Day 2

I hope to some degree that the grammar made some sense. We will continue, on Tuesdays, to review and learn new concepts. 5th hour- You need to really become responsible for notetaking but I guess I will have to demand that the notes be taken.

For today, we shall go with a current event. Remember, topic sentence and concluding sentence and NOT CITE, NO POINTS. You may not use sports or entertainment unless you can somehow connect it to world events.

Have a great night.

This blog shall not be a funny nor good story, it is unique because it will never happen again. Author John Updike, regarded as one of the greatest and most prolific writers in modern American letters, died Today, at the age of 76. He passed away this morning battling lung cancer. You'll probably never read any of his books, including "Rabbit, Run" (1960), "Couples" (1968), "The Witches of Eastwick" (1984) and "Terrorist" (2006) -- were also best-sellers. Updike won the Pulitzer Prize twice: for "Rabbit Is Rich" (1981) and its successor, "Rabbit at Rest" (1991). But all this affected thousands of people, how and when you interpret information is the most varying experience, from important to unsatisfying. That effects your mind and what your going to do next. "He was one of our greatest writers, and he will be sorely missed," said Nicholas Latimer, vice president of publicity at Updike's publisher, Alfred A. Knopf.

States could gain power over emissions standards
When Obama was elected president he said that there would be changes in America. One of those changes is allowing states to control the emmision standards. Global warming is becoming a problem and we have to do something about it. Obama is expected to reveal a emmisions policy on monday morning. This policy will limit the emmisions of greenhouse gases. Obama is also expected to get the transportatin department to get moving on rules for auto makers to improve the fuel economy. 13 other states have the permission to set standards by getting waivers under the clean air act. Obama has taken the first few steps to help out with global warming.

MR. Kay,

Football players nowadays are not properly protected in action. Mnay doctors say that the helmets are not protective onough of the user. Doctors have tested numerous athletes and the numbers shwo that there is significant damage to their brains. Although the players know this, they dont think that it will ever happen to them. When a man named Ted Johnson, has recently died from excessive brain damage from playing football. He played for the New England patriots, and now none of that matters. We need to keep our players safe and ake better helmets and protective devices.

I am going to be talking about an attorney wants Kwame Kilpatrick wants a judge to allow the former Detroit mayor to travel outside Michigan to look for work. Kilpartrick is expected to get out of jial on feb 3 but he wants to go outside of michigan before that to look for work. The hearing to decide if this is possible is wensday. I think he should be able to live and look for work and see his family under suppervision. Kilpatrick will be on probation for five years and must pay $1 million in restitution for what he did he has to pay. In this case It didnt matter if he was the major or not he has to pay for what he has done. I wonder if the judge will allow him to leave michigan and look for work.

On Jan. 26, 2009 Obama talked on an Arabic cable TV network, saying that when it came to Middle East matters "all too often the United States starts by dictating." I think that he means that the United States is too quick to judge, meaning that we automatically assume that they are in the wrong because of their ethnic background. He was trying to create peace between Israel and the Palestinians. "My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy." Obama meant that Americans are not all after Muslims. Also meaning were not trying to execute the religion. Obama urged the Muslims to judge him by his actions, pointing to the decision to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center. He was saying that they should trust him and that he means well. Thus my opinion.

I also think that using the song that was shown in the last video ever of Caylee is just wrong. I think that people should stop making things of Caylee. The truce in the Middle East is in jeopardy of ending. A soldier was killed along the border in Gaza today due to a bomb being set off by a Palestinian militant. The Israeli military said, "The bomb was a target of an Israel patrol." Another senseless killing. This killing could end the cease fire and start the fighting up again. I had hoped the violence would be placed on hold for longer while a longer-term peace agreement could be made. Egypt is trying to negotiate a longer peace treaty, which we all pray for. Prior to 1/17/09 there was a 3 week offensive that killed many people. The Israel military threatened that any violation of the cease fire would be means for retaliation. We all hope for a long term peace agreement and hopefully many more innocent lives will not be lost.

