I think in a way George would be better off without Lennie. But then i think he would be better with him. I think he would be better off without him becuase Lennie is always slowing him down. Always asking questions and aggravates him. But he would be better with him becuae its a god life exerence, and He wont be alone. He'd always have someone here for him. What I think would happen to Lennie is he wouldnt be able to handle the real world alone. He'd get lost, get into trouble. I just dont think he'd be able to handle it on his own.
I thin in some ways George would be better off without Lennie. Like he would be able to be more social. He wouldn't have to worry about Lennie doing something stupid. If Lennie left George he could a little confused. He could also feel guilty that he may have done something to drive him away. He also might feel guilty because he could have broken a promise to Lennie's aunt to take care of him. I really think they just should stick together because they balance each other out well.

From the reading i think that it goes either way. George would be better off without Lennie becuase George always seems frustrated with Lennies actions, and always seems agravated with Lennie, so george would become a much more calm, and less stressful person. Also, because it could relieve George of always having to take care of Lennie, and look out for him. But on the other side, being without Lennie, George wouldnt have a friend, or anyone to talk to. And yes, at times George gets mad and annoyed with Lennie, but i think that Lennie makes George whole, and without him George wouldnt be the caring, compassionate person he is. If george left Lennie, then Lennie would feel lost. Lennie is so used to someone always being there for him, and having a friend to look after him. Also i think he would get himself into more trouble or bad situations, like the one with the girls dress without George guiding him through all his situations, and helping him out.
Clare Pathe
I think that George would be better off without lennie to a certian exstent. If they weren't together than George could probally get a girlfriend and start a life of his own. But I also think that if they weren't together then Lennie wouldn't know what to do and get himself into alot of trouble. For instence When lennie started to pet the ladies dress in WEED he got into alot of touble. He didn't know what h had done wrong, he just wanted to feel the dress. George also tells him not to talk when they get to there new job becaue they may not hgher them becuase he is disabled. So I think that they are ment for eachother and they should sick with just for the sake of Lennie

I know that George is irritated by some of the things Lennie does. Yes, George would be less stressed out without having to take care of Lennie. Lennie is a big responsibility & thus far we have learned that Lennie does harmful things unintentionally. The last place George and Lennie were at they had to leave because Lennie inappropriately touched a girls dress. On the other hand, Lennie & George have a strong connection & their dreams of owning a farm keeps them going. Without Lennie George's life would be much easier not having to worry about what Lennie might do. If George left Lennie I think Lennie would end up in some major trouble and something terrible would happen to him.
Mr.Kay,
I dont think George would be better off without Lennie. My reason for this is they depend and keep each other company. Of course i think george would be better off maybe in the working area, but not in the long run. When i say working area i mean i think it would be easier for george to keep his job instead f haveing to keep moving. george made a promise to help lennie and not leave him. That is my only evidence for things not being different. If george were to leave him it would probally eat away at him for the rest of his life if he left Lennie. If george left lennie i dont think he would have an easy go. He would have trouble finding work becasue of his diasblity , and also he would still be getting into more trouble.

George would not be better off on his own for many reasons. First of all, if he was all alone he wouldn't have anyone to talk to. He would be all alone in his quest to get more money. He would also work himself to death. Lennie balances George out in the sense that Lennie is much more calm and lives a much simpler life than George. George tries to make everything his way and he works way too hard. He tries to micromanage things that he cannot control. If George left Lennie, I think he would have good and bad. He would probably venture off somewhere because he has no restrictions to anything he does. However the bad part of this is he wouldn't know what to do or where to go once he was done messing around. He needs some sort of guidance to help him stay on track.

I think that in a way george would be better off with out lennie but also he wouldnt be. I think george is a better person when lennie is around. He helps him and takes care of him. If lennie wasnt around he wouldnt have that experiance of helping someone. If he left lennie he would probably be able to live a little easier but he would probably feel really bad about it. If george left lennie i think that lennie would probably not live very well. If something happened to him he wouldnt have anyone to take care of him.

I think George would be better off without Lennie because he has a temper. Also, because Lennie was always slowing him down and thats why he would get angery. I think George would be different if he were on his own. He would have nobody to yell at. Also, there would be no one there slowing him down. I think what will happen to Lennie if George left him is that he will be lost and confused because he probabley don't know where to go. Also, he would get into trouble.

