Day 17

Great job today in regards to discussing the values of Chris' life. Remember that you need to pick one of these values and find two quotes in the book that show the value.

Remember to finish reading Dr. Heidegger's Experiment. Once you have completed the reading respond to the following blog:

If you could be ten years old again, knowing what you know now, would you turn back the clock? Give your answer as the concluding paragraph of a story about a teenager who chooses to become ten years old again. Think clearly about the positives and negatives to going back 5-6 years and show what they would be.

I would like to go back to when I was 10 years old again because I don't have much pressure to do things, you don't get a lot of homework, and I don't have any responsiblities. When I say you don't have pressures to do things, I mean like getting involved with drugs and alcohol. Also, you get barely any homework. Homework in high school makes me stress out so much and my life would be so much more easier without it. Lastly, you don't have too many responsibilities. On a regular day, you go to school, come home, grab a snack and go play with your friends. Overall, I would enjoy being ten again.

If I could go back to when I was ten I would. As a ten year old you have a lot of freedom. You don't have chores or homework and a lot of free time. When I was ten I didn't have the stress of homework and school. All I did when I was ten was hang with my friends and go to school. School was fun at ten and it would be great to be ten again. The bad part of being ten was that if you did something bad you would get grounded. being ten was fun and I would like to live life like that again.

I would not go back to being 10 years old again because I wouldnt have as much freedom as I do now. I have responsibilities now but they really don't bother me. When I was was 10 I had a fun time, I really didnt need to worry about anything but I still wouldn't want to go back to being that age. Elementary school was easy but I really didn't care for it. I'd rather be in high school like i am now. When i was 10 I still had chores and got disciplined and it's still the same now. I like my freedom now and the way I am. I liked when I was 10 but I wouldn't want to go back to being that age.

I wouldn't want ot go back to being ten years old. I had almost no freedom at that age and it is nothing compared to being fifteen. I still had alot of chores when i was ten but i wasn't able to just go and hang out with my friends whenever i wanted to. Now i have the freedom to do that. I also wouldn't want to go back and have to repeat part of elementary school and middle school. I didn't like them and i'm enjoying high school so much more. I love having the freedom and there is nothing that i would really want to re-do. Overall i wouldn't go back and be ten. I enjoy being fifteen much more.

I would want to go back to being ten years ago, then again i wouldn't. There are many positives and negatives to going back this far in time. I would love going back and being ten again because when you were ten, you were carefree. You weren't really responsible for anything. You never had to stress about school, or life in general. Everything was handed to you and there was no worries really. There are also very many negatives. You would have to go through everything you already went through again. Also you wouldn't have as much freedom to do things as you do now. I wouldn't want to relive middle school years either. So it would be a pretty hard debate.

So now that I have this chance to go back to when I was ten years old, I'm going to cherish this opportunity. I will look at the world in the most simple perspective. I won't care about anything, and just live without problems. After all, there really is nothing that should hassle me when I am ten years old. My life as a teen and as a young child are like opposites. Teenagers are always self conscious, and as a kid I am not. I want to be a kid forever. No worries, no stress, just simply happiness.

If i could go back to being ten, i definitely would. There wasn't close to as much stress of school and things, and i really didn't have to worry about stuff. Another reason i would like to go back is because back then i just did everything grownups told me. Now (being ten, with my 15 year old mind) i no i don't have to cus they cant do anything. Like if they tell me to go to the office, or there giving me a wright up, i can actually defend myself affectivly. Also i would never wright in cersiv, like they made us. they sed that we would have to no it, haha i dont even remeber how to do it now, alot of good that did me. But it could also be a bad thing. for example, i could be considerd a bad kid, for not following all the rules like every one dus at that age. But it would be fun to go back, and be ten. things were alot simpler.

the question to become ten again once you are fourteen Plus is a very tough decision. the reason for this is because once you turn a teen you have a sense of independence. also you cant wait until you drive and and feel free when your fourteen you only need two more years. but when your ten you can get away with everything, and cry your heart out. but i would choose to stay fifteen the reason is because i like responsibility. like they always say you don't know what you have until it's gone and i don't want to risk that. this is what my decision would be if i had a chance to "turn back the clock"

if i had the oppwetunity to go back 5 or 6 years ago i would take it. i think i would try and change the past if i did like what happened. i think i would allow myself to try things that i never had did when i was it. some postitive thing that would turn out would maybe changing some fears would have. some negitive thing might be i dont remember whar i did that long ago. even though i dont remember what happend i think i could still change my outloook on things. that is the positive and negitive thing about me going back in time.