Mr. Kay,
I personally don't think the government is a very organized system. This can be proved due to many instances but this one really sticks out. A man named Chris Ogle, a New Zelander, visited a thrift store in Oklahoma when he visited America a year ago. He bought an mp3 player and now, when he tried to download a song off of it, he downloaded 60 top secret military files off of it. The files had names, phone numbers, and even social security numbers of people who are U.S. Soldiers. It also included mission briefings and weapon orders. I think this should be an embarrassment to the United States Government. To let sensitive secrets of our military get in the hands, easily, of a person who isn't even a citizen. The government doesn't really seem to care about what happens with their secrets. Think about if that got to someone during a war. The people we are having a war with could know secrets about what the military is going to do and they could even sabotage soldiers. The government has to know this threat, but this seems to keep happening. According to the video I got this from, this has happened before with a laptop and another time with computer hard drive in Afghanistan. I think that the government should be a bit more serious about what they do with their secrets. Maybe then they would be a bit more organized. Or at least a start.

President Barack Obama has plans for the auto industry to work towards a greener future. He has plans for the auto industry to make smaller cars and more hybrid and fuel efficient cars. Obama said that he and his new administration will issue new fuel efficiency requirement for the auot industry. Their goal is for the auto industry to boost efficiency to 35 miles per gallon by 2020. Leaders of the automotive industry are questioning the plan due to the faltering economy and the billions of dollars it will take to create the new greener cars. This will also lead to a significant raise in the prices of cars, $2,000 to $10,000 per car. However, environmental organizations that in the long run the fuel efficient cars will save money due to the decrease in the spending of gas. The information was based on an article in the Oakland Press.

This current event is about how Pontiac is closing nine schools. They are closing them because of money. Two of the high schools Central and Nrothern students are going to be asked to come up with a new combined name soon. The trustees voted to put the new high school at Northern and to close Central. They have a plan that they will keep nine schools and a preschool when school starts in the fall. They still have eight schools running. I feel bad for all the people at the high schools who have to switch.

The article im blogging about interested me because we still have more and more job lay offs. Alone in january there has been 210,000 lay offs. Thats not much compared to the world population but its still a lot of people put into poverty if they cant find another job. There is a glass and ceramic company that is laying off 3,500 people by the end of the year that is 13% of the entire workforce for that company. The reason is it will save them 150-200 million dollars. I would rather have people working and getting that money. With less people having less jobs means a lower economy because people don't have money to spend on things. I think thats part of the reason our economy is failing we are firing more people without money and prices for everything are still going up. If the economy is getting bad enough that chain store like target are even having to lay people off we need to do more to get the economy back up. On top of that lets say we lay off 200,000 people a month at minimum 1,200,000 people will be out of jobs in the next year. That will probably make getting a job for any of us students harder because every day theres less people with jobs and more trying to get one.

On monday night, there was a terrible accident, or wasnt it? In detroit, a 14 year old boy was shot in the chest. The article said that the boy and some friends were in his basement and were playing with a gun. But i dont understand why you just "play" with guns. Not only is it dangerous, but accidents can happen. With that said, the boy was supposidly shot by accident. But on the other hand, neither the boy or his family owned that gun. This meant that one of the teens brought the gun to the house. In the end, the boy lived, but is in critical condition. They are still trying to find the others boys because they ran off when the shooting took place. Hopefully, they will be able to close the case, and find the teens.

I think one of the main resons obama won the election was because he said he would bring jobs to the american people. In michigan i think this is something that hurts many families. I think that as long as the unemployment line is long, the recession will stay. This article is about how nation wide 10,000 job cuts were made today. I think that this is terrible because it is plunging our country into depression. I wonder what Obama will do to get people into jobs. I know hes been in office for only a week or so, but i think this goes along with one of the things the government needs to get a hold on quickly.

