Cardmarking 2, Day 1

Today you read during class. Make sure you are using your time wisely and not getting behind. The project is due March 25 and you do not want to rush on a project worth over 200 points.

Since we are reading, what do you think the importance of reading is? What is the difference between reading for pleasure and reading for content? How can they work together? How can this project help you in other classes as well?

reading is very important in life weather you relize it or not. eveywhere around us ther are words to be read.they are on ads, in school, at work, in directions, on road signs, letters, saftey percautions, and many others. to get by in life you need to know things and you get a lot of it from reading. when we read, we gain knowledge. when we read for pleasure we are usually reading something that holds are intrest. you may not think we could gain as much from reading something we like than a book with content. however it just depends on what you like and what the content of the books has to offer. i am not looking forward to this project because when i read a book i just like to read it and enjoy the story. i hate over analyzing books. this project could help us look at things in different ways and get more out of things we learn.

I think that the importance of reading is that when we read we learn meanings. Reading for pleasure is different then reading for content because when you read for pleasure you usally read a magazine. When you for content I think that you get more out of the book then you would if you were reading for pleasure. Sometimes you get the context of the book if you read it for pleausure. That I think that it is a book that you are really into. This will help on the project by getting the context of the book. We the students will get the meaning of the book.

I think the importance of reading is to be able to comprehend what we read. I know when I read something, I have to read it at least 2 or more times so I can fully understand it. Reading for pleasure is something you do just for fun. Reading for pleasure you understand the characters and the plot and theme. When you are reading for content you are trying to find the deeper messages. An example would be the characters motivation. These can work together to create a visual in your mind of the story when your reading it. You'll not only understand the characters, but also understand their emotions and feelings. This project will help us to prepare for longer and more complex stories we might read in the future.

The Importance of reading is one not to be taken lightly. If it wasn't for books how would the past generation get it's information? Our society would devolve into nothingness and we wouldn't make any progress as for technology. The difference of content and pleasure is obvious. When you are reading the book for pleasure you just want to read a plot. All you want to do is continue throughout the day almost non-stop until you finish it. A less popular content reading is for information and education. However, there usually only one tone, dry, boring and unimaginative. I could go on but there really isn't any other way for the texts. So I won't go criticizing when I don't have better idea. honestly I have no idea how they could work together.

Reading is a very important thing. Whether you're reading for content or for fun it is still very important. Many people aren't even fortunate enough to even get to get a chance to read. However there are differences between the two. When reading for pleasure, most of the time it is because you want to read and you have nothing else to do at the moment. Most times when you read for enjoyment it isn't forced upon you. Reading for content is a whole different story. When reading for content most of it is forced reading. Plus it is done within a certain time constraint. In addition this you are required to have a great deal of knowledge on the topic you read about. You rarely enjoy the book you are forced to read about. Although these two styles are quite different they can go together. You can enjoy reading while you are searching for content. If you can get into the book, it allows you to comprehend better. Plus it doesn't seem like as much of a chore to read if you like it. This project can help you in other classes because it allows to focus on tasks that need to be completed. Every class involves some book work and if you can enjoy it and learn it, it can be very good.

I think that reading is a very important thing. It really helps your readying ability if you are an aivd reader. The difference between reading for content and pleasure is the level of enjoyment. I know that reading for pleasure is a lot more fun than for content. When you are reading for pleasure, you reading for fun. When you are reading for content, you are reading because you have to get something out of it for a project or something else. This project MAY make us learn how to take better notes and connect with what we are reading. In return with being connected, you will learn better and more efficiently.

The importance of reading is gaining knowledge. There is so much information we gain from reading; the importance of what we have learned in history and the information we obtain on a daily basis allows us to grow and learn. When reading we gain insight about different subjects, different types of literary techniques, and increases our vocabularly. Reading for pleasure is much different than reading for content. When reading for pleasure it is a piece of literature that interests you. When reading for content you are usually reading for knowledge and requires much more concentration because you are looking for information in what you are reading. Reading for pleasure and reading for content can work together because you are still reading to gain knowledge. This project can help me in other classes because it is teaching me to pay closer attention to details as I am reading.