Without Lennie, I think George could go either way. It would be good in a sense that he could do what he wanted and keep a steady job without having to worry about Lennie. On the other hand, Lennie keeps things interesting for George. He gives George experiences and adventures that he would probably never have. George would be different because without Lennie it would be fun for a while, but eventually it would get old. George wouldn't have anything else to do but work. Day after day it would be the same old thing for him. If George left Lennie, Lennie would probably end up dead or in prison. George is basically like a guardian for him. Lennie would get into all kinds of trouble, wouldn't be able to get a job, and would become a poor man.

Sometimes you get to lose more saving less. It'll be a case just same as George's if he lets Lennie go away. Even Lennie bothers George and makes some troubles, I think, the only reason that George can get a job easilier is because he is with Lennie, who has great physical power and obeys him. Why would the employers hire George and Lennie at the same time if they were not altogher; since George has a body not big enough. They're interacting each other. Same is to Lennie if George leaves him. With his mental disabililty, it won't be easy to get living unless others can take care of him.
Well, George would have one less responsibility to think of. He said that Lennie lost him various jobs, and screwed up his social life. He would most likely have the most paying job, still be in Weed(Awful name for a place), and would e less bitter. However, seeing someone with intentions of a child you feel more obligated to do kind deeds. Like a role model. Of course the repetitive questioning would become tiresome. It makes me question my own intentions of morals...

I think that in George's mind living without Lennie wound be better. He would be able to settle down and live the life he has always wanted. With this thought, I think George would be better off without Lennie. Lennie has caused a lot of trouble and problems for George. He has had to lose his job and run out of town. George hasn't been able to live the life he has wanted because of Lennie. However, Lennie has also provided George with good life experiences as well. George has learned how to be responsible and how to think about others. I think George would have left Lennie with another relative if Lennie's aunt hadn't asked George to take care of him. Now, George feels the responsibility to take care of Lennie and can't leave him now. This is very caring on George's part because he is sacrificing a lot to help Lennie.
In a way i do think he would be better off without Lennie. Also in a way i don't think he would be. I think Lennie is really tying him down from things he really wants to do. It doesn't help when Lennie is always getting into trouble. Its seems that George just wants to stay in a certain place and just work. but he cant when Lennie is always getting into trouble. but i think f he leave him behind, i think that would tare him apart. He is now like part of him that he just cant leave him. If he left him i dont think he would know what to do. He would be lost.
George would sooo no be better off without lennie. They contrast each other so well. Lennie needs a friend to be there with him since he in mentally challenged. George takes everthing too seriously and goes too fast. So lennie is there is slow him down and enourage george to enjoy life. Lennie brings happiness to both of them. If george left him, lennie wouldnt do well. They rely on each other so much, especially lennie. Lennie would get harassed and would have a harder time with life. This could very easily lead lennie to depression.

I think that george would be better off without lennie. First of all, if he was he probably would still have a job in Weed. Even if he didn't have that job it would be heck of a lot easier to get one. Also, he wouldn't have to watch lennie all the time to make sure he doesn't get into any trouble at all. PLus dealing with the whole thing that lennie is mentally challenged has to make life harder. Lennie on the other hand would probably be in jail or potentially dead because of things he did. That would be terrible because george cold of stayed with him and keep him safe, like now.

To me this topic is NOT Black and White, it is a shade of gray. In my mind, in a way, George could be better off with out Lennie. George could have a wife and family. He could go where ever he wanted, spend money on anything he wanted. To me this is not the right thing to do. I would not have "enough balls" or heart to leave a mentally challenged person all by them selves. If George left Lennie, Lennie would start getting into trouble. He would get lost and wouldn't know what to do. He might have a breakdown because he has no one in his life.

I feel like he would be better alone. I feel like george would be lost with out lennie because they are always together. George always keeps Lennie out of trubel. But in a way george wishes Lennie wasnt his shadow. I feel like Lennie is always slowing George down and keeping George from having a life and having his dream even though him and lennie share the same dream. If george were to leave lennie i think lennie would eather end up in a jail cell or dead. Thats if George doesnt kill him first. I also feel george would feel lost and wouldnt know what to do.
Mr. Kay,
I don't believe that George would be better of without Lennie. I think that Lennie keeps George happy and thankful. I'm sure that George would be happy with a girlfriend, but I feel that Lennie keeps him wanting to go on, he would wouldn't want to leave him. Even though Lennie is mentally slow, I think that George enjoys the company as much as Lennie does. If George was to leave Lennie, I think that Lennie would be having a very hard time, one, cooping with George being gone, and two, without George being there to help him. Lennie would have a hard time trying to find a job, looking for a place to stay, and staying alive. George complets Lennie's life.