Mr. Kay,

Carbon monoxide leaks through a families broken furnace and was just minutes away from killing them. A family from Brandon Township awakened in the middle of the night saying that there was this aweful smell, like something was burning. The fire department recieved a call at around 5:50 am, the mother said that she woke up to a sickening burning smell and the symptoms as if they had the flu. The family was extremely lucky because carbon monoxide is an odorless, tasteless, and colorless gas. The fire department said that the family did not have a carbon monoxide detector in their house. The mother was lucky that she was woke up by the disturbing smell, the fire department said that if the family would have kept on sleeping that they probablly would have died just a few minutes later. For this family, the faulty furnace had an incomplete combustion that produced a disturbing burning smell that woke up the mother and her two children. This goes to show that every houshold needs a carbon monoxide detector to protect families from harmful gases. Carbon monoxide is also called the silent killer because it is tasteless, odorless, and colorless. This information was found in the Oakland Press.

I was just watching on CNN that a New Zealand man named Chris Ogle bought an MP3 Player at a pawn shop that contained secret military files. It said that he plugged it into his computer to download songs and instead he discovered confidential U.S. Military files. It says that he bought it for $9. I think its rediculous that this happened. What if that got into the wrong hands? Luckily it didn't, but what if it somehomw got into the enemies hands. It also states that the files contained information such as the addresses, phone #'s, social security #'s, and names of hundreds of soldiers. First of all, why would someone be allowed to download confidential files onto an MP3 player. This makes no sense at all. Second of all, why would someone sell it to someone before deleting all of the files? I think the U.S. needs to do a better job securing confidential information to prevent chaos in the future.

The current event that I chose was Pontiac closing nine schools. As of Monday night Central and Northern high school students will combine schools under a restructuring plan that will downsize the district to half of its schools beginning in the Fall. They had to reduce operating costs for buidings and prevent a projected deficit that has now grown from 10 to 12 million dollars. The schools still remaining open, besides Northern, are Madison Middle School on the Northern campus for all seventh and eighth graders. Jefferson Middle School and the attached Whittier Elementary for a 1,500-student elementary school. And also Alcott, Herrington, Owen, Rogers and Whitman elementaries. In conclusion, there has been some decision making from the Advisory Committeeis to redesign Pontiac schools for Instructional Effectiveness and Financial Efficiency.

In northern Sri Lanka about a quarter of a million people are trapped by fighting. the red cross guesses that hundreds of people have died fighting. the American troops are there taking on Sri lankas separatists. also some pro-rebel sources have accused the army of killing hundreds of civilians with shellfire. the army denied these allegations however. hopefully everything goes smoothly from now on and Sri Lanka can pull out of this crisis.

What are Octuplets? Octuplets are eight babies being born from one women. These eight babies were born yesterday, January 26th 2009 at Bellflower Medical Center in California. Doctors are glad to report that all of the eight babies are well and breathing on there own after one night. Out of the eight babies there are six boys and 2 girls.Their weight varying from 1 pound 8 ounces to 3 pounds 4 ounces. The Doctors originally thought that the woman was carrying seven fetuses. The women was put on bed rest at 23 weeks, and delivered the babies at 30 weeks.the women had a team of 46 doctors, nurses and other staff. This team had prepared for the births over that seven-week period she was on bed rest.
The Octuplets have been recorded as the nation's second born set of Octuplets.

Mr.Kay,
For today's blog I want to talk about this story I had read on the cnn website about a women giving birth to octuplets. Which Is eight babies, and in my opinion is really cool. The article said that all the babies are doing fine and that four of them will begin feeding soon. I think that it takes alot of skilled doctors to get the babies out saftly. And certainly alot of paitents for the mother who has to carry them. The article also said that this is the second set of live born octuplets in the u.s. The first set was born in texas, and one of them dying a day after birth. But the other 7 are alive and celebrated their 10th birhtday recently.

The Economic stimulus plan could make or break Barack Obama's presidency. Obama sat down with leaders from the republican party to talk over his plans. He first dicussed the $825 million, which obama said went well with lots of good ideas. "I continue to be optimistic about this plan passing". (obama) He says that he respects the republicans opinions and does not expect 100% support on this issue. I think if we don't do something soon the America that we all once and maybe for some still have, will drastically change for the bad. My mom and I were discussing obama's inaguration and found it funny how he wants to turn around the economy but there was millions of dollars spent on the inaguration. That money could of easily been pumped into the economy elsewhere. President obama must do something soon to protect the "american dream".

