For this evening:
Discuss the relationship between Abigail and John Proctor. What did we learn about them today? (Just a one or two line summary not a long summary)How could this effect the role Abigail is playing with the other girls who were in the woods? Would people have the same reaction today about Abigail's behavior? Why or why not? Lastly, what is your view of the characters so far and why?

The relationship between Abigail and John Proctor is a fadding one. These two used to be having an afiar but the wife found out and threatened them and now they don't see each other any more. Abigail wants the relationship to progess in a better fasion but John does not. This is one of the main reasons why the girls where in the forest. The story says that they were trying to brew up a potion to kill Goody Proctor. This would be good for Abigail because she wants John to be single so they can get back together. I think now a days there would be a bigger reaction to what she did if it was in a small town like that. Normally in small towns if someone did something like that they would get kicked out and have to go live somewhere else. So far Parris only cares about himself. Besides Abigail and John's afair most of the other people in the story are nice and friendly.
We learned today that Abigal and John Procter used to be an "item." It sounds like John Procter cheated on his wife with Abigail. John obviously wants to forget about the whole situation but Abigail still wants to know that there is still something there. This shows why Abigail was in the woods in the first place. She was drinking blood for a potion to kill Goody Procter. We can infer that she wanted to do this so John Procter would be single and want to be with Abigail, not Goody. I think that nowadays she would get in trouble for trying to do whichcraft to kill someone, but people wouldn't get all worked up just because it's which craft. They would get worked up because she's trying to commit murder. My view of the characters is that Parris just wants to keep his name clean, Abigail is evil, John Procter wants Abigail to disappear so it would make the whole situation easier. The rest, such as the girls in the woods knew they did something wrong but they are playing sick so they won't get blaimed for.
The relationship between Abigail and John Proctor is an uncertain one. Abigail says they had an affair and claims John loves her where John states it is untrue. After Goody Proctor finds out about the affair she tells John to put an end to it. This effects the girls in the woods because the main reason they were in the woods was to try to get rid of Goody Proctor. People would not have the same reaction today because affairs happen more often and people dont care about their reputation as much. My view of John is that he knows what he did was wrong and knows it was the right thing to end it. The view of Abigail well i think shes a slut and has no reason to dislike Goody Proctor.
The relationship between Abigail and John Proctor is different than most. While John is married he has an affair with Abigail. John's wife Goody ends up finding out about this affair and makes him end it. John broke things off with Abigail and moved on, but Abigail has another plan in mind. She still has not gotten over him. That is why they were in the woods, or atleast one of the reasons. Abigail is trying to make a plan to kill Goody Proctor, John Proctors wife, so that they can live a happy life together without her in the way. This may effect the other girls in the woods because they might not know what they are becoming a part of. I think that today people would have a similar reaction, but i don't think many now-a-days would go to the extent of killing somebody.
in the crucible they have been breaking commandments that there town live by, but don't even recognize it due to the fact they think there are witch. Abigail and John Proctor have somewhat of a relationship due to the fact that they have to keep one secret. The secret is that John Proctor actually cheated on his wife for Abigail. this could jeopardize Abigail because if people knew then they would assume the worst, Witch because everyone knows witches get what they want. yes people would freak out a good example about people freaking out over cheating is tiger woods this is a good example why people freak out in modern day society. my views on all of the characters so far are CRAZY the reason i say this is because they think there are witches, if they accused me of being a witch i would say i am, the reason is because they would do anything i say because of fear.
The relathionship between John Procter and Abigail is that they had in affer. Today we learned that John Procter and Abigail had an affiar and that John has moved on but Abigail had not and that she does not like Goody Procter. The role this could play is that while Abigail is busy flerting with John Procter that one of the other girls could tell what they really did in the woods. My view of Abigail is that she is a liar and kind of childish because she lies about what happens in the woods. Revon Parriss is self absovebed because every time some one brings up the promblem at hand he talks about himself. Goody Procter is disliked because she has a bad attied towards other people. The rest of the people seam ok and frendly.
The relationship between Abigail and John Proctor is disappearing quickly. Apparently they used to have a relationship and died down when Goody Proctor found out about it. We found out that John still loves Abby, but doesn't show it. He believes that Reverend Hale is coming to look for devils. This love that she has for John says that she is not so tough around him. People would have the same reaction today because people are hearing this kind of stuff these days. The Characters thus far are changing their views toward each other. John Proctor and Reverend Parris are starting to "butt-heads" with each other. Things might not start to change but we'll wait and see.

The relationship between Abigail and John Proctor seems edgy and undetermind. The fling they had in the past seems to be undying. Abigail still has feelings for John, but John does not seem to want to persue her again. Because of this the girls were in the forest. The potion that was brewed for Goody Proctor was meant to murder. This would be good for Abigail for the reason that she wants John single so she can get with him again. These days, the reaction to all this would be more wide spread for the fact that we have the internet today and television. This small puritin town just has word of mouth. The other characters in this story seem to be polite and poised.
