers, it will be easier for me as I go. Like the last 2 cardmarkings, I hope to stick with an A in the class. I will do this by studying, paying attention in class, and putting forth a good effort. Overall, I don't have much to critisize about the class. Your witty humor keeps me awake in the morning and keeps me paying attention. I think your teaching style is good, but I am an easy learner so it may not be for others.
A few of my strengths in this class would be that I am finally starting to enjoy the class and your teaching style. Your not like other teachers, you are a very humorous teacher and at the same time you try to push up to be above average, and i respect that, at first i didn't really, but now I can see why. You want us to do the best and be the best we can be, and i appreciate it. Another strength is that I am learning a lot and not just about stupid things that I probably won't use in my life. A weakness that I have in your class is that I probably don't really talk as much as I should, but i do notice it, and i have been putting myself out there a little more lately, and hey, its first hour so im still a little sleepy. And another weakness is probably being lazy, but im working on that one too! The past card marking and the one that just recently ended i have been getting very good grades. My goal is to keep getting those good grades and making my parents, relatives, and other close people proud of me. I like it when i get good grades because gives me a lot of advantages, i feel good about what i have accomplished, and it always looks good for college, and its hard to believe but college isn't very far away. I hope to get between an A and an A- in this class. I plan on doing this by turning in all of my work, and putting a lot into it. And some feedback would be to keep making you little jokes and stuff, it definately keeps us litsening, and they are very funny too!
This year has had its ups and downs just like every year. Starting off with my strengths, I guess my strengths in school would be in math and my elective classes. Math would be one of my strengths because I usually learn new math concepts really fast. One day of practice and I'll be pretty good at it. Of caurse me elective classes because I chose them because I liked them and could do good in them. Now for my weaknesses. I'd say I have a lot of weaknesses, because there is quite a few things I need to work on. For instance Im definentaly not good in Language Arts, I've never ben good at it. Some things in language arts I learn quickly but most of them I will probably never learn or it will take a long time for me to learn. Another weakness I have would be staying focused, which has always been an issue for me in school. As for my goals for next card marking, of cause I would like to have them higher. I would like to see all of my grades in the C+ through A range. This goal will be easy in a couple of my classes but hard in the tohers. I am trying to get everything done and turned in but thats always been hard for me to do. I guess that wraps up my goals for next card marking. As for things that would help me in this class.. Of cause I would like for blogs to be gone, who wouldnt. But aside form that, I dont think much could help me. I just need to get organized and keep my thoughts straight. Oh and studying more would definentaly help.
i feel like it was a good card marking, i enjoyed 70% of the classes, which is really good for school. one of my strengths in the class is partisipation. ill always rais my hand if i no something, or if no one else is raising theirs, i tell my thoughts. another strength of mine is being able to stay awake 1st hr, but i think you help with that. A weeknees, is forgeting to study for vocab. if done this alot, but i seem to do alright anyway. other weeknes are beng tardy, and forget to blog. Next card marking i would like to become better at writing intros and conclusions, cus im not good at it. Also maybe start spelling better. i wana try to get a a or b next cardmarking. To make the class better, maby have detentions on friday. my mom dosint like having to have grampa come pic me up evertime i miss a test or blog, she gets pist at me.

So far school has been flying by so quickly. The year has been going pretty well. As a student I have many strengths and weaknesses. A weakness that I have is laziness. I like to do things half- assed and I procrastinate. Another weakness I have is the inability to concentrate. It seems like no matter what, my mind is somewhere else, and it doesn't matter how hard I try, I just cannot keep myself focussed. One of my strengths are my opinions. I don't really know how to explain it. These blogs are always really easy for me to write because I have an opinion on everything. Another one of my weaknesses is the fear of asking for help. I guess I shouldn't call it a fear. I'm not afraid to ask. I'm just so stubborn, it seems like a weakness to have to ask for help. And I don't like showing my weaknesses. I don't know what I should consider this last one. If somebody tells me that I can't do something, I always want to prove that I can. Someone in the class told me that I couldn't get a good grade on a vocab test. I got the best grade so far on that test because that person doubted me. I guess it could be counted as both, a strenght and a weakness. For the next card marking I want to improve my grade. I need to learn better ways to study. Right now I am planning on getting a B or better. I have to do all of my work. I also have to put more effort into the work I do. The only thing I have to say for feedback is keep teaching the way you do. You're class is my favorite. You're jokes are the best!