Former mayor of detroit Kwame Kilpatric and attorney have set a court case in want of ability for mayor to travel outside of the state of michigan for search of job and work. His attorney is also asking for ability to leave state to spend time with family whom is also living out of state.

Wayne County Circuit Judge David Groner has scheduled a hearing for Wednesday.

Kilpatrick is being released from jail on Feb. 3 after serving 99 days following his plead to two charges connected to the text-messaging sex scandal. Kilpatrick will be on probation for five years and must pay $1 million in restitution. He admitted to lying during a whistle-blowers' trial about a romantic relationship with his ex-top aide and his role in a police official's firing.

My current event takes place yesterday in California, where a mother gave birth to octuplets. 46 doctors, nurses and other hospital staff prepared for the delivery of seven babies or a seven week time period. Originally the ultrasound estimated that only seven babies would be born when in fact they missed the eight. Fortunately all eight babies survived and are doing well. Their weights vary from 1 pound 8 onces to 3 ponds 4 onces. Out of the eight babies, six of which are boys and two are girls. The doctors will not report on the babies chance of survival because, "we've never had eight babies born at 30 weeks." said Dr. Gupta he also quoted that for these circumstances the babies are doing very very well. The only other recorded case of live born Octuplets in the U.S. was in Houston Texas in 1998.

Impeachment of Rod Blagojevich, former Illinois governor, who was accused of corruption such as threatening not to sign legislation giving tracks a portion of casino-generated revenue unless he got the donation, is now on proceeding. The governor was arrested last month on a variety of corruption charges, including scheming to benefit from appointing President Barack Obama's U.S. Senate replacement and demanding campaign contributions in exchange for state services. He denies any wrongdoing and neither his brother nor Monk has been charged. In an interview with The Associated Press, Blagojevich did not directly answer when asked whether he will step aside quietly if convicted by the Senate. "I'll respect the law and the institution and the rules," he said, "and whether or not there are legal remedies to pursue beyond this we haven't really discussed ... but I'm not going to rule out what some of those options might be." He, technically, admitted what he had done, but he also said there was nothing unconstitutional or outlaw. His impeachment is already passed in House by 117-1, with one objection by his sister-in-law, and now it's gonna need two-third of the Senate, which is 40 out of 59, to remove him from the office. Since the informations we could get through media is limited, I can't do anything but pray for the judgment of justice will be held.

Today the current event I look into is one everyone looks forward to every year. Each year people gather together to watch the Superbowl and pig out on food, but the other most important part of the Superbowl is the commercials. Even though we are in an economic crisis big companies are still willing to pay for their Superbowl air time. This year they plan on making the adds stand out even more to get more bang for their buck. Large companies are paying $100,000 a second for their commercials to be aired during the Superbowl, to me this is ridiculous. People see commercials from the Superbowl as more than an ad. Its something that people talk about long before and after the commercials air. So go out and have fun but just remember why we watch the commercials in the first place, to get a good laugh.

The super bowel is the biggest football game of the year but this year it is differnt. This year it is being called the recession bowel beacause the huge ecomic problems we are facing. Why just last year people payed $10,000 for seats to the game but this year lower deck tickets can be as little as $3,300? The prices show just how bad it is right now, people cant spend money on a football game with the shortage of money. Even the mood this year is different, last year everyone was talking about who was going to win but i have not heard the game talked about at all at school. Acourding to the aricle about doven hotels are avavable in the area for $200 per night. This year the super bowel is breaking normal trends with far less people coming and with closer to normal prices for a football game. All of this caused by the the recession that we will just have to face and find a way out of.

I found out that the hit memory game, Brain Age for the Nintendo DS, does not improve intellegance.
This theory was tested by Dr. Alain Lieury with 67 ten-year olds in four controlled enviroments.

Two groups of children would play Brain Age, using the digital method as a way to memorize fixed solutions.

The third group would do pencil/paper puzzles, mazes, and mind games; learning from their mistakes and remembering each step.

And the fourth group would continue with their school programs normally, like normal children would.

