Tomorrow we will discuss chp. 5 & 6. Please be sure to bring your chp. 5 study guide. Please read chp. 7 & 8 for Friday.
Today we played a discussion game about chps 3 & 4. How effective do you think this review was? Did you learn something new from your classmates that you didn't realize from your reading? Also, give me three examples as to how the concept of totalitarianism is progressing on Animal Farm. Be specific, and make a prediction about how you envision this playing out towards the end of the story.

I feel the review game helped a little. most of the answers people were saying to the questions i had. i did miss a couple questions and hearing the different answers helped. i mostly knew the answers but my classmates embellished on them and made me understand them more in depth. this is more representing totalitarianism now because napoleon i think or squealer are taking control of everybody. they said that any questions or problems go through them and they decide what happens. also they are using the dogs to intimidate everybody into listening to them. a last example would be that every time somebody wants to say something, he doesn't let them talk because he doesn't care as much. he also said that the windmill that snowball had been working on all that time was his idea.

today we discussed chapters 3 n 4 and ithaught the review was good i learned alil at a time. at least i learnedsomething huh hah. then the totalitarianism on the animal farm has gone through the roof, for example, the pigs well napolean has run off clover and the other pig because he didnt beleive the same way as them. then he changed the sunday meetings and he said they were point less, bt the other animals are too dumb to realizewhat hes doing to them. then the pig has made it so when they do have a meeting after raising the flag pole they have to march there btts bac to the barn and sit single filed, kinda like there in a military brnch or something. my prediction at the end is that one of the animals come back nd knock some since in to then and theyll get the farmer back and they'll lose napolean.
I really didn't feel like the review game helped at all. I feel like the questions were asked and then everyone just read their answers off the sheets. I did like however the way that everyone else had a different take on certain questions, It was interesting to see how different every ones ideas were. The idea of Totalitarianism is progressing in the novel by the pigs becoming more and more powerful, some of the pigs turning against themselves, and expatriation of Snowball. I feel like at the end of the novel that all of the animals will gang up against the pigs, or maybe just all animals fighting against each other.
I think this game was a little help. You got to hear everyone else's answer and it could help you understand the ideas better. I learned that everyone's answers are so different and we all have a different way at looking at things. One way totalitarianism is progressing is why Napolean uses his dogs to chase Snowball off the farm. Napolean has power over the dogs and he used that power to over ride Snowballs. Another way is when he takes over the dogs because he thinks he will give them the best education. Napolean thinks that he's the smartest and since he can read and write, he thinks he will be the best to teach the dogs. And lastly, when Napolean decides that there will be no more meetings and he gets to make the decisions for everyone else. Napolean takes it upon himself to make the decisions for everyone and decide what their going to do with the farm. Towards the end of the story, I think all the other animals and going to rebel against Napolean.
i thought the review worked great. i learned a lot. e not for the playing of the game, but when we were reviewing with are team to prepare for the game. because we would ask the questions and discuss it. i also learned some when people would add onto are answers, and when we just didn't answer and listed to other peoples answers. the pigs are becoming much more powerful now. especially napoleon who seem to be acting as leader now out of force. they are also spreading lies among the animals to win there favor, so they wont resist. pretty soon napoleon will have total control.
I think the review game helped a little bit. It was pretty much just reading off what you wrote down on the sheet and could have been mixed up a bit to make it better. But it was good to hear what other people wrote down just in case your answer wasn't as good as it could have been. Totalitarianism is starting to show itself a lot in the book now. For one, Napoleon is starting to become an outright dictator. Another example is how the higher-ups, the pigs, are getting better food and don't have to work hard for it. A third reason is the animals are starting to revolt which is usually how all dictatorships end in.
I liked playing the review game. I feel like i had a better understanding of what was going on after hearing what everyone had to say. I also feel that when there was a competition everyone tried harder to understand and establish deeper thoughts. I think it helped and i would love to play agian. # examples would be when Napolean gets rid of Snowball, and using the dogs to make him more powerful. Also, changing how things are done based upon how he thinks they should be done. I have a feeling this wotn work out, and the animals will go against the pigs or rebel again.

