Day 25

Decent discussion today. It would be helpful and beneficial if people would be more willing to discuss. IF this does not happen, then I will begin to assign points to discussion. I would prefer not to do this as it seems to be treating you like kids not young adults.

For this evening, ponder the following:

How do you rebel against your family, school, and community values? If you say you do not, why? Is rebellion a form of non-conformity based on the discussion from "Self Reliance?"

I rebel against school by procrastinating when doing my homework. I seem to procrastinate alot when i need to do my homework and that is a bad choice on my part. I also rebel against my parents by not listening to them when they tell me to let's say the dishes. If i don't do them then i have a consequence for my choice. Rebellion is definetly a for of non-comformity. Non-comformity is when you don't follow what others are doing and you do your own thing. By rebelling, you are ignoring what others are doing and you are doing what you want to do.

In school I rebel when the teachers give us time to work and I talk. This is not a good thing because then I have a lot of homework. I don't like to have homework so I try not to rebel too much. I rebel against my family by procrastinateing when they tell me to do something. One example is when my dad tells me to take out the garbage. I say ok then like at 9 I'll do it. Based on our discussion from "Self Reliance" Rebellion is a form of non-conformity. Rebelling is thinking and acting on your own. Non-conformity is not being a follower and doing what you want to do.

I rebel against my family by rarely doing what I'm told. If i don't do anything then most of my privileges will be taken away. I also rebel against school by not doing my homework and procrastinating when I do it. Procrastinating is a bad thing on my part, because I can't afford any bad grades. I believe that rebellion is a form of non-conformity. It is a form of voicing your own opinion on what you want. I also agree what all the others say on this subject.

I try my best not to rebell aginst school,i cant really rebel against school. its hard to rebell against school. a way to rebell aginst school is not doing your homework or mabe being disrespectful toward you teachers an administration or don't go to school at all the time. But when you do that, your grades drop, and people cant have bad grades or bad attendence. one way that i do rebel is by procrastinateing to get my home work done. it is hard for me to find a quiet place an the time to get it done.rebelling is a in my opionion is a way of showing ability in which who the bigger person is.

Everyone knows that they all rebel once and awhile in their life time no matter what you are rebelling against. Personally, I have found myself rebelling against rules that my parents have placed in my life. Rules like you need to be perfect, you have to get amazing grades, you have to be a good girl, and you have to be on top of things all the time. To me, being a non conformist is making mistakes, showing my flaws, and being myself even when it's not what everyone wants. I have learned to deal with what is going on with my non-conformity, and so have my parents. They still ride me about the mistakes I make, but I still end up making them, because it is me and I'm not going to change the way I am. I feel as if rebellion is a way of expressing non-conformity, and everyone shows it in their own way.

I really don't rebel against school. I may not agree with things in school or school period but I still go along with it. Same with family. They are many ways you could rebel school though. One major way is skipping school or cutting classes. Another way is not doing school work or homework. You could rebel your family by not following something they tell you to do. And community values, Im sure many people rebel against them. I think rebellion is is a form of non- conformity. I think this because you are going against something that you should follow. You go by what you think should be right but not what really is.

I think I rebel form my family by staying in my bedroom a lot where they cannot bug me. I rebel from school by ignoring some things I should pay attention to. Also by not taking part in a lot of things. I really cant think of a way that I rebel form my community right now. I rebel from my family by staying in my room a lot because I like to be away from my family sometimes and I am more entertained and comfortable in my room. I rebel from school because I greatly dislike school. I'm pretty sure everyoe rebels from school in different ways or similar ways. Thats really all I can think of in the line of me rebeling.

To rebel against my family, almost comes naturally to me now. I rebel against my family- meaning my mom and my sister, alandra- because I feel their values are wrong. It may be an opinion thing but when it comes to me living with them I'm not going to be apart of something I think is a disgrace. Our views are almost always different and I'm almost always the one who goes against both of them. I think this does relate to the discussion of conformity today because it involves me refusing to give in when I know I am right. I will not step in line with them when I feel the line is crooked. I will stand my ground and rebel against my family.