I think reading is important because it helps expand your comprehension and vocabulary. The difference between reading for pleasure and content is what you learn. Like in a book you may read for pleasure you find out about a fictional characters life or what he/she is going through at the time. In most books that you read for content you find out how to do things like grammar, history, how to fix or do something. They can work together well because you may like to read about history or how to make things instead of fictional story's. I think this project can help in other classes because it could potentially be a good study habit. It's also a form of how to organize things you may need to present to a class or group of people.

I feel the importance of reading is to develop comprehension strength. Reading is what gets someone to be a better reader. It works out their mind in being able to comprehend bigger and harder words. Gets the person more comfortable and widens the vocabulary in the minds. The differance between the two is that reading for pleasure is for someone who is not reading to gain information about something while reading for content is someone reading to gain information on a project or assignment they might be involved in. They may work together in many ways. One being lets say there is a person whom is interested in dentistry. The person not only enjoys reading books on information and find the information interesting but does it to learn more matierial on the subject in which they plan on using. It will help me learn a larger vocabulary that maybe i have not yet read yet.

Believe it or not, reading is a very important part of your life. Everywhere you go, you have to read something. For example: reading signs, directions, cards, billboards, etc. Reading is a key concept of life. If you dont ever learn to read, then you would go nowhere in life. Reading for your pleasure and reading for content are two very differnt things. Of course reading for pleasure is my choice because im reading the book because i chose to read it on my own time. Where as reading for content you are sort of being forced to read a book. They can work together becuase for this project we actually get to choose a book of our choice instead of having to read a book given to us. This project can help us in other classes because if we have to read a book or do a book report, we know what things to look for in a book, or choose the same book and you already have all the notes and stuff.

as you progress through school you really realizle the importants of reading. these last couple of years its really dawned on me how important it is. for instance almost everything you do in school is derived from it. even taking tests sometimes requires you read. ive learned that the faster you can read and the more information you can retain can really be beneficial to you in school. the difference between reading for leisure and reading for content is that one your doing for fun and the other your doing to get information out of your reading. although they may sound different, theyre really quite similar. it would be good to try to make your 'content' reading more like 'plessure' reading, it would make the task more fun. i think this project will help in other classes becuase, like i said before, reading is a huge part of school. if i could have one super power for school it would be to be a fatastic reader.

Mr.Kay,
The impotance of reading is to teach us that there is a lesson to everything. I think that reading, no matter it being for pleassure or education, always teaches us something in the end. When we read a book we are put into diffrent surronding, people, and a whole new life. By doing this we see how others handle there problems. The diffrence between reading for pleasure and reading for content are diffrent, but are also the same. I think that when we read for the fun of it we aer still learning we just don't realize. For the simple fact of when reading for fun the lesson is candy coated. But, when reading for content the author just bluntly comes out and tels you what he wants you to know. This project can help us in other classes because it helps us learn to read between the lines instead of having everything directly told to us.

I think the importance of reading is making yourslef a stronger person. When you read you grow mentally, books help you grow as a person. Its a place to turn when life gets to hard just exacpe in a book. The difference between reading for content and reading for preasure is that when read for content your reading for something or someone. Reading for peasure your reading for yourslef your reading to make you stronger. They work together because when you read you get smarter and the hole idea behind reading for content is getting smarter. I think this project can help me to maybe take the time to acually read and understand materials.