John Proctor and Abigail have an unresolved relationship in my opinion. They used to have an affiar tho Goody threatened the two thus causing them to break it up. Tho Jhon still holds feelings for Abigail, but due to the times when reputation was everything Jhon struggles to keep the relationship over and done with despite Abigail's...strong desires. As the technical 'ring leader' to this group of people that where out in the forest dancing. Abigail could benifit from making a potion to kill Goody because then she'd be free to do what she pleases with Jhon. If something like this where to happen i personally think it would be a big deal for maybe about three days, one day for the cops to handle everything, another day to wrap it up, and a final day for the news to bloat it out of perportion. From what i've seen/read, so far in the story Parris is a narcissist, John is a sick b******, and abigail seems to be a twisted soul, oh! and bettys randomness seems really interesting!.
Abigail and John Proctor have an interesting relationship. Abigail loves John but John is married and has to hide his love for her. This could effect the role Abigail is playing with the other girls by making the girls scared. It also adds so much pressure to the girls to keep such a great secret. I do not think that people would have the same reaction because having affairs is more common these days. Back then they were very focused on their religion and in our time it is not as focused as it once was. So far, I think many thoughts about the characters. I think Parris is a selfish, know-it-all father who only cares about himself. Abigail is also a lieing, tortured soul because she had to watch her parents get killed. Betty is not too interesting so far because she doesn't say much. Proctor I think is trying to be a good man but sometimes he slips. I don't think Reverend Hale is that important so far because he just got introduced.
the relationship between john and abby is really nothing anymore. They did have an affair together but john broke it off because his wife found out. Abigal wants john but john doesn't want her anymore. John's wife is goody proctor and abby wants her dead, her and her friends go to the woods to make a mixture to get her. People today i think would blow it off as some kids trying to have fun. Maybe from another perspective of making a bomb or some odd ritual. My veiw of the characters are, abby wants goody dead to get john paris is all about himself and the others are just nice. Also abby and john had an affair.
The relationship between Abigail and John Proctor used to be strong, but now it is nothing. We have found out that Abigail wants John back but John is trying to push her away. This is the reason why the girls were in the forest. Abigail was drinking a charm to kill Goody Proctor. Probably to try and get John back. I think today Abigails actions wouldnt be taken so seriuously because today in society people are not purely against witch like acts. There is not any laws against it or anything. The worst that could happen I think is that their would be some people that dislike what is going on. I dont think anything big would happen. My view on the characters is that Paris is self centered, Abigail is stubborn, and I dont really know about the others.
Abigail and John Proctor are having an affair. John Proctor's wife found out though and Abby went from working for them, to being thrown out. The role that Abby is playing is wrapped around the affair. She loves him and she's trying to kill his wife. Today, in an age where people are not as religious, they would not have the same reaction that she was doing witchcraft. They would think she is incredibly weird and would have no friends but they wouldn't think she's from the devil. Some of the characters in my opinion are just trying to get attention, like Betty. But the rest of them are all frustrated because they don't know the whole story and at the same time Abby is keeping everyone involved, quite.
It seems that Abigail had an affair with John proctor at one point. this means that john was cheating on his wife Goody procter. For this reason john no longer wants to have any relationship with Abigale but dose desire her and is fighting temptation. Abigale wants to stay together with john, And that was the reason she was in the woods. She was making a potion to kill his wife. This would let her and john be if his wife was dead. I don't think people would care that much if they found out that she was trying to kill someone with witchcraft. they would probably just laff at her and think she is crazy. I don't like any of them so far, they all seem like religious nuts but i guess its not there fault. Also i don't like how there all out to get each other, not very nice people haha.
John proctor and abigail had a very complicated relationship. To me, it seems like John proctor had an affair with Abigail, which led to the firing of abigail from the maid at the proctors house. This could effect abigail being in the woods because abigail was cooking up a potion to kill goody proctor. She was probably doing this because with goody proctor out of the way, she could have mr proctor all to herself. If Abigail would do that today, people would have called her crazy and moved on. People today don't take witchcraft that seriously. My views on the characters are that Abigail is a flirter, Paris is only concerned about himself, and Rebecca is trying to keep peace. I can't wait to read the rest of the act.
the realation ship is between jhon and abigail is past love. we learned today that john has cheated on his wife with this girl. that is probly why she got fired. the role of abigail could have been affected by lust to have john and that would change opions of who she wanted to curse. no i think abilails behavior would still have the same reaction. because there is always afairs going on. still paris only cares about himself giles will sew ne1 who gose against him and john still likes abigail
