Day 2

Make a list of all the changes that have occurred on the farm. Describe how these changes create vivid evidence of the pigs' increasing power. How is this allegory that you are reading comparable to world events of the past or present? Why is a totalitarianism government successful or unsuccessful?

The first thing that the pigs changed was the name of the farm, they changed if from manor farm to animal farm. This shows power because it shows that they are leaders since they can read and write. Another example of this is that they wrote the commandments on the barn. They also made all the rules with is a giant sign of power. If they don't follow the rules they won't be on the farm anymore. This relates to Hitler a lot. He told the Nazis what to do and how to do it. He barely ever did anything himself. I think that totalitarianism governemnt is a bad choice. I think this because there aren't as many ideas and thoughts in that.

The pigs were the first to take control of the farm. They knew how to spell, so they teach everyone else their ways. This shows power because the pigs can teach the others everything they know and everyone will be the same. Everyone follows the pigs as if they were their leaders. If the commandment that the pigs made were broken, they wont be able to live on the farm anymore. Another situation just like this is school. Everyone needs to follow what the teacher does and follow the rules. If they fail to imply, they will be kicked out. All in all, I believe that totalitarianism is not a proper way to run things. I believe that people should follow whatever they want to do and do the best they can in life to meet their own expectations.

The farm is under the pigs control. Everything they do is either the pigs idea or it benifits the pigs. The pigs are slowly becoing dictators. They are taking over like the Czar took over Russia. Totalitarianism is unsuccessful because eventually the others feel oppressed. The others feel that the government is no longer fair. The others are eventually going to rebel.

The first change that has happened on the farm is the passing of Old Major. When Major dies the other pigs, Snowball, Napoleon, and Squealer, automatically take charge of the farm. This shows the increases the pigs power because instead of taking a majority vote on who should lead the pigs automatically choose themselves. At first, Animal Farm prospers. Snowball works at teaching the animals to read, and Napoleon takes a group of young puppies to educate them in the principles of Animalism. When Mr. Jones reappears to take back his farm, the animals defeat him again, in what comes to be known as the Battle of the Cowshed, and take the farmer’s abandoned gun as a token of their victory. As time passes, however, Napoleon and Snowball increasingly quibble over the future of the farm, and they begin to struggle with each other for power and influence among the other animals. Snowball concocts a scheme to build an electricity-generating windmill, but Napoleon solidly opposes the plan. At the meeting to vote on whether to take up the project, Snowball gives a passionate speech. Although Napoleon gives only a brief retort, he then makes a strange noise, and nine attack dogs—the puppies that Napoleon had confiscated in order to “educate”—burst into the barn and chase Snowball from the farm. Napoleon assumes leadership of Animal Farm and declares that there will be no more meetings. From that point on, he asserts, the pigs alone will make all of the decisions—for the good of every animal.

The first change to the farm was changing the name. This was a big thing for the animals because it showed the switch of power from humans to animals. Another change was writing out the laws of the farm. These were written by the pigs who turn out to be very smart and good leaders. It is comparable to the revolt in Russia led by the Bolsheviks due to lack of food. The animals wanted to revolt because of the poor treatment and bad food. Totalitarianism is unsuccesful because it leaves the people very unhappy with a government that is too powerful.

The very first thing the animals did on the farm was change the name to animal farm showing they were in charge. This shows there power because they now run the farm on their own. They made like there own commandments about the farm. This shows their power cause it keeps all the animals in line with their rules.World events are comparable to this because its like every new president we have we want a little change from the last which is why all the animals liked being in charge. Its also like republican and democratic parties the humans werent what the animals wanted so when the animals took charge everyone was happy cause its like their own party was in charge for once. Totalitarianism is unsuccessful because it doesnt allow people to have personal freedom.

Lots of changes have been made on the farm so far. The most drastic is comrade Napolean chasing Snowball out of power. Since then the pigs have recieved special treatment, larger rations, no labor time, ripe apples, and undeserving respect from the rest of the comrades on Animal Farm. All of the changes that have been made only directly benefit the pigs showing their abuse of power. This allegory can be compared to other abuses of power like Hitler or the Czars. A tolitarianism government is unsuccessful because anyone who makes themself a dictator wants power, and control. With those comes greed and manipulation. Its impossible for a successful government to run off of those characteristics because no one is ever happy.

Many things on the farm changed. For starters, the name of the farm was changed immediately. And next, the commandments were added, however they don't seem to be meeting up to their expectations. The pigs made the commandments saying that everyone was to be equal and no one would be better then anyone else. It is funny because now they are getting too comfortable with their power and taking advantage of it. It is just like a totalitarian government which is going to end up not being successful. The rest of the animals will soon realize what is happening and rebell.

The changes that have been made are they took over the farm. Then the animals renamed the farm to "Animal Farm." Napolean also kicked Snowball off the farm. He made changes such as no more meetings and that a special pig committee will make all the decisions. These changes shows the pigs increasing power because there the only ones that can read and write so they think there smarter. Since they think their smarter, they think they have more power then everyone else. This relates to world events because some leaders take power like the pigs do. All presidents are the ones that make the decisions for our country. Totalitarinism is a bad idea because anyone who becomes leader wants to take control.