Reading is almost just as important as specking or some would say that reading is even more important. With reading we have a way of recording events and information for next gernations. Also reading can be used to express ones ideas and storys they have made up. We learn up to i would say 25% or more from reading in school from books and packets. The difference between reading for pleasure and reading for content is that when reading for pleasure one is reading beacause he or she wants to read. When you are reading for content you are reading to gain information about someone or something that is usally linked to education. Sometimes you are reading for both beacause what you are reading to learn and you find it intersting so you want to read. This project can help me in other classes beacause it gives me something to do when i have free time in other classes instead of fooling around.

Mr. Kay,

I believe that there are a couple of good important reasons why reading is so important. First, it has been proven that by reading you improve your speech, which Mr. Kay loves. Second, reading helps you gain knowledge, you learn new places, words, cultures. And third, reading gives you the power to play your own little movie in your head, you can make the characters look like whatever you want, you get to be the creator. Reading for pleasure is when you read to have fun. Your reading because you enjoy it, your reading because you have a pasion for it. Reading for pleasure works really well with reading for content, for example, if you get a project in L.A. where you have to read a story, summarize it, and then present it. If you love reading, then this is going to be fun for you, you would enjoy it. This would work good for other classes because in almost every class you are going to be reading some time or another.

I think the importance of reading is so that we can read better. Also, for us to learn better. The difference between reading for pleasure and reading for content is that when we read for pleasure we can choose any book we want to read. Reading for content means that we are required to read a book for school or something. They can work together by helping us learn. Also, help us with school work. I think the project will help us learn new ways of learning.

Mr. Kay,
To start, there is a couple reasons why reading is important. For starters it can make you a bit more knowledgeable. You do this by broadening your vocabulary, also it lets you enjoy something. To me there is a big difference between reading for pleasure and reading for content. At school when we read as a class, I personally think that we over analyze the books we read. We do this to understand what is going on and how it pertains to us. Now reading for pleasure, one can just read for enjoyment and they wont be expected to think about it to much. Reading for pleasure and reading for content can go together very easily. You can read for pleasure, but you can really understand what you read and relate it to your life. It just like in movies. Most of us like to watch the Batman movies and the Star Wars series just for fun. This would be watching for pleasure. But they still have specials on the History channel and such that analyze the films and pay attention to everything that could go on in the movie and relate it to real life. This is obviously reading for content. Regardless, this can help us in other classes because it can help us extremely with comprehension. This makes me think about History class mainly. If we are reading out of the book, it might make me think how what we are learning about pertains to me and my life and maybe making me a better person overall. I guess that reading could be a really important thing to ones personality if they read for the combo of pleasure and content.

Readin is a very important part of everyone's life. It is the universal language, and it is required to make people understand you. It is just about everywhere, but there are different kinds of reading. There is reading for pleasure, and there is reading fort content. Reading for pleasure is generally because you want to read and you generally have nothing else to do at the moment. Reading for content where you are forced to read and you have to do it in a certain time frame. When reading for content, you can try to make it fun by pretending it is for pleasure. This can make school more fun and enjoyable for yourself and can get you motivated to do you work, (i guess).

What do I think the importance of reading is? It's so easily proved while I'm doing this bloggies. More reading, better writing skills, easier pop-up of ideas, faster reading, extension of your knowledge and mind, and improvement of the way you think. Not only those 'relatively' superficial benefits, but also, as we do reading, in order to concentrate to reading the book we have need of to be in quiet and calm mood. It, and, functions like a meditation. Therefore, reading is a good way to calm down hyper characteristic.
Basically, when you say you read for just fun, we come up with 'Harry Potter's, or 'Twilight's, which gives you instant excitement rather than long-life learning. Reading for the contents, in the contrast, includes reference books, such as science magazine, history book, or classic books. At this point, if I try to say what's the best way to work with them altogher, I'd say "have fun reading books." It may sound shuuutuupid, but it's so true, since whether you have fun reading a book is just up to the attitude you have toward the 'book'. Someone may force you to read books and make you turn over number of pages, if the book is not impressive to you, there's no way to absorb or digest the book into your body.
I chose a book, named 'butterfly revolution', which seemed to be kinda similar to 'the lord of the flies', which I read with interest. This book seemed to be relating to human society, therefore it may help me with thinking in the U.S.History class.
Besides, of course, this may be a motivation for me to break the break the period of un-reading.