Would George really be better off without Lennie? Explain what evidence there is that George would/would not be different if he were on his own. What do you think would happen to Lennie if George left him?
I believe George would not be better off without Lennie. Yet at the same time I believe he would be different. Without Lennie, George wouldn't have to look after Lennie all the time and he would be able todo whatever he wanted to do. With Lennie, he has that big brother, little brother relationship in his life. Which, to me, means a lot. If George left Lennie I bet he would be devastated and he wouldn't know what to do at all. Not to mention all the trouble he would probably get into. Most importantly though, he wouldn't be able to fulfill his American dream.

I think George would be better off with out Lennie. I have multiple things for evidence to help proove this. First, if George did not have to support lennie he would probably have more cash to spend. Lennie is special so he needs "special" care. He needs someone to look after him and pay for him and his mistakes in life. George is stuck paying for food, shelter and a job with him. These may not be cash payments but physical ones. Right now there dirt poor and are looking for jobs. If Lennie was not around George would most likely have a decent job.
If George left Lennie, Lennie probably would not survive. He does not have a clue on how to feed, shelter or live by him self. Lennie needs george and its nice George is kind enough to accept him in his life.
I think the same for both ways, if lennie wasnt there then george would get more done. the both of them are good for each other. if lennie was gone george would get and do what he wanted, hell he might get a girl blah blahh.. life could be good, or maybe if he didnt get a girl hed be lonely you never no. george probably wouldnt be the same with out lennie, he wouldnt have the same morals. like in the first chapter he said some mean things, and lennie was like ill go to a cave. but george reealized he was being mean and said just kidding. and if he didnt have lennie he might of been mean all the time without saying sorry or just kiddin. I think lennie could be arrested, because so many people arent use to mentally challenged people back then. He might hurt himself or others and not be able to control himself.
I think that George would not be better off without Lennie. Because he has a little more life experience then Lennie has. I think that Lennie would not be able to function. I think that Lennie needs a friend. I think that George has the biggest impact on Lennie. I think that Lennie would be lost without his friend George. If I was Lennie I would not let george go. I would try as hard as I possibaly could to have at least one friend in my life.
I believe that goerge would be better off without lennie. He would only have to take care of himself instead of a man who is mentaly impared. If he were on his own he could get more money and buy the same stuff but just for himself. If George left him lennie would die. He would walk around looking for a mouse and then not find any food. He would starve to death. He also would not find a job and get in more trouble. Zack ruffin
I think George would be better off without Lennie in most ways. George would have settled down with a job and be able to make friends and family. Lennie is holding him back. He is also getting into trouble and getting them fired. He even got him chased out of town once. However, George feels that he must take care of Lennie because he can't just ditch him. No one else would take care of Lennie. Lennie would probually end up dead without George. Lennie would not be able to get a job because no one would hire him, and then he couldn't get food.

Mr. Kay,
In actuality, George would not be better off without Lennie. Like I said in the last blog, I think that George's experiences fully come about because of Lennie. Sure he doesn't let George sit at home and lead a simple life, but I think that George actually doesn't want that. If he was on his own, he would be bored. Also I would think it would be hard for him because he seems like a very good-hearted man,and if he couldn't give out his love and support to someone, he would be a lot different. He probably wouldn't be as smart with people to because to take care of one like Lennie, he learns a lot about how people are. See, though George lets his temper go, it is all for the best with Lennie. If Lennie was left without George, I am sure he would be really distraught and lost. He wouldn't know how to function. It would be terrible to see. I think that overall they need each other and they are the most important and vital people to each other.

Mr. Kay,
I dont think that George would be better off. I think that George appreciates life a lot more when he is with Lennie. If George were to leave Lennie right now, I think that he would really regret that decision. He would miss all the time that they spent together. George also would miss all the times they got into trouble. I know that for me, the times I get into trouble are the most memorable. He might be better off because he could settle down, get a job, and possibly have a family. I dont think that he could do that unless he was still with Lennie, in some way.

I think that George would in a way be better off without lennie. It would be good fo him because he diddn't always have to look out for him and take care of him. George would beable to do the things that he wanted to do and live a bit happier. He could get a wife and start a family. With lennie he is always doing something to get them into trouble. So without lennie george would have to worry about lennie getting into trouble. Ther is another part of george that if lennie was gone he wouldn't like it. George needs lennie in a way because without him he would feel like a part of him is missing.