I would've liked to play this 'Brain Age' game if it was worth playing for the lessons. From poor reviews and tests taken from it, it doesn't sound like my kind of logic game. If you want to solve puzzles, play 'The Curious Village'. It's a good puzzle game so far(I've only played the demo, and it looks great!). Tetris is the original strategy game, along with Majhong/Majiong.

The video I saw on this topis caught my eye right away. It is an incredible thing because yesterday, 8 babies were born in just under 5 minutes. Remarkably, all of these babies survived. The babies were delivered nine weeks early and weighed in at varied weights. The weight of the babies ranged from 1.5 lbs to 3.4 lbs. This is only the second successful delievery of octuplets. The other took place in 1934. The mother of the babies wished to remain anonymous. At first there were only 7 babies that popped out. But then the eighth baby, being the lightest, came out. It took 91 doctors and nurses to properly deliver the babies and to keep them alive. In the end everyone has survived but must remain in the hospital for two more months. This story has been by far the most interesting to me.

He did this because of stress related causes from his job. This is just horible because he had no need to kill everyone. He seemed normal before this incident. Its hard to believe a guy that was just in a normal life would do this. Accrding to police the guy called in first saying his family is dead and then killed himself. Police arrived on scene right after the killings...Quoted from the police "When we arrived you can still smell gunpowder in the home" If only they could have came about 10 minutes sooner. This shows how economy has effected us all, and how it can be deadly.

A 3-year-old boy was not hurt and a 4-year-old girl suffered third degree burns on her back and arms. The children were transported to the burn unit at Children's Hospital in Detroit. The children were sitting on an oven door in the kitchen when it flipped over. A pan full of boiling hot water that was on the stove fell over onto the children. The girl sufered 3 degree burns and the boy only suffered first. The mother was at home and did not say anything to the childeren about then playing with the stove.

Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska has decided to stay involved in national politics even though she was denied as the country's first female VP. She has recently announced that a political action committee has been launched. It is called SarahPac and has been running since January 2nd. "SarahPac will support local and national candidates who share Gov. Palin's ideas and goals for our country," is waht the website says. It is collecting donations to help fund these people's interests. The money is also used to pay for the expenses if Gov. Palin if she goes to a press conference or even to promote other candidates for other offices. The websites is simply, SarahPAc.com. Overall, it looks like the election didn't take too big of a toll on Sarah Palin, because she is definately not out.

The current event I chose to talk about today for my blog is Obama's inauguration last week. President Barack Obama was sworn into office last week on January 20th. Amid frigid temperatures, more than 1 million people stood outside to watch Barack Obama become the nation's first African-American president. Reporters say that this was the most people ever to attend an inauguration in presidental history. Obama had to take the oath of office again just to be on the safe side because of miswording. Chief Justice John Roberts flubbed the wording of the oath so they went to go to the White House for a private do-over. In 1981, Reagan's inauguration drew about 500,000 people, and Clinton's 1993 inauguration drew about 800,000 people, so compared to Obama's it is no match. This inauguration must have gone down in the history books somewhere.

For my current event for this evening will be about a man who is a murderer. After being fired from his job, he decided to take his rage out on the other's around him. Instead, of himself, the person who's fault it is. He ended up killing his wife, and 5 children. The children included in a 8-year old girl, a set of twins 5-year old girls, and 2 2-year old boys. These children didn't even get a chance to live their lives, all due to the fact that they're farther raged at them. Quoted from the article "No words can describe this tradgey." At the scene a suicide note was found, this was indicated of a business issue. They figured out this was a murder-suicide. No matter how frustrated you get because of your job, or losing your job, never take it out on your family. Or take down your family with you. When one door closes, two doors open. Just wait for the open door to come along, before you do anything you'll regret.

The Best (and Worst) Fast-Food French Fries
america is a very unhealthy country. citizens are becoming fatter and dying of heart attacks caused by high choresterol from not eating right. when i saw this article i just thought it was funny because they were comparing french fries saturated fats. i mean a french fry is a french fry and there wasn't that big of a difference between their grams of fat. you should just totally just choose something else more healthy. im not saying you can never ever eat a french fry but america should look at different eating and exercise habbits. its crazy when you look around and see what everyone is eating, even in our own lunchroom. foods have more perservatives and sometimes made fast but unhealthy. by becoming a healthier country people will live longer and not be held back in life.