I don't really like to call myself a "rebel" but, I guess I am slightly rebellious. I rebel against school by putting things off until the last minute and I don't really follow the rules. I get in trouble. My family is the easiest to rebel against. I am told all the time to not wear the clothes I wear because I don't look "girly" enough. I do it anyways because that's what I like. I don't really do what I'm told either. It's not because I want to be difficult, it's because there's no point to the things I am told to do. I'm not a perfect kid. I am a trouble maker! I like it that way. In a way rebellion can be a form of non conformity but, not always. If you rebel against something for a good reason, or for any reason at all it isn't conforming. If you do it because your friends are doing it or because someone else told you to, it would be a form of conformity. I successfully made myself seem like a brat today in this blog, cool.

I rebel agenst my parents in a few ways. 1 way is not to going church. God may exist but im not Sher, so going to church a lot to me seems stupid. If god is self existent, and was always here like they say then the universe could be to, so im not Sher. This is rebelling because im not gana do something i fully baleav is true. A way i rebel agents school, is using my phone in the hallway and other places. Its not hurting me or anybody els so i do it. Rebelling can be a form of non-conformity, like if every one in the school is doing something and there urging you to do and you don't. But it also can be conforming. For example if a lot of people are rebelling agents something, and you rebel with them to fit in and be cool or just because there dong it would be conforming.

Gunna go with Mr.Kays statment on my life being a roller coaster. I rebel in everything by sometimes paying attention and sometimes I dont. Usually i do but if its boring me then usually i start messing with something to entertain myself. Sometimes i just completely blow people off and dont hear a word they say. To me non-comformity is a rebellion. you don't do things like everyone else or how they want it to be done. you just do it your way when you want to do it.

I rebel against homework by not doing it until the day it's due. This is not a good thing. I rebel against my family by not doing the things my parents tell me to do over and over again. This gets me in trouble. You always have consequences or reward for your actions, but when you rebel the consequences will over trump the rewards. Rebellion is a form of non-conformity based on "Self Reliance". They both mean to do what you want to do.

rebel is to fight what you think is wrong. i do not rebel against my family, school, and community values in any way what so ever. i think rebellion is a form of non-conformity because they fight for what they stand for. i don't think that i rebel against any three of those items because i follow the rules even if i don't like them. now based on self reliance i think that he was definitely a non-conformist. the reason is because of how he talks about how he hates every thing and doesn't agree with our government. that was my opinion on rebellion.

I only really only rebel against school by not listening to my teachers. There are some teachers that I don't have respect for so I don't listen to them. As for my family and community values, I do not really rebel. I respect my family and I don't violate community values because I don't want to get in trouble with the law. I do think that rebellion is a for of non-conformity. Like we talked about in class, when you rebel, you are doing it because you don't believe in someone else's beliefs because you know what your true personal values are. Being a non-conformist is an example of rebellion.

I think rebellion is a form of nonconformity. If most people are doing what they are told and you choose not to i think that is partially being a nonconformist. I rebel against my family in things like chores i dont think theyre neccessary while my mom dad and brother do so while all of them choose to clean up after themselves i choose not to. In school im a procrastinator so while most people with get it done ayyysappp i'd most likely wait till the last minute. So in some ways i guess i can be a nonconformist. I dont think i am a nonconformist to my society because i usually agree in what they have to say. Is it possible for someone to be half & half? Like only sometimes you can be nonconformist? If so i think thats what i am.

Some people may not want to rebel but everyone does it. You cant be perfect and not rebel 100% of the time. I sometimes rebel when it comes to family because i dont always do the chores that I'm suppose to. I do not think that being non-conformate means that you rebel. I think it means that you follw the rules and you just have your own opnions on things. You will do things right but maybe not think about things the same way as everyone else. Non-conformity is not bad it's just different.