I think george would be way better off on his own. First, he could hold a job for as long as he wants. It seems as if lennie blew all the jobs in the past. Also, george could get a wife and kids and wouldnt have to worry about lenny. George could settle down He wouldnt have to worry about constantly moving from town to town for work. Lennie is essentially just slowing george down and holding him back in life. He constatnly aks questions and annoys george.

I think George wouldnt be better off without Lennie with him. George has made it this far and hasnt had any problems so I think he would be lost without him. On the other hand I think differently. If George went without Lennie he would be better off. George may get more things and not have to babysit Lennie so much. George also talked about getting a girl so maybe that would happen. If George left Lennie, Lennie would be totally lost. Lennie wouldnt know what to do without George being there to help him. Lennie wouldnt get very far either because George has to tell what to say and what not to say when it comes to getting a job.
Troy Wojichowski 5th hr
I think that George would be better off in some areas of his life without Lennie, but worse off in others. If George did not stay with Lennie, he could probably still have his job back in weeds. He also would not have to run from city to city, enabling him to reach his dream of being independent and successful faster. On the other hand, if George did not have Lennie, I think he would not be as happy with his life because he was alone. Although George can get frustrated with Lennie, he still seems to get enjoyment out of his companionship and likes to help Lennie. In bad economic times where his job is not secure, he may still have had to go to different jobs. Lennie travels with him wherever George may go. Also, if George did complete his American dream, it would not truly be complete, because Lennie was part of the dream. If Lennie did not have George in his life, I think that he would be in trouble with the law possibly or hurt by someone who does not understand his condition. Lennie would have little to no money, because people would not hire him due to his mental disability. Lennie depends on George, and without him, life would be very difficult.

I don't think George could be without Lennie. Because adventures aren't fun without anyone with you. Not to mention, it's hard to make a dream come true with no one to help.
I think George wouldn't be any better without Lennie. I believe he'd spend his money without thinking twice, and be more in the ditch than he and Lennie are right now.
If Lennie was alone, there'd be no one to protect him from harm. It isn't his fault he gets into trouble. He's innocent, and no one knows because George thought they'd be better off. I feel if Lennie was on his own, he'd be jailed or killed. :(

I think that George would not be better off without lennie beacause i think he would not be able to take the pressure from knowing that that he is not being taken care of. If lennie went out to live in a cave all by himself, like he says he would, he would not be able to care for himself and most likely die. I think that George knows this and i don't think George would what to carry that on his shoulders for the rest of his life. George is also a really good freind and George would not find someone like him later if they departed from each other. When lennie gets in trouble it causes George to move to get away, in this process their dream is comming closer each time. By moving they are becoming more deterimeted and strong hearted workers, and in the end it all pays off. Instead of working at the same ranch working long hours for little pay, they are forced to look for something eles that could be better for both of them. I truly belive that if George left Lennie all by himself that Lennie would not survie he thinks he would but from what i know about him now i would say he would die, whether it was in the winter when it gets colder and the animals hide more or he simply cant find food and shelter. I could be wrong, i dont want to base my option on the cover of the book, but he could later prove me wrong if i see a improvment in his meormory and skills.

I don't think George would be better of with Lenny. In yesterday's blog, I stated that I though Lenny completes George and George comletes Lenny, and that's why they are such good friends. There is evidence that George would be diffenent in the sense that if he was alone he would overthink things. Lenny has a mellow personality and he helps George slow down and enjoy life. If he was on his own, George would try to hard to make money and probably get himself in trouble. However, if George left Lenny behind, Lenny would be a wreck. He would have no idea whats going on and he would probabaly end up wandering off somewhere. His curious mind would lead him to things that would get him in trouble for sure.
In some ways I do believe that George would be better off without Lennie, in other ways I do not. The reason why I believe George would be better off is, he would be able to live his life without having to worry about keeping anyone out of trouble. George would be able to find someone significant to him, maybe settle down and have a family, get a proper job, and make money. Also, being without Lennie he wouldn't have as much stress on him because he wouldn't have to constantly be watching over. On the other hand with Lennie, everything is always adventure. George is like a father figure to Lennie, watching over him making sure he stays out of trouble. Also, leaving Lennie behind, George would feel like he broke his promise to Lennie's Aunt Clara. Along with feeling guilty, George would constantly be wondering if it was the right decision, and where Lennie is, if he is in trouble, and if he's okay or not. If George were to leave Lennie, I think that Lennie would constantly be getting in trouble, wouldn't be able to provide for himself because he is mentally disabled, and wouldn't be able to hold a job.

