Day 11

Much of Dickinson's poetry is about nature, beaty and then sometimes it is more grim and focused on war. Dickinson said, "If I read a bok and it makes my whole body so cold no fire can warm me I know that is poetry. She believed in and felt poetry to her very soul.

For this evening, using nature, success, loss, pain, death or hope as your theme write a poem that is at least 10 lines. Do not forget to title the poem.

Good luck

Irreplaceable

At the park running around and laughing,
Lying on the ground looking at the stars,
Walking along the beach holding hands,
Kissing in the rain,

Watching the sunset,
Falling asleep in your arms,
Picnics in the park,
Dancing under the moon light.

Food fights,
Looking in your eyes,
The feeling once our lips meet,
Running into your arms.

Playing sports in the backyard,
Walking down the street while the leaves are changing,
While the leaves change,
Our love stays the same and we become closer,
All those memories are simply
Irreplaceable.

"Forever, Never"
When we talk you say you feel so alive, then how come every time I see you I die inside.
You tell it how it is & you never lie, then how come every night I stay up and cry?
Your blue eyes are beautiful & they pierce my heart, but they can't fix how broken it gets when we part.
It hurts me every time you smile, and every time we hang out once in a while.
I know that we'll never be able to be together forever, but will I ever stop loving you, never.

I'll Be Fine
By: Marie Oleski

This time is for saying goodbye
I know I don't want to cry
When I look in your eyes
It feels like a giant prize

Hoping to get through this
I give you one last brief kiss
I turn and walk away
For the last time today

Leaving is a hard thing to do
Some how I'll make it through
So I'll say this one more time
Goodbye my love I'll be fine

Our Last Goodbye
These days have been so lonely
With you lying in your hospital bed.
All I do is sit here and think
Of the life that we once had.

We grew up together as children
Together we were as one.
Running and Playing in the field
The wind at our backs, our faces to the sun.

We go married, as everyone said we would
Oh, how our life and lave grew.
Nothing could ever come between us
And then our family started to grow.

Our Children are going to miss their mother
I can hear them talk at night.
They wonder how a women so young
Could face and lose life's fight.

I know that in a few days it will be all over
I will sit by your bed and cry.
Leaning over to kiss your lips
And giving each other, our last good-bye.

SWEETNESS OF BIRDS

Silent as spring rain,
Birds sing soft and plain.
Sweet chirps of rhythm and beat,
Flow softly out of their well fed beaks.

You can hear them from a distance at the window sill.
Rain drips down the winndow as if it were spilled.

Never shall I or will I speak,
Just listen to them soft and sweet.
As they chirp on this rainy day,
The sky goes gray and they fade away.

The Dream

Whisper in the yard and turn the trees all into toys, Lay there on the gound and turn the dirt into your joy.
From what I see and what I know its all been boaring lately,
So I suggest we turn a question into a maybe.
Time your riddels right and make a point that makes no sence,
Make sure that your smileing and the moneys been well spent.
Innocence and ignorance it all goes hand and hand, Im not sure that im right but I hope you'll understand.
I hope that your still searching for the start that has no end, and all the plastic people have now become your friends.
Before you start to drift And your soul begins to scream I just want to tell you that your listening to a dream.

Hope

I hope for freedom,
I hope for peace,
I hope for love,
I hope for happiness,
I hope for forgiveness,
I hope for honesty,
I hope for longevity,
I hope for loyalty,
I hope for trust,
hope, I hope for hope.

The Game

A half hour before playing,
Getting in game mode,
Your in the huddle and saying,
Are you are ready to unload?

Starting the game,
Hoping to gain,
The other team knows your name,
And your going to cause them pain.

Your team is hot,
they started a fuse,
And you know that you do not,
Even have a chance to lose

"Tomorrows Today"

tardy is today, but tomorrow is on time
forgetful today, but ill remember tomorrow
a lost item for now, but it will show tomorrow
distracted just today, focused all day tomorrow
currently unorganized, orderly for the future
if tomorrow is today, when will tomorrow come?
because todays mistakes are always repeating, tomorrows hope is slowly fading
if tomorrow never comes, will today ever change?

i guess we'll see tomorrow.

Now that you're gone, it's you I miss

I never thought I'd see the day
with tears, And sorrow, and much much pain.
The loss of you, it feels so strange.
I didn't think I could feel this way.
Though you have left me sad and low,
there is one thing that you must know.
This pain I feel from the loss of you,
is because I loved you strong and true.
And because you're gone an left me now,
I realized the happiness you brought me throughout.
Your life, your love and your simple greatness.
Now that you're gone, it's you miss.

"You Save Me"

You could have bowed out gracefully,
But you didn't.
You knew enough to know to leave well enough alone,
But you wouldn't.
I drive myself crazy trying to stay out of my own way,
The messes that I have made but my secrets are so safe
The only one who gets me is you
And it's amazing to me how every day,
Every day every day,
You save me.

Call It a Comeback

Moment in your hands
And its sad, take a bet
This season it's a turning point
Not just face to face
Look back at the mess you've made
When you never meant to go
Your a champ itching for a comeback
The saddest part is that is not enough
I know you never meant to go
I will leave the only way I know

cold that bites the cheek,
butey that touches the sole,
you can feel the mountains presents,
as if it its own entity
background sounds are washed out by the overpowering sight.
the mountain embodies my thoughts. what is truly meaningful in life.
to live happy with no regrets.
to stand tall like the mountian.

My Better is Better then your Better

The only reason I am good as I am is because of you
My quick will always be quicker than your quick
My strong will always be stronger than your strong
My power will always be stronger than your power
My reaction will always be quicker than your reaction
My speed will always be better faster than your speed
My agility will always be faster than your agility
My heart will always be bigger than your heart
I apologize
because my better will always be better than your better

war

walking through a alley, making sure not to make a sound, holding my m16 close by, close ur eyes, as one pops out, do not shout, hold your rifle and pow pow pow, shoot for your life, cuz u could lose the fight, as u watch the others die, u cant help but cry, as u rush to ur partners side, he says goodbye, as the doves fly up high, u sit low and as u say ur gonna be alright, ur fright turns bright, one pops to the right, pull the trigger, and remember not to be bitter, ammo is cheap, hit him deep, so take ur breath, and lay in peace.

The Ballad of my monarch miscommunication

I don’t need to get away, I need to stay here and fix what I have
broken

I need to re-knot the ties I have cut

To those I have easily forgotten and recently noticed, this is your anthem, your ballad, although not meant to be sung, but rather to pay reparations for the time we have missed out on

The more the hand wisely rotates, the more painful the memories become

I had all of you beautiful monarchs clenched in my fist

And before knowing, you colorful creatures were sucked into the
westerlies

I only blame myself for releasing my fist from that stable position

As I live my life without regret, it makes me uneasy to come to the realization that I have changed and moved away from those close to me

I hope whoever coined the
term, “You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone”, won an award because that statement couldn’t be any more true

You all know who you are, and you all remember what we had

Will you all welcome me back into your everyday routine of life?

Will you all remember what we had?

And will you all revive it and keep it close?

Help me to never let it out of sight again, for letting you go wasn’t worth feeling alone

I love you

successes
The great feel of successes,
Finding a new challenge,
Your heart beating faster,
Excitement at its completion,
The great feel of successes,
The thrill of a new task,
The adrenaline of winning,
The happiness of it all,
That’s the great feel of successes,
That which makes you feel good.
