Here we are at the end of the second cardmarking. Hard to believe that it is happening this fast. I am, overall, pleased with most of the way the class has gone although I would really love to see people put in more of an effort and show what you are truly capable of.
For today, I would like you to discuss your strengths and weaknesses thus far in this class. Also, what are your goals for the next cardmarking both in my class and as a student in general. Give a letter grade goal with ways you plan to make this happen. Lastly, give any constructive feedback as to how the class could be better or my teaching style could help you more. This does not include the comment no more blogging as that will not be happening.

So far my strenghts have been getting good grades on the vocab. It really helps because its just like getting free point. Also ive done all of my blogs and that has helped a lot for my grade. My weaknesses have been doing homework and reading the stories out of the book. This cardmarkig ive been doing my homework the hour before and i havnt been working that hard. My goals for next cardmarking are to do my homework at home and also to keep up on studying for my vocab tests. I also want to keep getting an A so that I can keep my g.p.a up. I think that your teaching has been pretty good amd i really don't think you should change anything.
My main strengths outweigh the weaknesses of this class. My strengths in this class are that I am a hardworker and I participate. I think, as of right now, that is enough to hold a good grade in this class. The blog requires a little bit of work and sometimes its a pain. However, much of the time, I like doing the blog because I have a lot to say in the blogs. Another one of my strengths is the vocabulary. I have done very well on all of the vocab tests. Another one of my strengths is that I get along with people in the class and I can talk to them about homework or other things. One of my weaknesses, and it always has been one, is my writing. I have always had a tough time with writing. Another one of my weaknesses is that I have a short attention span sometimes and I get annoyed easily in Literature. For the next cardmarking I would like to increase my writing ability and my temper with Literature. I have high expectations for myself and I would like to keep an A average all year. I plan on making this happen by staying focused and improving my writing abilites. I think that the class would be better if people didn't talk as much, including me. I think that we take too much time in clas screwing around. But other than that, I have nothing.

I think one of my strengths in your class is that I do my work. One of my weaknesses would be doing really bad on vocabulary quizes. One of my goals for this class and all of my classes is trying to get a least a B or C. I would try to reach this goal by studying for vocabulary quizes. A goal for me in general would be for me to start asking more questions in all of my classes especially in math. Also, not to start studying before the last mintue. Something that help me more in the class if you can explain things a little bit better.

As every other student, whether they want to admit it or not, we all have strengths and weaknesses in class. For the most part my weaknesses are basically, my vocabulary quizzes. The main reason why I am not doing so well on them would be is that I do not study for them. I simply don't have the time, because I've been so because with other homework and other prior engagements. This term I am hoping to up my grades on this. One thing that I always have done, would be the blogs. I haven't missed one yet, I am also hoping to continue doing so next term. As for my letter grade I usually average around a B, which is what I received last term. would be very pleased if I could raise that to a A, A-. In order to be granted with this grade, I'm willing to work hard for my value paper, and also study for the vocabulary. As for your teaching skills, they are very good. I would just make things clear, such as homework, papers etc. However, you already do so, just a suggestion. Other than that, I simply do not have anything.

in this class my strength would be that i ushually do all my homework and comlete it. my weakness is that sometimes i have a hard time focusing cuz its the last hour of the day and i just wana go home. also i have trouble comprehending all the storys and poems we read. so for next cardmarking i want to definatly improve my grade in this class. In other classes i want to do the same; i want to have above a 3.0 which i almost have right now but not quite. i could do this by just studying and doing my homework more in the classes im not that doing so good in. but as far as your class i think its pretty good, i wouldnt really change anything.

I think my weaknesses are that i am not very creative when i write my papers. However my strengths are that i can word things very well and make my story more efficient. For next cardmarking I would like to put more effort into my work. I also would like to study a little better for the vocab test you put on. As far as other classes it is the same thing, just study a little harder. Hopefully my effort and attitiude towards school work will improve. I have no suggestions as to how you conduct your class, it's all on you.