I think that the review was very effective. I picked up a lot of things that I hadnt thought about and it was fun! Totalitarianism is very common throughout this book. For example, the pigs are slowly taking over the farm and controlling the other pigs. But even before the pigs were in controll, Mr. Jones was, another example of totalitarism. The pigs are really taking advantage of their power and won't allow the rest of the animals to have any apples or milk.
I enjoyed playing that review game in class today. It helped me with my understanding of the story. Before, I thought it was hard to follow along because i dont really read books like this. But I see the progression of totalitarianism in the farm because the pigs are causing it. the pigs are taking control of everything and keeping things they want them to be. I have a feeling that in the end, the other animals will revolt against the pigs. Maybe in the end the farm will just be a free for all and everyone will just do what they want.
I thought the game was pretty effective. It gave a lot of insight to everybody's ideas and examples that I liked but it was also very boring. I did learn a lot of new things and heard a lot of things that I missed when I read the chapters for the first time. An example of totalitarianism in the book is how all the pigs have decided that they are going to run the farm and are really only caring for themselves. The dogs are now also a huge part of it. They use intimidation and scare the other animals into doing whatever they want them to do like a real dictator. My last example is snowball turning his back on the rest of the animals and trying to save himself. In the future in the book I see the separation and control of the animals getting much, much worse.
I think this review was very helpful. It made me really think about all the details of every question. Also i learned things that i hadn't noticed when other groups spoke. Totalitarianism is progressing on the farm in many ways. Napoleon is taking charge. Everyone is afraid of him because they don't know what will happen. Also, Napoleon is deciding everything on the farm. Lastly, a lot of the food goes to the pigs and not the rest of the animals. I predict that Napoleons power will keep getting stronger and stronger towards the end of the story. But eventually the other animals will protest against him and get what they want.
I feel like the review game helped me a lot. The game got me to realize other peoples points of mind. I learned what some items ment, those in which I thought didn't matter. One example is that Napoleon had the dogs that were like his little army because they sacred the other animals into believeing what he did. Another example is how only the pigs were leaders and they were ranked the others were not. Another example is that the pigs don't work they just tell the other animals what to do at all times. I think that in the end all of the animals besides the pigs are going to get very angry. They are also going to revolt and manor is going get the farm back.
I thought that the review was very effective. It help me think about how the Russian Revolution was through the way that the book is set up. The progress of Totalitarianism is set up with the pigs. this is more representing totalitarianism now because napoleon i think or squealer are taking control of everybody. they said that any questions or problems go through them and they decide what happens. Another example is how the higher-ups, the pigs, are getting better food and don't have to work hard for it. A third reason is the animals are starting to revolt which is usually how all dictatorships end in. lso, changing how things are done based upon how he thinks they should be done. I have a feeling this wotn work out, and the animals will go against the pigs or rebel again.
I enjoyed the review for chapters 3 and 4. It was very effective and helped me a lot in the discussion today. The discussion was helpful because i got to see my clasemates point of view and their take on certain subjects that maybe i wouldn't think of. Totalitarianism is progressing in this book because the power of the pigs is progressing. However, I can see the other animals progressing in totalitarianism because i feel that they are going to revolt soon against the pigs. I would revolt if i were the other animals. I am starting to see the book relate more and more to the soviets as it progresses.
Yes, I think that this method of review was very helpful. Even if a team did get the main concept right, it helped when other people would add on. I learned a lot more from my classmates than I did from reading. Totalitarianism is shown by the way that Napoleon takes away the young pups from their mother and takes them and schools them. Also it is portrayed when sunday meetings now have strict rules and an order that people have to be in. Lastly the commandments are a sign of totalitarianism because it is telling people what to do and no one besides the pigs got a say in what they were. I envision that the farm will become a dictatorship and everyone will leave the farm until no one is left but Napoleon himself.
I dont believe the review helped much. I think this because most of the people answering were the same over and over usually 2 people from a group. I did learn something from classmates but not much. one example is when nepolian and squealer over rule everyone. Another is When they from the commitee of pigs. Another would be when they say no more dictating. My predictions will be squeller becomes rule or they split the farm in half.
I feel as though the review game helped a bit but it wasn't all that effective. I think I learned one or two new things from my classmates that I didn't pick up in the reading but not to many things. Some examples of how totalitarianism is progressing is when the milk suddenly disappears but no one knows where it went until they found out it was being mixed into the pigs mash. A second example would be when the pigs took the apples and then told the other animals that they needed them to be healthy pigs. A final example would be when the pigs took control in the first place by saying they would make all of the decisions instead of anyone else. I think that the pigs will end up having full control of the farm in the end.
I thought that the review was extremely effective. I think that all of the different perspectives it gave on what’s happening in animal farm helped. In the book totalitarism is shown by the pigs and there control over the farm. They can do anything they want from taking all the apples and milk to making or altering the rules. The pigs abuse their power over the rest of the animals by using there intelligence to outsmart the other animals
