I think abligal effects john proctor and elizebeth proctor. I think elizebeth because abligal has an affair with john and it effects elizebeths and johns marriage.Elizebeth gets really mad when john confesses that he cheated one her. I think abligal effects john proctor because she new that he was marryed. But yet she still had an affair with him. She could of walked away and not did anything with him but she didnt. I think that she renewed there marriage because she wanted to be with john proctor.

In the court abigail was acusing people of being witches. I think abigail is not a very honest person. she lies about others being witches. Abigail has an effect on john proctor and elizabeth proctor. At the begining you find out that john had an afair with abigail. She knew he was maried but she still tried to get john all to herself. she drank chicken blood to put a charm on goody proctor so she could have john all to herself. Which im sure efected elizabeth proctor.

Marry Warren was bored during the court hearing. She was so bored that she made a poppet. After the hearing she gave the poppet to Elizabeth Proctor. When she gives the poppet to Goody Proctor she tells them what has happened in court. John Proctor yells at Marry Warren because she is not allowed to go into town with out his permission. She tells him that she works for the court and told him that his wife was condemned a witch. Abigale is a self centered person who will do anything to keep her reputation clean. Her self centerness is proven by accusing both Rebbecca Nurse and the wife of Giles.

Mr. Kay,

I believe that Abigal is a very think to quickly type of person. Two chararcters that she has effected while in the play have be John Proctor and Elizebeth Proctor. In act 2, Elizebeth and John were talking about how she (Elizebeth)knew what John had been doing with Abigail. John tried to tell Elizebeth that he wants nothing to do with Abigail anymore. He told Elizebeth that he blushes with fury at Abigail for what he has been so wrong to do. Elizebeth tries to tell John that maybe Abigail was taking the blushing of his face in a whole different way. She tells John that Abigail only believe's what she wants to believe. Abigail is a think to quickly type of person. She doesn't want to believe anything she doesn't want to hear. Abigail is trying to get Elizebeth out of the picture so she can have John all to herself, and both Elizebeth and John know it.

There were over thirty people accused of being witches in court in Act 2. Goody Osborn was sentenced to be hung, but Sarah Good did not, because she confessed. Elizabeth Proctor was accused, but Mary Warren told the court that Elizabeth had never used witchcraft. Abigail has an intense dislike for Elizabeth, so she planned to get her accused. She forced Mary Warren to give Elizabeth the poppet and set a scene where it looked as if Elizabeth was the cause of Abigail's pain from the needle. If she did not, Abigail would kill Mary. Elizabeth wishes for John to tell the court that Abigail is guilty, but he cares too much of her to hurt her. Hale came to the Proctor's home to Elizabeth to see if she was involved with witchcraft. Elizabeth was convicted and taken away. When Proctor then decides that he should tell, Abigail is one step ahead of him. Mary told Proctor that if he tells, Abigail will tell the whole town about their affair.

I think Abigail's character in the play, is dishonest and coniving. The people that Abigail has effected the most would have to be John Proctor and Elizabeth. The reason why she has effected John Proctor is because she potensially ruined his marriage with his wife, by having an affair with him. She has effected Elizabeth by accusing her of being a witch. And also drank chicken blood to put a charm on Elizabeth, so she could take her place as a wife to John Proctor. In court Abigail was accusing others of witchcraft, as well as others too. Also, Elizabeth trys to protect herself, and pleaded that she isnt a witch.

Anonymous said...

To me, Abigail's actions effect John Proctor and Goody Proctor. Mainly because ever since she confessed about using witchcraft, everybodys' been all hyped up about witches and trying to find all of them. So Hale goes to John's and Elizabeth's house and pretty much tries to find out if they're witches. So if Abigail had kept her big mouth shut John and his wife wouldn't have had to go through that. Also, since Abigail had an affair with John, Elizabeth acts funny whenever Abigail is mentioned. She starts to argue with John and asking him questions about wether he's been doing anything with Abigail. So Abigail pretty much ruined their marriage.

In the court room Abigail blamed Goody Proctor of being a witch. This wasn't too surprising because we all know that Abigail wants Good Proctor dead so she can have John. Abigail as a whole is just not a nice person. She doesn't care if she hurts Good Proctor or their marriage. She had an affair with John but still doesn't have any remorse. One person Abigail has effected is Goody Proctor. She has made her not be able to trust her own husband and has made their marriage kind of bad. Another person she has effected is John Proctor. She has made him into a cheater and a liar. Because, he cheated on Goody Proctor and then he lied about being in town when he was.