My stenghts and weaknesses, well i know for sure one of my weaknesse are the vocab quizs. But besides that i am OK writer and a good reader. My goals for next cardmarking for your class would be a B+ and for a total grade i looking for all A's and B's. Also next cardmarking i am going to try and do better in spanish which is my hardest class. TO get these goals done i am going to have study for for vocab quizes and any test or quizes in spanish. I think my strenths are that I am a good problem solver. I can look at something and figure it out pretty good. I think that I am a goood worker if I do something my mind is determined I can ussaly do it. I think that my weaknesses is that to do something I have to be a bit motivevated to do it. But if it is something I want to do I have no problem. I think that In your class I would like to get a A-. I think that I could do it. I have to study more on my vocabualry and do better on the test. But my overall grade I would like to have all A. One or two Bs is ok to. I think that you should eplain a tad bit. Other than that I think you do a good job teaching. You class is funny and it doesn't suck to be on it.

Pros: Literate, translates emotion from the written word, can read 'them really big words', picks books I plan reading after Friday.
Cons: is retarded(in a figurative sense); slow; lacks interest in things that don't really matter; hates that one Alex kid with the flatulence problem because he is an ignorant pissant; has ADHD, therefor cannot think straight because my train of thought continuously crashes into giant piles of ice cream; doesn't know how to appropriately time herself with a statement that is POTENTIALLY a good laugh; thinks Into the Wild is the most ridiculous written document, and it should be burned; hates non-fiction books because they aren't interesting; likes you use unusually large words hoping to be smrt. <-LOL

ill start with my weaknesses. some are well actually i think i have a lot. To start off i have a big problem with not truning my homework or even doing it on time. Another would be reading all the stories we read in class. I absolutly hate reading, its not one of my favorite things to do in my free time. I have been getting better at vocab so i dont really know what one what would fit in probally in between. For my strengthes would be doing all the blogs, im actually really good at that. As it goes for my goals, i want to get all my homework done and turned in on time and actually do it. Also do a better job on the vocab. For your teaching style I think your a great teacher. you class is always the one i look foward to coming to its always fun.
Well, so far for me, my strengths have been the vocab and doing most of the blogs. I think I could do more with the blogs, like do all of them. And I should continue to study for the vocab quizes because that has helped me pass them every time. I think my writing skills could be better. Mine suck for the most part, and hopefully i can improve that next cardmarking. As a student in general I believe i'm doing about average, but I want to improve that next cardmarking. Hopefully I can get As and Bs instead of Bs and Cs, to get these grades I will work much harder in my classes and do all of my blogs in lit.

My strenghts are that im a good listener and pay attention pretty good. But , I am not very good at studying for tests and am pretty quiet. My goals for next card marking are to study more and be more prepared for tests. Also not to be a procrastinator. My strength's in this class are that I can write and work hard when I need to. My weekeness's are that im easily distracted and I have a hard time with grammar. My goal in this class is to have a B. Overall I want to get atleast a 3.0 gpa for all my classes. For constrictive feedback there isnt much I can say. You have done a good job so far in my opinion. If anything I would have the subs explain the vocab better when ever we have a sub.

For the past cardmarking period, my strengths have been keeping up with assignments and blogs. I first thought that doing blogs every night would be difficult and that I would forget about it often. Now that we're this far into the year, its just part of my daily routine. Another strength is that I always keep up on the reading and try to participate a good deal. One of my personal weaknesses is the vocabulary quizzes. For most people, the grades I get would be good, but I feel like anything less than 100% really isn't good enough. There really isn't an excuse for not getting a perfect grade on every quiz, so I will try to work on that next cardmarking period. Another weakness would be becoming distracted during working time. I tend to not use as much time in class usefully as I could, and I've been working on that in all my classes. I plan on working towards an A again, and I hope that the work I put into my grades will come back out equally. I personally like the class and I think that I learn well in the environment. I know what is expected of me, and do it, which is simple enough to keep up with.

Ok, so I think my biggest strengths so far in the class are definetly doing well on the vocab quizzes. I always study for those because I feel they are easy a's, and will bring up my grade a lot. Also, doing the blogs every night. I also think the blogs are easy grades, so I make sure I do the blogs every night. My weaknesses are writing papers. I dont really have that much creativity, and need to improve my writing skills. Also, reading the stories/books tht we have to read. I dont really like to read that much, so I usually just dont read what you assign. My biggest goal next cardmarking is to get all A's or B's in every class. As for your teaching skills, I think you are doing a pretty good job, and I really dont think you need to change anything.