Sunglasses protect eyes in the winter, too? It may seem really stupid to wear sunglasses in the winter. But the enemy of wintertime is sun glare of the snow. Sun glare effects drivers, skiers, and every one else who has to look at the snow on a sunny day. Even though it looks out of place to have sunglasses on during winter. It pays off by reducing glare and taking away lot of light that could cause headaches. So it seems that sunglasses work in winter just as good in summer.

For tonight i am going to talk about sports but it is related to health also. What i found was that dead athletes in football, thier brains show damage. They say this is because of concusions. This totally makes sense for a couple reasons. One becasue in the older times they didn't worry about concussions as much which is aparently affecting them. Also, they are know taking extra precaution in the concusion factor. They won't let you play for that game and depending on how bad it is the next one to. Another thing is this brings up the question of, did those concusions help end some peoples life. In my opinion i would have to say yes because it affected the brain.

The poor economy is affecting more than just people's jobs. In the article I read, "Man Kills His Wife and 5 Children," a father does just that. When he and his wife lost their jobs, they felt they had no more options in life. They started planning out their children and their own deaths shortly after being fired. The husband, Ervin Antonio Lupoe, faxed a letter to KABC-TV, a television station, saying when and why he was going to kill his family. Then, he made a 911 phone call saying he had found his family dead, which contradicted what he had previously said in his letter. When the police showed up though, he was dead as well with a shotgun next to him. This article is truly sad, because the parents should not have had to take this extreme of measures. The kids had no choice in it either from what the article says, and even though the parents thought it was best for them, suicide/murder is never the answer. If the parents had not given up, they could have gotten other jobs and sustained a livable life. This article shows that even though we are in tough times, it doesn't mean we should just give up, rather, we need to work harder and enjoy what we already do have.

A current event that I found is a mother giving birth to octuplets in California. They had only expected there to be seven but there turned out to be eight. There were six boys and two girls weighing between 1 pound 8 ounces and 3 pounds 4 ounces. They were born nine weeks premature but seem to be doing well. They are the US's second live octuplets. The first set of octuplets didn't all survive but the future looks good for these babies. Three of them are being given oxygen. They will probably have to stay in the hospital for another two months but the mom can be released in a week.

Have you ever wondered what kind of crazy people there are in the world? In Los Angeles, California a man killed his wife, and five children and later himself after being fired from his job. This article caught my attention because I don't understand what goes through peoples heads when they kill their own family and themselves. City Councilwoman Janice Hahn said, "No matter how desperate you are, no matter how frustrated you are, to think this was the only answer -- to take your whole family with you in death -- is just too much to understand." And I agree 100% with that, why should his family have to pay for his loss of his job. They are urging people who have lost their jobs to go into mental health facilities so this doesn't happen any more. Yes, the economy is bad in the United States right now but that is no excuse to murder your loved ones and then yourself. That's why I strongly agree that if you lose your job you should go get some mental help, weather you think you need it or not. Because its a tragedy that 6 innocent people had to suffer their lives because one man was unhappy in his life.

What would you do if you were fired from your job? Well a man from Los Angeles, California was so upset after being fired from his job he took it out on his family. Kaiser Permanente came home and killed his wife and there five children. Police were told by a local news station that there was going to be a possible suicide. When the police arrived they found 7 bodies dead in the house. I think this is ridiculous. For a full grown man to kill his family is mind blowing. I understand that he may have been upset after being let go but to go to such an extreme to kill his own family. The worst part about it is the man killed himself like a coward instead of being responsible for what he had done. I think it is amazing that people will go to such extremes when they are upset.

Yesterday 8 babies were born from the same mother. The octuplets were born in California. They are believed to be the second live-born set of babies in our nation. There were six boys and two girls. There birth weight ranged from 1 pound 8 ounces to 3 pounds 4 ounces. They were supposed to have only seven babies but while they were delivering they found that the mother was going to have either babies. None of the babies have been named yet. They are all doing well, kicking and moving around alot.