The importance of reading, to me, is to improve our writing skills as well as our understanding of literature. When we read we learn new words and see compound and complex sentences as well as simple sentences, all the time and don't even realize it. When you read for pleasure you're just reading the book or story for you own personal enjoyment. It may be just to get away from the world for a little and go into your own little world. With the exceptions of both Zacks in 5th hour, they're always in their own little worlds =P. Yet when you're reading for content it could be just to learn. Or you could be reading just so that you're informed about what els is going on in the world apart from what's going on in your life. These two can work together when you're reading a biography. It could be for personal enjoyment as well as laerning about the person in the story and what they went through. To tell the truth i'm not sure how this will help me in other classes. I'm sure it probably can help in some way, I just don't know what way that is yet.

I think that the importance of reading was told to me a long time ago. I tihnk it was that the only way to learn knowledge is to read. I think that reading for pleasure books are things that make you feel good when your read. I tihnk taht content books are things that are strictly knowledge based and something assigned. I tihnk they can work together in books that are very fun to read but convey an overall message or knowledge. I tihnk that for as much as we hate reading, all books that we read are I tihnk tha written with the intent of some symbol or knowledge. this project helps us in other classes because it shows us the best ways to pull knowledge and other information out of a book.

If your reading for fun then you can pick wut bok you want to read. If you are reading a book for like school then most the time you cant pick what book you want to read. They can work together by you can enjoy reading a book for school too. I think reading for pleasure is much more fun and better than having to read for content. I feel that i would get more into a book just reading it on my own. I don't like reading when i have to. I don't really think they can work together besides just have a little fun and learning about things. This project can help us take different views on things and help us do better.

Very few jobs don't require reading. To get anywhere in life, you must be able to read and write. When you are reading for pleasure, you are choiceing to read. It's a great way to relax and escape from the world for a little while. When reading something for content it's to help you understand something and being able to say you've read it. It's to gain knowledge and get more smart. This project will help me in other classes because you always learn something from what you read. Basically we can apply the moral of the story (whatever it is) to your life and classes.

The difference btw reading for fun and reading for context, is that when u readnfor fun u are enjoying wat u read. When u read for context u are reading for info. Maybe to some people that is fun I don't know. For example, say you are doing a reaserch project on a book u like. That way u would enjoy looking for info of the book. To me this project is dumb. It can help me in other classes by gettin me used to doing reaserch on stuff, comprehending it, and putting it down on paper. It can also help me by getting better at reading in general.

The importance of reading is to expand your knowledge. It will help you learn many things you wouldn't have learned unless you happen to have tons of money and can go anywhere you want. Reading for pleasure is mostly, fiction. I sometimes do like to read non-fiction or informa5tional books on a specific thing. TO have them working together is the best thing you can do. I think that if you find a book that interests you and still serves a purpose other than just for pleasure, you are on the right track. This project can help me in other classes buy forcing me to read. It will help me find what kind of books that i am interested in and then it will lead me to a good book for another class. It will also help when I get to college. I will have to read many books that I probably will not want to read but hopefully I will be a faster reader by then.

Reading holds a very important standard in todays society. It is important to the way we learn and how we comprehend things. Reading for pleasure is when you are personally reading a book just to enjoy it's contents. Reading for content is reading to help you grasp ideas. When reading for content you are searching for a meaning, but when reading for pleasure you mostly stumble upon it. These two ideas work together very well. They work together nicely because reading for content not only allows you to expand your vocabulary but to broaden your mind all in all. This makes it easier for you to be able to read more easily and catch more of the meanings hidden in literature.

the importance of reading is you can learn things from book. Also get a better comprehension form reading books. i think reading for pleasure is picking your own book out. Seeing if you like it. If you dont getting a new one and finding a good one you like personally. Content reading is when your looking for something like a textbook for example. the book may not be exciting for you but you have to read it. this could help you in other classes by making good presentations on books. also understanding book on a higher level.