I probibly would go back to when i was 10. I had alot of fun then. Also there was no stress and little to no homework. If i could go back to 10 i would be very smart knowning what i know know and i could get straight A's again. Also i wouldn't have maybe responsiblilties and i could use that excuse to get out of things again. Only bad thing i could think of to be 10 again is the less freedom to do what i want and a bed time. Other then that the rest is good. I would love to be 10again then again, who wouldn't?

If I had the opportunity to go back to being 10 years old I probaly would. Mainly because life was a lot easier then. No stress, no peer pressure, less school work, etc. Life back then was about fun, happiness, and preporation for the future. There wasnt much to deal with at all when you were 10 years old. The lack of peer pressure when you are 10 years old is a big thing. Also the stress. In highschool there's a lot of stress. With all the work, concerns about the future, and things like that. Im pretty sure that if ANYONE had to opppertunity to going back to when they were 10 years old they would say yes.

Knowing the days I have suffered through, I would not turn back to when I was just 10 years old again. It's not like I'm old now, I'm still young. Plus, I am happier now than I ever was at 8, 9, 10 or 11 combined. At 10 years old I was going through the worst time. I went though a lot of hard times. And I'm extremely relieved that they are over with. I don't necessarily regret those years because it helped me to mature at a young age and give me a better way of dealing with stuff. I think the only advantage of going back 5 years would be that I would know a lot more and life. I would have a better stand point and knowing what I do now, 10 years old probably wouldn't be as bad as it was. But no, I would not go back to 10 years old, I would not drink from the fountain of youth because 1. I would change back in a mere 10 minutes anyway and 2. it's just not worth it to me.

If I could, I would definitely go back to being ten years old. When you're ten, you have very few things to worry about. You have less responsibilities. And you don't get stressed as easily. A normal day for a kid would be like this... School, Home, Food, Play, sleep. REPEAT! All the things that make people crazy don't matter at that age. I really like the idea of simplicity, and being 10 years old would give you that. Most kids seem happy all the time, and who wouldn't want that!? The only thing I would dislike about going back is the whole, I'm not old enough to do anything part. As a child you have less freedom and your parents, and adults always give you stupid rules to follow. Even with the rules, I would love to go back to an age that was a lot easier to deal with.

I would love to be able to go back to when i was ten again. When we were ten, we had basically no responsibly and we could do whatever we wanted to do. Another reason would be drama. Highschoolers have so much drama to deal with. The only drama I have now that i'm ten was that somebody stole my candy bar at lunch. The only reason that i would regret about being ten is when you are 15, you have a lot more freedom in what you do. Most 15-16 yearolds can drive and really dont need their parents permission to go places. I would love to be a ten year-old again.

If i was able to turn back time to when i was ten i would. Ten year olds in my opinion have freedom. They may have chores but they are very simple tasks and you usually get a whole week to complete them. This helps in a way with accomplishing goals cause the ten year old has to get them done but they have plenty of time to do it. Same thing happens with homework i mean very rarely when i was ten did i ever have homework now i have homework everynight due the very next day. When I was ten i didnt have a thought in my mind other than having fun by having a lemonade stand, hanging with friends, or many other things. I never had to worry about good grades for college or earning my own money or anything like that. Was there a downside to being ten? Of course you couldnt go anywhere without a parent or guardian. If i had a chance to be ten i would deffinetly take it.

I think it would be both good and bad to go back and be 10 again. I think it would be good because you dont have as much responsibility. You dont have to do all of the chores that you have to do when you are older. It would also be bad because you dont get as many priveledges when you are younger. You have to go to bed earlier and you cant go out as much without guidence. I dont think i would turn back the clock although I would have changed a couple things. I believe I lived my life well enough that I dont have to do that. This is what I think it would be like to be 10 again.

If I could go back to being ten years old I would. Being ten was the best. I did't have much homework, no peer pressure, and no responsibilities. I would also change a few things as well. I would change the way I treated my grandparent's dog. I would have also done better on my homework. Homework these days are more stressful than homework then. I would have also spent more time with the friends that I haven't seen in years. Overall, I would enjoy going back to being ten years old.