I think george would be more successful, but I think if he was to suddenly leave lennie, he would be emotional. I try to put myself in georges shoes, and if I were just to leave lennie, I would feel terrible. George is like lennies older brother, and if george were just to forget about him and leave him, he would feel guilt from time to time. If george were to leave lennie, we would have that guilty feeling of wondering if lennies getting by alright. I think george would feel useless in some ways becuase he spent a great amount of time trying to better lennie and if he left him then he might feel he cant help anyone else like he has with lennie. If lennie were to be without george, he would be oh so lost. Lennie wouldnt be able to make is way in society especially in that time period. Lennie wouldnt know what to do or how to take care of himself.

George always tell Lennie he would be better off with him. However I think George would be really lonely, Lennie is a big part of him. Although the story has not really explained much of their relationship I think there is more to it than Gerorge having to take care of Lennie. To me there is a deeper meaning and I think George would not really know what to do with his life if Lennie was missing. I think Lennie feels the same way, he depends on George. He needs George as much as George needs him. They live off eachother and use eachother for there needs, but they also have some sort or relationship.
I'm not sure if George would be bettter off without Lennie. I think to say that i would need to understand their history more. but the evidence in the first chapters makes me believe that yes george would be better off alone. who knows what could have happened if Goerge had stayed in Weed. He may have found a wife, held a job longer, and he would have more freedom. I dont think that Lennie could survive if george left him. Lennie is so dependent on george that i dont think he could take care of himself without george.
I think that George would not be better off without Lennie. Lennie and George complete each other. If George was on his own he would not still have the same sense of adventure he has with Lennie. If George left Lennie I believe that terrible things would happen. Not only to Lennie but to George. Lennie would accedently do something to harm himself. And with George not there to save the day things could go very wrong.

I think that George would be better off in some ways and not in others. If Lennie wasn't with him, George could hold a job. Life might be a little easier and he wouldn't have to run out of town. But without Lennie I think that George would be lonely. So far we haven't heard of him having any family he can live with or any other friends other than Lennie. And even though George says how he thinks it would be easier with out him I don't think he really wants Lennie to leave because he likes having him around. I think if George left Lennie that he would wonder around not knowing what to do or where to go. I don't think he could survive very well on his own.

Would George really be better off without Lennie? Explain what evidence there is that George would/would not be different if he were on his own. What do you think would happen to Lennie if George left him?
I think that George would have been better without Lennie. I think that if George wouldnt have lennie he would have still had a job somewhere else and not be running away and looking. I think that george seems like a very strong willed person and a hard worker. I think that he would have had no problem keepiong a job. George might have been someone who could make their own living and not need anyone elses help. I think that lennie would not make it without george. Lennie needs a helping hand in his life to get him through. I think that he couldnt get a job or maintain one because he would mess up and do something wrong to get fired.
first of all if George ever left Lennie, Lennie wouldn't know what to do. he has been depending on someone his whole life. after aunt clara died George had to watch after him. he can't remember very much and is trouble so he would have trouble finding work and eventually have knowthing left. you could think of George's situation of going off alone in two different ways. you could say that he might find a wife and have a family. also he could get work easier and have a home. you could see it as George giving up on Lennie and abandoning him. i think he would feel guilty and would loose a good friendship.

George would be better off without Lennie in his life. He would be able to achieve his dream of owning a farm. Lennie’s disability makes it hard for them to stay in one place. Lennie doesn’t understand his own strength and how others think he should act. For example, when they had to leave Weed after Lennie stroked the girl’s dress. Lennie’s strength is like a full-grown bear. Unfortunately, his mind is like that of a bear cub. If George left Lennie he could be thrown into jail, starved to death, or murdered. Lennie is helpless without George. However, George would be lonely with out Lennie.
I think that George just says he would better off without Lennie. I think that George would be bored and lonely if he did not have Lennie around. George obviously has a strong relationship with Lennie and if he was not in his life he would be miserable. Although Lennie brings stress and anger to George's life he also brings him something very important, Friendship. Like I said earlier I'm sure if Lennie left George, George would be miserable.I think George sees Lennie as a little brother and he thinks it is his responsibility to look over him and protect him. I'm sure that Lennie will end up leaving George in the future and I am interested on how he will react.