I think that the importance of reading is gaining knowledge. Also, over the summer I discovered that I really loved to read. Since, I've been reading so much, I've come to realize that my vocabulary has improved. I believe that reading for pleasure and reading for content has a great difference. Reading for pleasure, is fun and enjoyable. You get to choose the book, and read when you want, what you want, and your not being judged/grades on having to know everything. As for content reading, it takes the fun out of reading. Usually, the book isn't all that great, and having to constantly answer questions, having quizzes, and writing journals on it, just sucks the fun out. Also, if the books holds your interest, it will keep you wanting to read more and more. Reading for pleasure and reading for content and work together by improving your comprehending skills, and reading strageries. I think that this project will help us in other classes by learning to interpret things differently, and having your own opinion. Also, you will get more out of things, if you actually understand rather than just doing the work.

The importance of reading is to expand on what you know. It expands your vocabulary, your reading skills, imagination, communication skill, both oral and writing, and your knowledge. Reading for pleasure is enjoyable and carefree. Reading for content; you need to find foreshadowing imagery and themes. However, once you have looked at content you end up finding it in your pleasurable reading. It is like looking through a clean wind shield after you just wiped it off. Everything is clearer. The project will help by giving us a different point of view on reading that we will need to us on the project.

Reading is something that everyone should do. It can help you in many ways whether you know it or not. For example in college maybe you have to read a book but already read that book then you are one step ahead. Reading for pleasure is 90 percant of the time a book you like so you enjoy it and get it done fast. WHile for content isn't always the book you want so you don't read it that good. Because for pleasure you pay close attention to what you are reading. However they can work together because if you read in your free time then when you have to read for content it could be on the same book. This can help me i other classes because i can learn how to manage bug projects and can make me look in depth on books.

I think there are many things you can get out of reading. One thing being the gain of knowledge. You can gain knowledge by reading important things in literature and that would help you comprehend better. Another thing you can get is a wider variety of vocabulary. When you read a differnt book each time that author uses different vocabluary and by reading it you will understand what those words mean. A tird thing you can get from it is better reading for yourself. Once you have read a couple of books it gets easier for you to understand what you are reading. The main differnce between reading for enjoyment and content is obviously for fun or to get something out of it. Reading for fun is choice you make and reading for content is sometimes commanded or you are reading to know about someting. The way these two can work together is by the project we are doing right now. The enjoyment part would be us choosing what book appeals to us. The content part would be us doing a project on what we chose to read. This project may help you in other classes by giving you an idea of what you need to do.

It also allows you to be able to pick something that you will want to finish. When you read something for content it normally isn't that enjoyable and it's a dreading exspericne most of the time. I think the importance of reading is to see how good writers get their ideas on paper. Anither reason is for enjoyment. Reading from enjoyment is different than reading for content by, you get to pick books that you like. Reading for content are stories that sometimes arent enjoyable, and you read them for writing styles. These two can work together by simply reading what you enjoy and understanding how authors kepp your attention while reading. This project can help in other classes by, finding amusement in something you thought youd never like. I dont really like reading, but with the book im reading now, I enjoy it. Even for a class like gym, if the sport is something you dont like, you could wind up enjoying it.

I think reading is a very important thing. You can learn a lot from reading like new words, ideas, and how to form better sentences and talk better. Without textbooks, people wouldn't be able to be educated and receive information. Without newspapers, people wouldn't know whats going on in the world. Reading for pleasure to me is like reading a magazine or maybe the twilight series. Reading for content is when I have to read a textbook for school or Into the Wild. These can work together though like with our book project. We get to pick something that we want to read but we are reading it for content. This project can help with other classes because we have to manage our time well and turn in quality work.