One of my strengths is that I am a good listener most of the time. One of my weaknesses is that I only do the minimum of what is asked of me to do. Another weakness of mine is that I don't write papers all that well. My third weakness is asking for help. I know how to ask for help, but I just dont want to. My goals are That I will try to get all of my HW done, To not procrastinate while doing my HW, and not being social. I plan to try to accomplish getting all A's on my report card by turning all my work in on time and do an above average job doing homework. I like how the class flows, a little joke here a little picking on someone there. It's just an extremely fun class. Now I don't want to leave this class. I also Like Having Mr. Kay as a teacher.

As the year has progressed I believe that I have increasingly gotten better as far as grade wise. My best subject would be the grammar part. It's a lot easier than last year to remember the actual uses. That is one thing I also believe is being taught well in the class. One of my weaker areas would be how to properly use MLA format. I have trouble figuring out how to set it up on the page. But my overall writing skills are superb if you ask me. I have no problem making up stories or recalling events to put in papers. I think the one piece of constructive criticism that I could say, would be that, in my opinion, its an extremely poorly thought out idea to give a 50 question novel test on the day we get back from a thanksgiving (or any holiday for that matter) break, fully knowing no one has studied for it. And not to mention that is was by far one of the hardest tests I have ever taken, especially on a novel, that I for one actually read. But other than that little blooper, the class has gone fairly well. I will hope to continue and thrive in this class.
In school i find i have many different strangths and weaknesses. In lit i find one of my weaknesses is comprehending grammar. I try to understand it but it just doesnt click for me. A strength in this class is memorization i found that when i actually studied for vocab quizzes i got better grades on them and for the most part theyre some what easy to remember. For the next cardmarking i decided to step up my game not only trying to make my teachers and parents happy but it also makes me happy to get good grades. In each class i decided not to fall behind even if it means staying up super late to get my homework done. My goal in all of my classes is to work hard and put in more effort. For this class my goal is to comprehend the grammar better. I think you do a pretty good job at teaching the class you make it fun and interesting while learning. Therefore i dont think you rly need to change anything.

When it comes to strengths and weaknesses in this lit class I feel as if I have more strengths. This class interests me more then any others class. Literature is something that I would like to persue later in my life. I enjoy the way the topics are taught, it keeps me awake in class and it seems like I actually learn. First hour is my favorite, no doubt. Some things that I would change in this class is how we don't get to do free writing, and essays. I like to write about things I can relate to and really feel the topic. This way, it is easier to write about. I don't like how we read Into the Wild. It wasn't exciting at all to me and I definitely didn't feel like I could connect to Chris or the book. Next year, another book should be chosen for everyone to read. One that will catch the attention of people our age and will teach us a life lesson. Overall, this class is fun to be in and very beneficial.
This years start was rough but it has gotten better. All my weaknesses are in this class tho. Im horrible at reading writing grammar and its first hour so it makes things so much more complicated. Ive never done well in all my elglish classes. usually B-C range, but i know i can do better then C's and probibly B's if i actually studied and put forth some effort in english class. I don't think you should change anything even tho its first hour you make it fun and entertaining. This actually makes me more awake for 2nd hour and 3rd hour. I have 4 A's and 1 B+ english is just my down fall.
I believe that I dint fulfill my full potential this cardmarking. I belive that one of my strengths is I normally have a good understanding of what is going on in the class. I believe I can normally answer questions I am asked and dont have much problem keeping up with what is going on. I also believe that when I study I am very good at the grammer and vobab tests. I do think that there were some problems with the cardmarking. One of the things that I thought I didnt do that great was not turn a couple assignments. Even if I miss one or two assignments it can really hurt my grade. I think that I can fix that with a little better time managment, I do tend to put things off then I'm busy with hockey and can't get it done. I think I am capable of an A- or a high B. I do think that you are one of the best teachers I have had with the way you run the classroom, it is a lot of fun but you can get the point across. It makes it a lot easier when I'm not bored to death so the information stays in my head better so I don't see anything you need to change. This is what I think about the recent cardmarking.
My goals for this cardmarking is to improve on my test, do the bolgs. To impove my test scores i will study more. To do my blogs on time i will not lose the web sites url. My weakness in this class are writing essays and keeping track of my papers to due the assiament.My strenght to far is that i can read your writing. Some constred feedback is well get better hand writing skills. Everybody has strengh and weakness' in writing.