During court Abligal, Elizabeth and John Proctor, and Mary Warren were there. It is about Abligal being accused of being a witch and killing Goody Proctor. I guess during the trial Mary Warren was making a puppet because she was bored. Also Francis was at the trial I guess who took care of Goody Proctor. Ezekiel Cheever is their because he is a clerk at the court and he tells Proctor whats going on. The two characters that I think Abigail effected the most are John because they were having affair. Also Elizabeth because she is married to John.

In the story there is a court hearing that is being held becasue of people being accused of witchcraft. During the court hearing Mary makes a poppet and leaves a needle in it. Abigail told Mary to give the poppet to Elizabeth so that people will think that Elizabeth hurt Abigail. Abigail was mad that Elizabeth didnt caught with witchcraft so thats why she set her up. In that case I think Abigail effects the Proctor's the most. She has an affair with John and that affects him becasue he know he is doing something wrong. She effects Elizabeth becasue she tries to set her up and cheats on her husband. All in all Abigail is just to get people in trouble and she is worried about herself to much.

Abby does not fully comprehend what's going on I think. In my opinion if she knew death was a sentence she most likely would have stopped(if she wouldn't she would have been the biggest wench on earth). This whole "ZOMG SHE/HE IS A WITCH!!!" is just plain ridiculous. She gave the names of Elizabeth and Tituba. And Tituba gave the title to Sarah good. In my opinion this is really gotten out of hand of a simple, vain but malicious attempt to create a charm, raise the dead and so forth. All who were involved should have been forced to do community service. Instead Abby tried to cover her own tail, and then that led to Tituba covering her own tail, and all this makes "the devil" very convincing.

Mary Warren had reported that 39 people were accused of witchcraft. Even Elizabeth Proctor was accused of witchcraft. Goddy Osborn has been sentenced to death by hanging. However, Sarah Good was on the chopping block but she confessed to witchcraft so she was ok. Abigail mainly effected Elizabeth Proctor. It's easy to know why she did. She wants to be with John and she had Mary Warren give Elizabeth the poppet with the needle to screw her over. She also effected Mary Warren. This is because now Mary Warren has to testify or stay on Abigail's side or else Abigail will kill her. It's a lose, lose situation for Mary and she has no other choices.

In my opinion there were a couple main things that happened in the court. First of all 30 plus people were accused of being witches. One of which was Sarah Good, but she didn't have anything happen to her because she addimited it. However Goody Osborn was also part of this and she got a sentence of being hung. Now last one was Elizebeth who didn't havee anything happen because Mary Warren said she did nothing and everyone believed her. First of all Abigail is basically a down right mean, dishonest and dirty person. Now Abigail has really messed up John Proctor's life for a couple reasons. First of all she had an affair with him that makes him choose not to go to church because ahe is there. Another person is Elizebeth but in a way that she doesn't know. That is she drank a charm thing to kill her so she could have John Proctor.

During the course of his Act what took place is that Mary Warren reported 39 women were accused of witchcraft. Also she gave Goody Proctor a poppet with a needle in it, to frame her. This was Abigail's doing, obviously because she wants to be with John. Abigail i believe has effected Goody Proctor and John the most. The reason being she tried to kill Elizabeth, as well as frame her. When she hasn't done anything wrong, her only crime would be marrying a man that she thought she loved and maybe still does. Abigail is just being selfish because she wants John and he will not go for her because of his wife. As for John she effected him by she knew that he was married, and yet she still tried to get at him. In which, it put hon in a uncomfortable situation because he still wants to be with his wife, as well as want something new and exciting.