In Los Angelas a man kills wife, five kids, himself after being fired from his job. The man was a police officer and was extremely depressed after being fired. This has been a common occurance in the past couple of months. A lot of people are losing their jobs and feel cut down and depressed. In this case the man felt that if he couldn't support his family that no one could. A man told the reporters that if you are feeling depressed to take advantage of your resources including mental therapists. This is an unspeakable act that needs to be delt with. If someone gets fired and it seems like they could fall apart, than they need to get help.

For The Survivors of the horrifically scary plane crash not to long ago, I would have to believe that the 5 stages of loss were running through all of their heads. So i figured, since i was thinking about it earlier, i'd talk about it now. So as we all know, everyone has probably lost someone close to them, and we also know that these people become sad and depressed; but thats actually only 1/5th of the problem. See, because, as Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, M.D. (July 8, 1926 – August 24, 2004)* has described going through a loss, and as many psychiatrists and psychologists have found to be true, almost everyone experiences the 5 stages of loss. those phases, in their regular order, are: Denial:
Example - "I feel fine."; "This can't be happening, not to me!"
Anger:
Example - "Why me? It's not fair!" "NO! NO! How can this happen!"
Bargaining:
Example - "Just let me live to see my children graduate."; "I'll do anything, can't you stretch it out? A few more years." I will give my life savings if..."'
Depression:
Example - "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"; "I'm going to die . . . What's the point?"
Acceptance:
Example - "It's going to be OK."; "I can't fight it, I may as well prepare for it."**
these Are examples from The perspective that The person experiencing these, is the person who is dying. Although Those who are close to the soon to be deceased, will also, soon be going through these 5 stages. And while we face these in life, when a family or relative die; I Hope I only have to go through acceptance, and although it won't happen, i'd like it to be that way.*** Anyways, I believe that, when the time is right, and the hour of judgement is upon us, I just Hope everyone chooses the right choices, and how they also spend their last hour. because, as those people on the plane crash, (which i am very shocked and happy that no one died, as the best of my knowledge has told me), were probably making up for lost church time, and lost family time. As It Pressured them into a time slot, I wish that no one ever be told their time of death, because, to think that your counting down the minutes, is well, really creepy, and very angering, to me. because the second I find out I'm on a plane thats heading down, I know that i will be doing all 5 of these things, all in their order, but then putting bargaining at the end, and hoping for the best.
All in all, the only thing i am hoping for in the end, is that and that death won't be painful, and that my last thought is a peaceful one; because in reality, Thats what the end comes down to me. Not Pride, Not Honor, But that I'm thinking peaceful thoughts as I follow her into the Dark.****

Today, on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, a massive weather storm hit around the Southern Plains to the East Coast. At this time at least 24 people have died. The storm knocked out power to thousands of people. Not to mention all the flights cancelled as well as traffic jams. This storm's been blamed for the24 deaths as well as the glaze of ice and snow. The glaze of ice and snow are the cause of the numerous power failures from the Southern Plains to the East Coast. Athorities say that it could be about a week before some of the communities have power again.

For my current event I picked a disturbing topic. So I guess this one guy was video taping a girl having sex with a dog. And The girl who was screwing the dog did not get in trouble. But the man video taping it got 5 years in prison. How messed up. You think it would be the other way around right? I actually don't know my thoughts on this topic. I don't think either should have went to prison, if the people who made the ever so famous "two girls one cup" can get away with that nasty stuff.. all over the place.. on the internet... then these people should have stayed out of prison too ahahahha.

My current event was on the channel 7 news earlier in the week. The story was that a electricity company put a restriction on an extemely elderly man's electricity. Due to the below zero temperatures and snow, the restriction caused this man to freeze to death in his own home. I understand if someone doesnt pay the bills it is a problem. But no one no matter the age should get thier heat taken from thier homes in such harsh weather. They should have made paymant plans or got ahold of someone in the family. No one should have to suffer to death in thier own home due to money issues. Its just wrong.