I think George would be better off without lennie in a few ways, but also he wouldn't be better off in many ways. He would be better off because he would be able to live his own life and not have to worry about anyone elses life. Alsohe could explore the world and keep a legit job. Another reason he might be better is that he wouldnt have to run out of towns or hide in ditches he could just be a normal person. He wouldn't be better off because he would lose his best friend, and the only one he talks to. I think lennie would eather be in jail or dead without goerge. I think he would piss the wrong person off and just get shot.

I think George would be a totally different person without Lennie. He could be really successful and making money but he is stuck moving from job to job when Lennie gets in trouble. But if he didn't stay with Lennie he would be lonely and would have to deal with the guilt of leaving him alone. Lennie would not last long on his own. He would either wind up in jail for not thinking the things through that he's doing or end up hurting himself. He has trouble remembering things so it would be very hard for him to hold down a job without George around. Then he wouldn't have money or a place to live and would not have a very good life. Mentally disabled people need a companion and thats why Lennie has George. They share a bond and I think it would be a hard thing to break.
In this question there are to ways it could be answered. One being wether george even had knew leenie in the first place. If so i feel it would make his journey somewhat easier. Being able to get himself from place to place without worries. Not only that but be able to get and maintain jobs with out the hassle of Lennie.
On the other hand if he were to still have know him i think that george, being the person he is, would be able to but he would always carry the image of lennie in the back of his head. He would always cry and wonder to him self what lennie was up to or how exactly he was doing and at the same time traveling in search of job and working.
I personally feel that if george were to leave lennie alone, lennie would struggle more due to no support or love next to him. George on the other hand, which i mentioned above, would always think and worry about lennie. I feel lennie would not make it unless he found a good family or place to settle down in or found another migrant worker with the patients, and be a good friend for lennie. I believe lennie staying with george is the best decision in this situation.

I think that George would have a hard time getting along without Lennie. Lennie seems to be the equivalent of a brother to George. George looks over Lennie because he promised his aunt that after she died he would protect him. I also think that George would feel extremely guilty if he didnt help out Lennie. I don't think that George really means any of the kinda jerkish things he says to Lennie, but i think it sort of reminds Lennie to stop acting foolishly. George keeps Lennie in line but also Lennie sort of helps george not take things so seriously. Lennie gives george sort of a chill attitude, and it helps georde stay on top of thing because he has to remember things for lennie as well. George would probably be a meaner person if he wasn't with lennie. He wouldn't be so understanding with people. Lennie wouldn't be able to make it without George. George is a guardian angle in the sence that Lennie can do something wrong and know george will take care of it.
I think that George would be better off without Lennie. only because Lenny is always hanging on George. slowing the process down for George. George could already have a good life if he didn't have Lenny. if George left Lenny, Lenny would probably have been lost and confused petting little mice. also Lenny would probably be in jail for all the things he has done. George could of had a good job by now and stayed in the town of weed.
i think at first glance someone might make the assumption that george would be better off without lennie. like he would slow him down in and limit him. im convinced though that lennie is helping george to grow as a person. if nothing else lennie is someone to keep george company. this kind of reminds me of the movie rainman with tom cruise and dustin hoffman. lennie sometimes aggrivates george but i think its a good test for george to see what kind of a person he is. on the other hand, if george was to leave lennie i think lennie would be devastated, i think he needs someone to help him along the way.

i think the 2 need to be with each other, because while one keeps company to the other, one teaches the other. if george was on his own, he mentions at time that he would have a girl, wether he was married, or is dating a girl if lennie was not there. i believe tht if lennie truly did run away to the hills, or did something else to leave george, i think he would be devastated because he knows he ends up driving away everyone. so how could you get married, if she would want to run away?

I do not think George is better off without Lennie. I think they keep each other company. I think George would be very very lonely without Lennie. I think Lennie would be totally screwed if George left him. Like he would end up getting hurt or in trouble with some other people or something. Or if he actually went to find a cave to stay in he might of gotten in a tussle with a bear.

i do think that George would be be better with out Lennie. the reason that he would be better with out him is because he is always happening to slowdown what he is doing to help Lennie.Lennie is always asking the same questions over and over again. if Lennie was to leave George than i think that he would in some way be a hazard to himself and others.