Mr. Kay,
The court room is a very important scene. Lots of accusations or discussed and John finds out how backwards the legal system is in the town. He realizes the people who won't admit to witchcraft are the ones being hung, while the people who say, "Yeah I am a Witch" are let off the hook. It is all messed up. It is like if I said I murdered someone and their like, Whatever, then they accuse someone and convict him. It makes no sense and John Procter seems like the only smart one to realize and say something about it. To be honest, I think it is sort of eerie because if I was in that situation, I would be really afraid to say I am a witch because I would be afraid of the hanging me, so I would try and clear my name but then it turns out they think I am lying and want to hang me anyways. It is pretty weird to me. Now with Abigail. She is a psycho. She just keeps accusing people she doesn't like just kill them pretty much. It seems like a perfect plan. Accuse those you don't like, they're gone. The two main people she has effected is the Procters. I know almost everyone has said that already, but it is the truth. She has accused many others and affect their lives as well, but the Procter are the main people. John Procter is of coarse forever scarred by the infidelity with Abigail that he is so remorseful for. Elizabeth Procter is the main person Abigail hates and wants to sabotage and probably ultimately kill. That's why Abigail is accusing her after all. Well to sum it up, the legal system is backwards and Abigail is crazy.

The events that took place in court were all 39 people were accused of being witches. Goody Osborn was charged of witch craft and sentenced to death. While Goody was in deep trouble, Sarah Good admitted to witch craft which saved Goody. Somehow Marry Warren talked Elizabeth out of her sentence and saved her. Abigail was the one who drank the potion to kill Elizabeth simply because she wanted to be with John. She scared Elizabeth a little bit because she never did anything to her. She caused John emotional stress.

Court was all about acusing people as witches in Act 2. Abigail effects John Proctor and Elizabeth Proctor the most. Abigail Basicly put the Proctors relationship at risk. After Elizabeth found out the two had an affair she was not happy. Abigail seems to care about herself only. She is a person who would kill everyone else to live how she wants. Abigail is un honored very disrespectfull and deserves death. The way she finds scapegoats and tries to kill people effects a lot more than the Procors.

Abigail is a self centered person that thinks about herself. She has made choices that effect other people negatively. Shes effected john proctor by having a affair with him. She has effected other girls by influencing them to do witchcraft. She also has effected tituba in the story by blaming it all on her. She has also effected proctor because she called her into trial in court. So she has put everyone in front of her for her own personal gain.

In the court many events happened including 36 people being charged with witchcraft. This is many more than Tiubia and Abligal named off so thsi to me is a unknowen. They moved court officials to the town from Boston beacause of the cases of witchcraft. Mary Warren was she said a offical at the court. John did not want her going to the court and threated her. Abigail is a very bad person for giving others name including Elizebeth. Abigail thinks that if Elizebeth gets hanged for witchcraft then she can be married to John. Abigail effected Elizebeth and John by her actions.

In court people were tried as witches. 14 people in the town of Salem. John Proctor to Mary Warren not to go to the rest of the trial. Abigail effected John and Elizabeth. She accused Elizibeth of witchery. She also stabbed her self and convinced Mary Warren to make a paper doll. With a needle in the stomach. Then she told Mary Warren to give it to Goody Proctor. So basically Abby framed Goody Proctor. So she will be hung. Also she can have John.

((Can I do a free blog because I was on the field trip today? That's a "NO.", right?))

From what I recall, Act 2 included Elizabeth confronting John, Rev.Hale 'confronting' Elizabeth, Mary Warren being accused, and Abigale being the cause of it all. It seems that all of this 'witchcraft' is Abigale's 'clever' idea of revenge over Elizabeth for firing her and 'taking her man'. Seeing as how she got the other girls into the mess, the girls, like Mary Warren, may soon crack under pressure. The poppet Mary had 'made' during the trials, was what I think, purely innocent. Abigale may have been watching, yes, and when she saw where Mary had inserted the needle for safe keeping, she stuck into herself as revenge to get Mary accused.

Am I reading too far ahead? :3

Abigail accuses people of being witches in court. She names off names and then they send the people off to jail in order to appear in court. Abigal have then affected every person she names off. Plus there are also the family of the victums that are affected. John Proctor is affected very much by all this. He has to try to get his wife out of jail and defend her. He probually also feels guilty since he had a lot to do with this. He is also basically the reason for his wife being accused accused. Elizabeth Proctor was even more affected. She did absolutly nothing wrong and is basically taking the fall for her husband's actions. She may be killed because of all this. However, I think that because of this the Proctors may become closer.

Elizabeth proctor was mentioned in court. I think this was because Abigail had mentioned her name. The two people effected the most by Abigail i think would be Elizabeth and John Proctor. John because they had an affair together and he is trying to stay loyal to his wife. Also Elizabeth because her whole life is being run by abigail.