At first the pigs were just guidence, and didnt hold mutch power over the animals. then they started organizing the animals thus gaining some power over them. then they started taking the things they wasn't, like special treatment. then they were creating rules, and acting as a government. and now the animals have no say of what is to happen to them and Napoleon makes all the decisions and if someone disagrees with him there gana get hert. its comparable of cors, to the soviet union and the fall of the czars. but also to some of the stuff happening over there in the middle east. they can be successful if there is a good leader. but often they are greedy, and the people become unhappy and it isint good.

-The pigs are schooling the other animals since they can read and write
-The pigs changed the name of the farm
-The pigs came up with the commandments and wrote them on the barn

All of these things show power because in every change that has occured, the pigs were in charge. This is like the soviets making decisions for the people before they became in charge. Even in America, this relates to our government. The people barley have a say in what goes on anymore, and ever since the depression we know that we can;t trust our government anymore.

The farm changed by
- The animals changed the farm name.
- The pigs took control.
- The pigs made rules.
- Animals working for their supply's.
- the pigs are becoming over-ruling the barn like a dictator.

The pigs are increasingly gaining power corrupting them into dictators. this is an excellent example of the czars in Russia. totalitarianism government is a very unsuccessful gov. because of how the people are so unhappy

The first thing that was changed on the farm was the name, and they named it Animal Farm. Also, they now have a set of laws and if you break them, you are out of the farm. The pigs have decided all of this and so it shows their increasing power. This allegory is comparable to world events because this is what Hitler did in Nazi Germany. He took control of everyone and told them what they could and could not do. A totalitarianism government is not successful because not everyone has a say in it and when people don't get a say in decisions, they argue and fights occur. Animal Farm is becoming a totalitarianism government and it's not looking too good.

The first thing that changed on the farm is that there are no humans. The animals took complete control of it. The name of the farm changed to Animal Farm. This is evidence of the pigs increasing power because they are the ones that made the revolution. they are the ones that wrote the name Animal Farm over Manor Farm. This allegory is comparble to the Russian Revoultion. Totalitaranism is unsuccessful because the other people start to feel unwanted....

The changes that have occured on the farm are, leadrership, The name of the farm, and how quickly the pigs took over. The change of leadership shows that the pigs' power has increased because it shows that they easily changed everything and contolled a lot of things like that man did, what they ate, what education, and what they did. They also had the pwer to completely change the name of the farm, and that shows a great amount of power over the other animals. The pigs' took over so quickly, it semed within minutes after Major died, they just took over with out thinking. I think that totaliltarism governtment is going to be unsuccessful in the long run, i think this because they will realize that it is the same as the man but just one of their kind is controlling them, having complete controll over someone or a group, will never turn out good.

1. The pigs changed the name of the farm.
2. Set up the commandments.
3. The animals are in charge.
This all plays into how the pigs' power is increasing. Because of the fact that the pigs can read and write, they are controlling eveyrhting that goes on on the farm. This allegory obviously plays into the past with the Russian Revolution. It seems that totalitarianism would be unsuccessful, it would leave the people unsatisfied with their government.

the changes that have arrived so farwith the pigs in power have took in my oppinion a negative position on the others. like the pigs get everything like the milk the cows give the pigs get and none else. the pigs give all the rules out and the animals get nothi but to follow them, cuz if they dont they get kicked off the farm. i think the pigs plans are unsuccessfull in my oppnon cuz no animal is equal.

There have been a ton of changes on the farm. The first thing the pigs did was to change the name to animal farm. This shows power by creating their own name without asking the rest of the animals. The second thing would be to steal the apples and milk from the rest of the animals. This shows power by controlling what others receive. This can compare to Hitler because Hitler really didnt do anything to help himself. He had his people do everything for him. I think totalitarianism is a bad idea. This is because the common people do not get a stand in what happens in their country.

The first thing the pigs did is change the name of the farm to animal farm. They are smarter and more supirior because they can read and write. They teach the other how to read and wtire. They are teachers and everyone should follow them and this is a sign of dictating. If others fail to follow they will be kicked off the farm. I believe totalitarianism is a very bad choice of government. No one can really voice there opinion and get what they want its always what someone else wants.

One of the things that changed was that Major died and the other pigs took control. This shows that they had the power from the very start like a king does because they were born into it instead of having other people choose to have their leaders. Another example was when they wrote the commandments. This shows their power over the other animals because none of them have any say in what the rules will be but they just go with it. I think that a Totalitarian government is never successful because the leaders gain too much power until they eventually become like dictators and have absolute control over the people and the government much like Napoleon.

On the farm the first major event is the death of Major, this is also one of the biggest events because it leads to the pigs rise to power. After Major dies and the pigs take control many changes take place. At first on animal farm Therese a balance of power between Napoleon and Snowball. Over time however this balance fails and Napoleon takes over completely. Napoleon taking over the farm is like when Czar took over Russia. Napoleon begins to act more and more dictator like. He even has his dogs which are basically the animal farm equal to the secret police.