I believe that the strengths right now in your class are I put forth real effort and I believe I follow directions. Some weaknesses I have are sometimes I might not always do my work to complete and utter full potential due to laziness but I always try. My goal in the next semester is to maintain what I am doing now. Of coarse, I will be trying harder to, well, not be lazy. My letter grade will be either a B or and A like I said to stay like it is now. In general, I hope to get working in all my classes, will still having some sense of a social life. The class could be better if had more class discussions. I like them and they usually force the people who don't do much to do something. Maybe not circle discussions, but class wide discussions. Your teaching style is fine, no needed changes. So yeah, I enjoyed this semester and the next one could be rad.

you are teaching the class just fine and there is no need for change. i think you have a good teaching style and i look forward to the class. my strengths are probably vocab and reading. i have some weaknesses in the class too. sometimes i am not the best at writing. usually my essays are in the C range. my tests are another downfall. it seems in every class i alwys do bad on tests, but not so much quizes. i think i just get nervous and doubt myself.
My strengths this far are vocab quizzes. i like words. As for my weaknesses i would say tests. My goals for next card marking in your class is to get an A. I believe i have the capability to receive an A if i try my hardest. In other classes i just hope to achieve the best grade i can. I'm hoping to get all A and A- I'll just plan to make sure i understand all if the material. your doing great, two thumbs up.

I believe that my strengths in this class is that I turn in all my work, allowing me to get a good grade in the class. My weaknesses are that I put off studying for the vocab test so i normally don't do my best. My goal in your class is to get better grades on my vocab test. As a student I want to keep up my grades and do much better in spanish. I would like a A in your class. I plan to do this by keeping to turn in all my work and do better on quizes. I actually like your teaching skills because you dont tell us step by step which takes forever and gets really boring. You get to the point and dont drag class out so stick to that way. However, i think that it would be better to make what is due the next day clearer.

I will start off with my weaknesses. I normaly will do my homework but I seem to have a hard time turning it in. I dont know if its because im lazy or just not as motivated as I should be. Like my parents say I should turn in my assignments because some credit is better than no credit. My strengths would be my blogs and my vocab. I have not missed a blog in a a good wile...and plan to keep it this way. My vocab has been good, Mostly because I study for the tests.
Overall I would like to get a B or higher next cardmarking. I plan on doing this by focusing on my assignments.
One thing I think might help in the class would be if you could explain things to us a little better. I understand most things but some projects and assignments are a little blured up. Other than that I think this class is fun.

In your class I really want to get an A or B. I know that in order to achevie this I would really have to do all of my work and study for the vocab quizzes better. I would also need to study for any possible test we have. In your class though I think that I am doing well with doing my work(like work sheets and ect.) What I'm not doing so good at is studying, except that quick 30 second glance right before the quiz on my vocab. I also need to work on putting more effort in becuse i know that i'm not. So far i have had a couple strenghts in your class. First of all i have done all the blogs except maybe 2. Also, i have been getting good grades on my vocad quizzes, which when you combine the two are the reason why i have an A in your class. Anothe thing is i have done pretty much all the work that is due for that day. For example i turely didn't work that hard the two days you were at camp but on tuesday night i put my mind to it and got the paper done which i think was a pretty good rough draft. One weakness i have is not really reading on silent reading days besides a couple i have been staring off in space which might hurt me in the future. My goal for your class is get a good grade on the Into th Wild essay we are currently doing, and keep up doing the blogs. My goal for all my other classes is to get above a B in all of them and at least 4 A because it is basketball season and to do that without a study hall type thing would be very good. Now for your teaching techniques....i think they are very good with this being your first year teaching 10th grade in a while i think you are doing just fine. Plus you are helping students get good grades and sometimes giving them a different chance at doing something.

My strengths of this class are understanding the concepts and being able to apply them to my work. I am also good at the reading part of the class, but not the writing. I have never been a good writer and one of my goals is to improve that with this class. I would say that is my greatest weakness of the class. For next card marking my goals are to stay focused and to study more for tests and quizzes. I hope to receive an A in this class and I plan on making that happen by working to my fullest potential, which I have been doing on and off during the year. As for any constructive criticism, I don't have anything in mind. You cleared up the confusion I had on how to write our paper so I have no complaints.
I think that my strengths were in the class would be aksing questions. My class knows that I am good at asking questions. They all know that it gets to the point that i get annoying. The reason that I ask so many questions is that it is hard to comprehen in this class. My weakness are everything else in the lass. I know what I need to do. My goal is to get a good grade. I am really going to work hard.
I believe overall I have more strengths in this class then weaknesses. Some of my strengths are my blogs I think this part of the class has really improved my grade for this marking period. I also think the consequences for missing a blog has helped me make sure I get blog done every night. As far as weaknesses I could have done much better on the vocab quiz's. However I believe have been doing much better on those near the end of this marking period. For next marking period I would like to receive a B or higher. If I were Mr. Kay I would not change anything as far as teaching style. I like the laid back style of teaching you bring to the class. I also think it is great to learn the process of writing a paper slowly because I can really tack my time to write a great paper.