Mary Warren made a doll for elizabeth in court and stuck a needle in it. Then abigail stuck a needle in her stomach and blamed it on elizabeth. Abigail isn't a very nice person. She has been accusing innocent people of being witches. It kind of sucks for them. Two people she has affected are rebecca and elizabeth. Everyone knows that rebecca is a christian woman and helps people but Abigail still accused her adn she would up in jail. Elizabeth was innocent too and also got sent to jail which affects Proctor because its his wife. Abigail has affected many more people than that though, like more than 30.

She was sentenced to death by hanging for taking part in witchcraft. Abigail basically hates Elizabeth Proctor for obvious reasons. She wants Elizabeth our of the picture so that John is all to herself. In the courtroom, Abigail forced Mary Warren to give the poppet to Elizabeth. With this poppet, she forced her to make a scene as though she was inflicting pain on Abigail. With this being done, she basically screwed over Elizabeth. I think Abigail has affected John and Elizabeth's life the most. She's been trying to split them up and even has tried to kill Elizabeth.

Goody Osborn kept saying she wasn't a witch so they decided to hang her.Goody Good, a poor old homeless women, confessed and was sent to jail. she seems to be pregnant so they will wait until she gives birth because they don't want to kill the unborn child.
Abigail has caused a lot of trouble in the villlage of Salem. she is a very selfish girl. all she cares about is having John and has made all of these witchcraft problems over it.since John Proctor and her have had an affair Goody Proctor is always very edgy. john tries to be as nice as he can to try to make up for what he did.

Kaleigh S said...

In court, the girls would call out random people's names and accuse them of being witches. They tried to prove the accused guilty by screaming and yelling and saying they were trying to choke them or make them do something. The girls had something to prove every person guilty. If a person did not admit to witchcraft, they were sentenced to hang, such as Goody Osburn. Anyone who admitted to witchcraft was sent to jail, but not death. Abigail greatly influences other characters throughout the story. In the first act, she blames Tituba for influencing the girls with the devil. This is what causes Tituba to admit to witchcraft, because she would have been hung if she had not. Abigail influences Elizabeth's life as well. Elizabeth might not have been arrested if Abigail had not called her name in court and made her plan with Marry Warren. The poppet doll that Marry gave to Elizabeth got her arrested because Abigail stuck a needle in herself and the doll. This is also affecting Mary too because she is being forced to do what Abigail tells her to or else she will give her some serious punishment.

But before that, Elizabeth is furious at John because he admits to cheating on her. i thnik that mary warrens details affected john proctor and elizabeth proctor. John proctor is damaged because he will try to get his wife out of her conviction, but if he says anything then Abigail will spill the beans to the town about their affair. What happened in the court was thirty-nine people are accused of being a witches. Mary Warren was in court all day. Sarah Good and Goody Osburn were sentenced for being a witch. Goody Osburn was sentenced to be hung and Sarah Good that admitted to it was sent to jail. Mary Warren could not believe that Sarah Good had tried to kill her with her spirit. Mary did not believe this at first. Then Sarah Good looked at her and she felt like she was suffocating. Mary remembered the time she had turned Sarah away after she asked for food. Sarah walked away mumbling. Then that day Mary’s stomach felt like it would burst for two days.

Abigail is a 17 year old girl known for disguising the truth. She had an affair with John Proctor. Her goal is to have him for herself. She will accuse anyone of witchcraft if they get in her way. She is scheming and conniving.

She has affected John in many ways. First she caused problems in his marriage. Second she got her heart broken when he said he didnt have feelings for her. The next person she affected was betty. She told parris about what betty had done. This dampered abby and bettys relationship.

Elizabeth Proctor was also accused of witcraft by Abigail. Therefore, Abigail has had an effect on her. This is becasue she wants to get rid of Mrs. Proctor so she can get closer to John Proctor. She threatened to kill Mary Warren if she didn't go through with the poppet "proof" to make it seem like Elizabeth was guilty. Elizabeth wants John to go tell the court the truth, but his feelings for Abigail get in the way. But, if he tells Abigail will speak to the town of their affari, which is a sin.

Abagail not only doing this to Elizabeth but also having a simple but stupid affair with john proctor. The other character that fell i the trap of anigail was rebbecca the nurse and giles's wife. Trying to get these two involved in the accusion of them being involved in witch kraft. It is obviously Abagails self centered ness to keep herself out of the conflict.