That leads me to my first point reading for pleasure is just reading because you like something, you might not gain alot of knowledge from this kind of reading but you do get enjoyment out of it. But if you love to read the dictionary more power to you, you could gsin a lot from that. My second point is reading for content reading for content all depends whats it about and what you like, you might gain knowledge, you never no. they can work together because alot of the time when you read you picture it in your mind and this helps improve the way your mind works. this project will help us exppand the way we use our brains.

Most kids in high school don't like to read for pleasure and all they do is read in classes for content and its not books they like, so they don't want to read for pleasure. Reading for pleasure is fun and most times your not to worried about getting every detail. Reading for content is very different. When you try to get the most out of a book its harder and requires harder work than normal. You can't just skim through a book to know it. I guess the two could work together when your realy into a book and want to get everything perfect. You would work harder to find all the content in the book. This project can also help me in class because I will have better reading skills. I will also learn how to be a better organizer because its harder to keep all that detail and remember it correctly.

Reading is important because it gives us knowledge and expands our thought process. Almost every book has something to learn in it. Whether it be a Dr. Suess book, a romantic novel, or something you were assigned to read for class, you can take away some form of knowledge from it. Most books or textbooks we read for content give us information and facts that we gain knowledge of. Even if we are just reading for pleasure, it still gets our brains thinking about themes and life lessons, whether we realize it or not. We can read for pleasure and content at the same time. For example, this project puts together us reading a book we would regularly read for pleasure and also pushes us to read for content. This project can help us in other classes by showing us how to read a broad amount of pages and still find good content at the same time. We can break up information into certain page numbers or chapters and go back after reading to find what we need to complete the assingment and understand the text better.

We need to read so we can communicate with each other and the world. If we couldnt read, the world would be a mess and it would be very caotic. Reading for pleasure is when you choose to read for fun, or a magazine. Reading for content would be for information. This info could be for a project or just general knowledge about something. If someone enjoys history, then they are reading for both pleasure and content because they are getting info too. Honestly, i dont think this project will be able to help much in other classes. I say this because i dont like this project, and i think we are expected to do too much. I dont see how making quizzes and other such things will help us in other classes. But thats just my opinion.

Since we are reading, what do you think the importance of reading is? What is the difference between reading for pleasure and reading for content? How can they work together? How can this project help you in other classes as well?

By reading you gain knowledge. If we didn't read we would probably all be very stupid (or in some cases stupider.). Reading for pleasure is reading because you want to, reading for content is usually reading because the teacher made you. They can work together to make us smarter (as said earlier.) It can help us in other classes because if it does make us smarter it will improve our grades. Or with the project we are doing now, you let us pick our own book so we also get to enjoy reading. It's a mixture of reading for pleasure and content.

I think that reading provides two very important things, enjoyment and information. These are not the only two things reading provides, but I think that they are two very important aspects of reading. Reading for information gives us more insight on a huge variety of topics. We are well informed on our country and world when we read things that provide information, such as newspapers. Reading for enjoyment allows the reader to learn about other lifestyles, periods of time, and perspectives of other people. With reading you can enter another person's world, and also provide knowledge for yourself. When you are reading for pleasure, you take the time to enjoy and comprehend the whole plot of the story. When you are reading for content, it is more of finding what you need, then setting the book aside. You don't read and understand the whole story, just collect bits and pieces of information you need. If you combine reading for enjoyment and reading for content, you can provide yourself both positives of the different styles of reading. This project can help me in other classes by teaching me how to fully comprehend a story and find information I wasn't aware of when I read it the first time. It helps me learn to be more thorough in my school work.

