My current event for this evening is about a man bringing back hot water as an energy source. This effects my life because if we can find new sources of energy such as hot water, we can save so much money. Also, if we can keep bringing back energy sources, imagine what the future will be like. A lot of people will get cheaper energy if we can keep using things as hot water power. This also effects the world as a society because in this bad economy, people need cheaper energy. In my home, my parents pay about one hundred dollars for their energy bill. If there is any way possible to lower that cost and do it so that it's safe for the enviornment, then it'd be great. Overall, bringing back hot water energy can hopefully make energy cheaper for everyone.

“Shell is increasingly focusing on natural gas, the cleanest-burning fossil fuel, Peter Voser says. This means that if shell uses the natural gas the emishions from the burning gasoline will be cleaner. This effects everyone in the world. The cleaner the emishions the cleaner the world. Also there will be less green house gases. Green house gases are the leading cause of global warming. Global warming can effect everyone if it gets server. It could melt the polar ice caps move the water level up there for drownding some cities. It could also make the world a whole lot warmer and no one likes to much heat.

My current event is about the boy who brought his favorite camping utensil to school. This boys name was Zack Christie. Zack's favorite toy was a "A Swiss Army-type combination of fork, spoon, bottle opener and knife" (MSN). The boy says he was bringing it to school to simply eat lunch with it. When Zack got off the bus with this toy in his hand, the teacher took it and Zack got called down to the principals office. Zack was eventually sent to reform school. The school is attempting to change the rule so that Zack can return to school.

Last Friday, flu and swine flu vaccinations were stopped. They\ government made this move because the companies manufacturing the shots were running low. This was not a very wise decision. Studies are starting to tell us that young people are at a high risk for complications of the H1N1 virus. Adults are piling up in the hospital with symptoms of the disease. Symptoms may even go unnoticed for a few days, but then take a turn for the worst and hit you with brutal ones. This affects people in my community because everyone is at risk for the swine flu and even the flu. Since people can't currently receive the shot, they are more likely to get it. If one person in my community gets the flu, then their family is likely to get it. If their family gets it then more people in the community could get it. So as you can read, everyone is at high risk.

The GOP is using President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize as a fundraising tool, by mocking the award in a send-money letter to Republicans. i think that this is wrong because i think that he had deserved it. there should be no reason that they are making fun of him to help make republicans look good. epsically right after russians president cograguated him on the cold war that we were winning the cold war.But Republican National Committee head Michael Steele is bristling with outrage, saying in a letter that Obama won the prize "for awesomeness." i think that this is bad because even though people dodnt belive that he deserves it we shouldnd make fun of him. that is what my current event is about.

My article is called "Senate panel OKs health reform bill; Obama: "We're not there yet." It talks about how president Obama wants to create health insurance exchanges to make it easier for small groups and individuals to purchase coverage. By doing this though it would affect tax payers. Doing so means higher tax prices on expensive insurance policies and new fees on the health industry. With this happening it would cut the national deficit by roughly $80 billion over the next 10 years. I don’t pay taxes but I personally don’t think they should be raise. How will this work out for everybody else. I think it is a good idea minus the fact of raising taxes.

My current for tonight is about global warming. What happened to it? Over the past couple years we have heard so much about it and then all of a sudden not so much. Scientists say for the last 11 years we have not had any increase in global temperature. They also say the manmade gas they thought was causing global warming really had only a small factor in it and that global warming is just happening on its own. I think that even though they say global warming is just happening doesnt mean we should stop trying to help it. What if later down the road they find out about what is causing it? We should just try to do as much as we can now so it doesnt get as bad. This effects our community because if we all do what we can to help we can really make a difference. To me it is so important to be involved with projects to help stop global warming from getting worse. As a community we need to all lend a helping hand and the more people that do it the more change will occur.

My Current event today is on the swine flew. An analysis of the sickest swine flu patients in Australia, Canada, Mexico, and New Zealand suggests that relatively healthy adolescents and young adults are among the most likely to get very sick after an H1N1 infection. A pattern similar to that seen in the 1918 influenza pandemic."These studies are telling us that young people are at risk for bad complications of H1N1". This means that young people have a better chance of dieing from the swine flue. This could affect the us in many ways, It could cost us money to make the vacseen. And it could caws people to die.

"Iran Sending Enriched Uranium to Russia (Oct. 1): In talks with U.S. and other major powers, Iran agrees to send its enriched uranium to Russia and open up the newly discovered nuclear plant to international inspection. If Iran follows through with this promise, it would significantly reduce Iran's ability to produce nuclear weapons" this article was OCT. 1 so it is a current event. this article talks about how Iran sent enriched uranium to Russia. this can effect the world because that means two things that nuclear bombs can be made and Iran has the ability to make nuclear bombs which is not good. this effects the country (community) because if either country Russia or Iran decide that we did something then that could result in nuclear war. this effects me because if nuclear war was going to brake out it would make families flee including mine.the possibilities of this happening are slim to none since we are friendly with them but Iran has the technology to do so. this was my current event this week hope you enjoyed.

The current even that i found is about social networking. Ways of communication online. Such as Myspace and Facebook, and there are more too. They are saying how generally younger people are more into Myspace, and as you get older Facebook seems more appropriate. This definately relates to me and all of my peers because more than half of our school has both a Myspace and a Facebook. These two websites are very popular for our generation. "Myspace has one generation, Facebook has another" is what Anna Owens has to say about the two. Almost every person in our school has either a Myspace or a Facebook, and many even have both.

"Health insurance premiums for the typical American family would increase by another $4,000 by 2019 under a key Senate overhaul plan, according to an industry trade group analysis." Personally, I don't think the government's analysis is appropriate on raising health insurance at this time. Our economy is already struggling as it is, and there is just no need to give us another setback. In our realistic world, health insurance is the security blanket for most families. The government needs to take it easy on this subject because it is much needed around our nation. Hopefully this plan will not become reality, for the voting will be taking place on Tuesday. If it passes, however, we will need to adapt as much as possible.