Generalizing the events that took place in court prove that claiming guilty is better then honesty. I highly doubt that someone signed the devils black book. People are admitting to crimes that they haven't done to receive a less harsh punishment. Abigail is very controlling. Che has to be in charge of every aspect of her life. whether it be her friends, lover, reputation or family, she'll lie to control everything. So when John Proctor ends their affair, she has to find a way back into control. So she frames Goody Proctor which will take her to the court. I believe the two people she has affected most are the Proctors. The two stand in her way of getting control over everything that she wants. Since

hey Mr.kay, just putting it out there that we did not receive the act 2 questions, because we didn't get them.

just pointing out the obvious.

anyways, as marry warren tells us, in detail, she goes into court, and accuses sarah good, the character which i read for, that she be a witch. i also found out that my character is a ditch sleeping, food beggar, who mumbles a lot, like any homeless person would. GREAT...
then marry also explains that she felt a sense that sarah was puting a spell on her at the trial, making her scream. although in the end, after marrys long day, and poppet making to pass the time, sarah pleads guilty to witchary (?) and is sentenced to jail.
as if what i just said wasnt any more frightening, we also learn that she is pregnant, and for a 60 year old women, im sure thats near impossible, and probably wont work out in the end. i will predict that she will have a stillborn, or will have the baby make her die, because she just cant be supporting of it. and we could all see clearly how abigal invoked others to be apart of it, and be with her or against her.

they shouldnt even hang her, because that would be to easy of a death for abigal. not going in to detail how badly and painfully she should die, but let me just say, that making people be put to death, doesnt deserve an easy death

When Mary Warren came back to the Proctors home John asked about the 12 people that were being accused, but Mary said there were now more than 30. Abigail is ruining these peoples lives and she doesn't care because she isn't in trouble. I think that the people of salem are scared of Abigail because she could just out of nowhere accuse you. Two people she is effecting are John and Elizabeth Proctor. Elizabeth pretty much knows about what happened between john and abigail. This has been stiring up fights between the two. All John wants right now is to make elizabeth happy. There is a lot of tension between the two. Abigail has been trying to get rid of elizabeth and trying to get back with john. I think Abigail from now on is going to get what she wants because she now has a sort of power over people.

I think abligal effects john proctor and elizebeth proctor. I think elizebeth because abligal has an affair with john and it effects elizebeths and johns marriage.Elizebeth gets really mad when john confesses that he cheated one her.John Proctor yells at Marry Warren because she is not allowed to go into town with out his permission. She tells him that she works for the court and told him that his wife was condemned a witch. Abigale is a self centered person who will do anything to keep her reputation clean.

Mr Kay, my internet went down again last night. I hope you dont count it as missing because i tried all night to get on the website. Its before noon so i hope its not a big deal...sorry

In court things got way out of proportion. It went from only being a couple people to 39 i think the text said. People were hung if they did not admit to witchcraft. I think that is ridiculous because why would someone admit to a crime they did not commit? I dont know. Abigail effected Elizabeth Proctor because of the affair. She had sex with her husband and changed thier marriage. She also effected Betty because none of this would of happened to her if Abigain would not have started all this crazyness. Now Betty will never be the same and is very sick. Over all Abigail effected everyone in the story becasue she started the chaos in Salem.

Well what basiclly happened was that everyone that was involved with witchcraft or knew someone that was involved in witchcraft were trialed. 14 people are in jail and if they don't say they were doing witchcraft then they will be killed. I think that Abigail is really sneaky and will do wat ever she has to do to get other people in jail and herself out. First she effected Elizibeth with the doll thing. I think Abigail knew that Mary made the doll and knew she would give it to Elizibeth. So Abigail put a needle in herself so then she could accuse Elizibeth of trying to kill her. She also effected John Proctor. As Elizibeth starts accussing Abigail of stuff John gets mad at Elizibeth and starts fighting with her. Then he told her to stop telling him wat to do and basiclly to mind her own business.

I think that Abigail affects the Proctors. John's life must be turning into a complete miserable mess because of this child. And then Elizebeth's isn't any better. She has been accused of witch craft and what not and bad things could happen to her. And then the great affair they had. That ruined the marriage as far as I'm concerned. If Abigail kept to herself the whole town would probably be just fine.
