Hope you understood transcendentalism today and the fact that people who follow this philosophy are free thinkers who want to try things and do not want to be pideon holed into a box. There are many pros and cons to thinking this way and we will discuss them in several contexts over the next few weeks.

Life is constantly moving at a quick pace and we are often just trying to keep up. How do you escape the hectic world around you? What things do you do and do you do them with people or alone? Is it better to be a part of the world or escape from it?

I escape the hectic world by watching Tv, playing my video games, and listen to my music. Without these things my life would just go down the drain. I really don't care if i do these things with other people, it just depends on my mood. It's better to be part of the world because if you escape it, then you will be very lonely. But, if you escape the world then you have all the time to do what ever you want. I personally would be part of the world.

There are many possible ways to get away from it all. I escape by playing xbox and chilling in my room. Most of the time I like to just be by myself. Being with friends depends on if I have a good attitude going on. I think it's a mixture of both. Sometimes it is good to be apart of the world because you will hang out with friends and interact with other people. But, sometimes it is important to escape and have some alone time.
To get away from the stress of the world i just go into my room and listen to music. If i didn't have my music i don't know how i would get through some things. But i definetly have to say that i would never want to just run away. I'm very much a people person and i'm happiest around people. I would go crazy if i were alone too long. I need to be entertained by talking to other people. I personally think it would be a terrible idea to not be apart of the world. You have to be involved in something or have people or life can get really dull.
I have a few ways of realiveing my stress. One way is that I listen to music on the computer. I just sit in the seat and relaxe. Thats what im doing right now. Another way is just watching tv. Most of the time when I watch tv I also eat something and get relaxed. Sometimes when im really stress I beat up my puching bag untill I get tired. I also ride my skateboard and throw a tennis ball at the brick wall near my garage. When I'm doing these things im normally in my own world.
There are a few different ways I escape the hectic world around me. One of the ways is sitting in my room listening to music. It just helps me to relax and be at ease. Another way is to draw. When I draw I forget about everything hectic that is going on and I concentrate on my drawing. I am usually alone when I am doing these things because I usually don't like to be bothered. Sometimes I enjoy people being around though when something hectic in the world is going on. I really can't decide on whether I'd rather be part of the world or escape from it because I think both ways are good.
When I am frustrated or stressed out, and I feel like life is moving too fast, I prefer to be alone. When I am alone I can easier gather my thoughts than if I was with someone. I don't like looking for sympathy or someone to say 'they know how I feel'. All I want when I am stressed out is to be surrounded by peace and quiet. Another reason I like to be alone is because when I'm stressed out, I get irritated easily and often say things without thinking which usually leads to regrets in my choice of words. Most of the time, I choose my room to escape to because I feel most comfortable there with all my belongings. But other times I will go running to blow off some steam. Either way, not hiding but simply turning the other cheek to the world is how I cope with frustration because I have found it a better and easier way to deal with overwhelming problems.
There are many ways I escape when life gets a little too crazy. I might go in my room and blare some country songs on my stereo. Or when I feel like my emotions are all bottled up I call my best friend and just tell her everything. But when I can't do any of those, I ususally go for a walk. I have a lot of property and a dirt road so I just like to wander around to get my mind off of things. When I'm not having a good day, I really don't want to be with my friends. Usually when I'm pissed off and on edge, my temper is wicked short and I yell or say things I would never think of saying. There is one person though that I can be around on these days, and that's my mom. I feel like she gets everything that I say and she always has good advice for me, and it usually helps. I do think that it is better to be a part of the world. I would never do what Chris McCandless did and just run away. One day when I was little, I ran away into my tree fort and had a bonfire but that only lasted for about 3 hours. If I escaped from the world, I would just feel even more alone than I already was. Everyone should have a place to go when everything seems wrong.
For me, the best way to escape from everything I just play games, watch TV, and hang out with friends. If I couldnt do these things life would just plain suck. Playing games and hanging with my friends is the best way, because I'll be talkin to my friends and havin fun either way. So it's a realy good way for me to relax and escape the world around me. I think it is definentaly better to be part of the world, even though somethimes it may not seem like it. If you just keep to yourself and not go out into the world you will be lonely and have no one to talk to, do things with, or help you through hard times. But if your part of the world you'll pretty much always have some one to talk to, something to do, and some one to help you feel better about the things happening. But thats just my opinion, and every one has their opinion, and thats just something you cant get rid of. So even though you may want to escape form the world and keep to yourself, its always better to be part of the world.
There are a lot of things i can do to relax and get my mind straight. One thing i can do is just sit down and relax. another thing is watch t.v. I also like to play video games, witch lets me totally take my mind off anything that's troubling me. Or read a book witch dose the same thing for me. But i can also take a different approach and try to work things out in my mind, kinda like finding a solution. Or talk to my parents or friends.
the world is very hectic. to escape it i usully just sit on the computer and run itunes. Im a very independant person, 60% of the time im alone, im an only child. Id rather be a part of the would then be excluded from it. I have to find ways to entertain myself alot. I don't have the advantage of having someone around all the time so when i do i take full advantage of the time and have fun. Like today, i just got back from travis's house about and hour or 2 ago. We played gears and call of duty. He said im getting better. :D
If I feel stressed out, there's a lot of different things I do to escape the hecticness (is that a word?). The thing I do most is write music. Everything I am feeling at the time, I write in a song. And that helps a lot. I like to be alone and with other people when I am trying get away for all the stress. I like being alone at certain times but not always. At times I think it is good to escape from the world. Sometimes you just need time to clear your head. And then start again. I guess it all just depends on the situation.
When i feel like i just need a break from this hectic world it depends on how overwelmed i am at the moment. When its just somthing that i need to talk to someone about or somthing, if i can hangout with my friends, i would love to because i always have a good time with them. But then again if it was a week night or somthing i would usually just talk to my mom or dad, and go in my room by myself and listen to music for a little bit and sleep. Sleeping always helps me, expecially when im tired and don't feel very good. And i think that when your world around you is spinning so fast and you just need a break, its good to zone out of the world. But it is also good to stay in routine with things and be apart of the world instead of escaping it somtimes. What I am trying to say is that, its good to be apart of the world, but its also good to take some time to yourself and just think about things and life, and how you are doing.