My weaknesses are The reading part. Writing papers as well. I think my biggest problem with that is that i dont really like to read unless im choosing the book. And im not a very good writter. I have a hard time understand the concepts of the whole paper thing. Some of my strengths are i can do well on the vocab if i put forth the effort to, and i can listen well, if i dont get distracted. One of my goals in this class are to, get my grade up to at least a B and keep it there. I think your teaching technques are good, I dont think you need to change anything.
As of now, my school work in your class has been good. With a few exceptions, im doing well on vocabulary. However, im also really happy with how i am doing on my blogs. I've gotten really good grades on them and are getting more comfortable submitting a good peice every night. Weaknesses, are definately found in my tests and projects. I really didnt put as much time into my Walden society as i wanted. For my next card marking i would like to make sure i get all a's on my vocab and that i do better on all projects if i need to do anyone. I want to get a forsure A next card marking. This card marking was very busy and crazy, but i hope next wilkl be a little less stressfull and get a better grade. Lastly, i really enjoy myself in your class and i think its been alot of fun, and im learning alot.

My strengths in this class are vocabulary, doing blogs, writing, and not procastinating. My weaknesses are worksheets for homework, grammar, and reading. I also hate presenting or doing anything in front of the class. I don't like our literature text books and I'm just going to put it out there that grammar sucks. My goals for the next semester are to Have a high, steady grade and acheive and maitain a 4.0. In your class I want to get better at organizing so I know what I need to do something, and so far I am doing much better at that. A+ 100, yeah I can do that I just have to stay updated with everything that's due and try not to be absent so much. My constructive criticism for the class is to reduce the use of our literature text books and completely stop doing presentations. : ) With the blog, I have little problems with, I'm not trying to be a suck up, but blogging has made me a better writer and it's easy. I also don't struggle with getting my thoughts out on paper when I do an essay anymore.

So far my strenghts have been doing my blogs. I do them every night and they help my grade a ton. Some of my weaknesses are not studying for vocab as much as I need to. I also dont read the stories out of the books that I know I need to know in order to contribute to class discutions. My strengths in this class I think is vocabulary most of the time.I try to study as much as I can so that I can do good. My weakness is definitly the blog. I sometimes forget to do it but on weekends I am usually up north hunting and do not have access to a computer. Next period I would like to achieve a B+ or higher. I feel that I am capable of getting at least that in your class. There isn't really anything you can do because you are doing your part as a teacher and it is us as students to remember the blogs and study or quizzes
I think that when I am into the subject, I add some great ideas to the discussions. My weakness is keeping my concentration on one subject. My goals for Language Arts and all my classes are to have all my assignments complete and turned in on time. The grade that I would like is to have a B+ or higher. First, to get this grade, I have to turn in all my blogs and assignments completed and on time. Second, I will study for my tests and quizzes. Lastly, I will be prepared for class daily.

my strengths and weaknesses in your class so far this year are: well i have to say that im getting better and doin my work, but i am not truely showing what i am capable of, so that would be my weakness. I am getting better at studying for the vocab and i am pleased of my grades on those, but not in the class overall, and i understand why it is what it is. i think the blogging at times can be really fun. so i wouldn't change that. i think some people could be a lot more considerate of others, as i hear some people in class calling me anmes sometimes, and its always outside of your room when it happens mr. kay.
i have the strength that i 99% of the time, i get the material, and that i do the homework, but there are a few things that i just do not get how to od. like: describing how a main character might feel in that certain situation.
i think that type of question can be irrelevant, because, honestly, it is an opinion question, and while i do like giving my opinion, i cant tell what a character might do in any given situation , because i am not them, and i can not make their choice.
no one can ever be right or wrong on some things, which arguably does make me mad on some questions. some times it helps to have definitive yes or no questions.
i want to achieve a c+ or better in your class, because when that is average, i know i am above average, and i can do so much better. i jst need to ask more questions, and seek more answers.