I think that reading is one of the most important things. Reading is the key to knowledge. People read to be informed, intertainment, directions, pleasure, and a few more. without reading people would just be stupid and not know very much. Without learning how to read we couldn't teach others and we could no learn from others. For example, we would not now about our past and our history. We would know nothing about the cave men or the egyptians. The difference between pleasure reading and content is content you are being informed. when pleasue you are reading for your pleasure. They can work together by reading sonthing that is infomational and you like to read it. This project can help me understand in other classes by helping me with my reading skills.

I think the importance of reading is gaining knowledge. Even if your reading for pleasure you still learn things. I think one of the main things your learn in reading is empathy. Reading from someone else's point of view really opens up many realizations. Learning about things like peoples reasoning for actions of personality types. Reading is divided up into two sectors reading for pleasure and reading for content. When you read for pleasure you absorb the meaning of the story and hopefully in a way enjoy it. Reading for content, i believe is more just skimming. Most of the time reading for content doesn't mean absorbing all the information just the needed answers. But hopefully reading for content may become pleasurable when finding something of interest. I think one of the main reasons this project will help for other class is my timing. I think its important to really set up a time guide for such a large project. Especially because this is a project done majority at home, that you need to make sure your staying on top of things. I also think that it will have to help with the comprehension of readings. It will be hard to get an A on this assignment if you don't fully comprehend the book your rearing.

I believe that the importance of reading is to broaden the human imagination. To make us think about scenarios around us. Pleasure reading is sometimes more enjoyable, because the theme is usually something that can catch a reader's interest with a single word(SKILL! :o). It is normally a hobby to pull out of the bookshelf on rainy days when no one wants to play.

Reading for content is for when you're searching for information on a specific subject. Even though the book may tell you to look in certain encyclopedias for more on different points of the subject. I normally look up a few books with the same subject or keyword, and base my search on that.

The two work together to bring in fact to fiction. To weave truth into stories.

I believe the project will help me plan for other projects in a 'similar' fashion. I hope I get a good grade. :3

Reading stimulates the mind and gets your brain going. It gives you something to concentrate on, and depending on your reading level, gives you a challenge. Being able to read is so important in the world today, because words are evrywhere. Reading for pleasure is when you read something you are really interested in. It makes you read more and more because you cant put the book, magazine or whatever you are reading down. Reading for content may be to just calm you down. Reading can relax some people and helps your nerves. You just chill and silently read something you like. They work together becasue you cant get pleasure out of a book if you arent in the right mindset or if you are upset (content.)

The importance of reading is key becuase we use it everywhere. We read our TV guides, books, and newspapers. Reading for pleasure is just for the enjoyment while reading for content is like if you want to learn more about something or you have to write a paper on something. They can tie in together because you can do a paper or project on something you are interested in. This project will help me learn how to stay connected with the story and be able to reidarate it to others. I will be able to present my plot to fellow students. This material or skill may be needed in other future classes.

Weather u want to believe it or not, reading is very important. Everywhere you look you see letters to be read. Reading can help u by becoming more smart and can help you with writing. Reading for pleasure is when u get to chose your own book. Reading for content is not fun. being forced to read something you dont want to is not fun what so ever.

their are many importances of reading. we need to read so we gain information, so we can expand our imagination, and we need to read because it is most likely the number 1 way of communication. the importance of reading for me, most of the time, is the fact that i can gain information. but some times, on few occasions, i like to read for the enjoyment of the story. i may have read very few books on my own choice, but the one i have read, really hit me hard. the book i akm now doing on my book "report" is called looking for alaska. and, i will not divulge to much information about it, but it does have some devastating things inside of it. now, wether we know it or not, we are always learning, even when we are reading. i find everything i read not only to be informational, but in stories that iu read, i get their morals, i understand new words, and i get a grasp of how things went along and how the plot developed. i get all of that out of a book. because it is not the fact wether you are reading for pleasure or for knowledge, because whenever you read, you do both. i feel this project will give me a better understaning of what teachers have to go through when doing these kind of projects. and since i want to go into teaching, this will give me an idea of how i will like it.