Life. Its a word that can hit a person at one thousand miles per hour. It means so much, involves so much, and can just wear a person out. Life is an experience that I definitely don't want miss out on for the fact that you only live once. I feel like I am better off getting involved with the world, rather then searching for an escape it when things get hectic. I feel like it's a necessity to keep up with everything that is going on. When I do feel overwhelmed, I still get involved by doing things that I enjoy with the people I love being with the most. Life is full over new experiences, and I am not one to miss a beat.
when i need a break from my hetic life i take a brake and go play a game. when i play a game i use it to relax and to have fun with other people. i love to play game by myself that i wanted to see a good story line. i also like to cook. i find that a nice home cooked meal alway relaxs me. when i cook i dont feel rushed and i could finnish it when ever. so in the end i think that every once in a while you should find time to escape for the world.
Life. Obviously ot means a lot its such a short word but means so much. I think for all of us life gets pretty hectic sometimes and tends to stress us all out. When my life gets hectic i go for a walk down to the lake near my house it clears my mind and its good excercise to. I usually go to the lake by myself just to get my thoughts straight i cant clear my mind if someone is with me. I personally think it is better to be a part of the world. However, it is nice to escape it every once and awhile. Escaping life by either going to a place or listening to your ipod or whatever you like to do is healthy for everyone because it relaxes most of us.
I have many ways of releaving my stress. One of the biggest ways is by playing hockey. If I have a lot on your mind then just hanging out with some of my best friends playing some hockey will let me forget all about it. With hockey you can really get into it and there isnt anything else my mind. Another way I let my mind relax is by listening to music. Theres nothing like listening to a little country and kickin back on the couch. I think that letting your mind go and escaping from the world is necessary for a little while. These are all ways that i let my mind free of stress.