In general i find my self to be a very intellengent person overall. So far hroughout this class i find myself to be under achieving. One positive i do see is that im now participateing in projects and am studying for any upcoming vocasbulary tests. I personnaly feel as if im not pusing my self to the grade in which i can get. My goals for the up coming card marking are to complete all assignments on time and study for every test possible. I wish to get on my normal grade track and recieve above a 3.4. For the upcoming class of literature i hope to recieve at least a B. To be honest with you Mr. Kay there is nothing more you could do for me. Your a great teacher that gives me every opportunity in life to succeed. And i believe im not taking the oportunities. Now it is just up to me to get the grades and put my help forward.

I think my strongest goal in this class is me completeing my blogs. That isnt much to say but its a good thing. I think I have only missed 3 or 4 so im doing good on that. Another strength of mine is me wanting to learn. It may not seem like it sometimes but I really want to learn more stuff in this class because it is one of badder classes. I need to learn to this because I have always struggled in language arts. A weakness of mine is my writing and reading abilities. I am not the greatest writer and that is one thing I need to improve on. I know I can read more and I should. I need to try and read and comprehend what I read. So far this year I have been greatly slacking and I need reorganize my priorities. I don't do most of my blogs on time and I know that hurts my grade and I cant afford to lose any points. I dont really think I have a strength in your class, I take too long to wright a paper and I don't discuss very well on the books we read. But I do think on some of my blogs I do a good job. I would really like to get a B in your class. I think you do a wonderful job at teaching. You should change anything about your class. Even though I am not that great in your class its my favorite.

My strengths for this class are keeping up to date with my work. I always try to do things on time and never turn them in late. I believe if you stay on top of your work ytou will be more successful. My weaknesses are these blogs. I hate these blogs but if it gets me the grade im gonna try to do them. My goals for this class are to minimize the missed blogs. my goals as a student is too get a 3.8 this semester. I plan on getting an A in thi8s class simply by doing my work with a good quality. I think the teaching style is good, i like how your ammusing and crack jokes, it lets the class relax but when its time for buisness you dont mess around.

Some of my strengths in this class are turning everything in. I think that is key to my success in every class as well. You cannot have any zeros in the gradebook. I am very pleased with this class. It is one that you can look forward too everyday. As far as weaknesses, well I think i could improve my writing skills. Mr goals for next cardmaking is too work hard and pass all my finals. I wanna make my grade in here an A instead of a A-. Your teaching has been good and i wouldnt change much.

My strength in this class would have to be getting all of my work done. So far I have turned everything in on time. My main weakness would have to be the vocab quizzes. Most of the time it doesn't give me a hard time but on the weeks where I get lazy and wait to study at the last minute is when I have problems. A letter grade goal I would like to get in this class would have to be an A. Right now im averaging about a B+ in hear but I would like my GPA to go up. Really I have nothing to say about teaching style or anything that needs to be changed. If it was about some other students that would be a different story.

First off, sorry Mr. Kay for the lateness as I was up north hunting all weekend. I sent you an email explaining it all on Friday. I got home as soon as possible so here it goes...
So far, in this clss my strengths are getting all my work done and putting all my effort into thinking about topics. I also get good grades on the vocab quizes and do my blog almost every night. As for my weaknesses, I need to study for your tests more. I also need to try to conprehend what I read in the stories out of the book. I hope to get an A again this maeking period and plan to work hard work to get there. I do not feel you need to change your teaching style. If I am having a problem, I should do my best to solve it.
i think i am trying hard on vocab quizzes and getting assignments in on time. my biggest weakness is blogs. i always forget. i think you should stop doing blogs, because doing it everyday i believe, is too much. i would rather journal in class a few days a week. i think you are doing a good job teaching. i hope to get a B or better next term. i should study more next term.

I'm so sorry for the lateness. When I went to go do the blog on saturday afternoon before the show, my internet was down. We have comcast and have had a lot of problems with the internet working all the time lately. I didn't get home until 1 in the morning and was gone all day today. So sorry.
Anyway, my strengths and weaknesses. One of my strengths is getting my blogs done on time except for this one. I'm not really a language arts person, but I manage good grades. In a lot of my other classes I do better because I understand the material and it makes sense to me. My weaknesses are things like paying attention in class and comprehending a lot of the things that we read. I have a really hard time focusing and sitting still. I need to work on that as well as thinking about what were reading and not zoning out. I guess I could participate a little more too if I understood the stuff better. Your teaching is good.
