I read the Oakland Press newspaper every day for my Journalism class and there is a topic I would like to write about. A main topic that has been in the newspaper for many days is the $25 billion bailout the Big Three auto companies are pleading for from Congress. General Motors stated that the company could collapse in weeks with Chrysler right behind. Ford Motor Co. said that it could last only past the end of this year. The bailout is on stand-by in the Senate because Congress does not want to use $25 billion from the recent $700 billion dollar bailout. This effects all of us because the auto industry is a major factor in Michigan's economy. We know of many people who work for the auto industry, and if one of the auto companies were to fail, it is estimated that 2.5 million jobs would be lost in the US. I feel that this problem has been going on for too long and Congress should step up and help put the auto industry back on its feet.
For this evening, I would like you to pick one current event from a newspaper or from the internet and discuss why this event is topical and your take on the event. Be thorough and mention the source that you used in your discussion.
I think that the topic event i will choose is the auto company bail out. I thinks its a real joke that all those C.E.O.'s cant give up 1000 dollars of their multi billion dollar salary. From what i hear the big three are running very low on money. Now they want the government to give them 25 billion dollars. Why cant people who are making a multiple billion dollars a year only except some of it and use some of their own money to help the funds. As they were gathered in washington yesterday they were rideculed by the government. I dont think that anyone would just give out money if the people who are in need arent trying to make any personal cuts to get through.
Oh sorry i saw it on channel four when i got home today.
I read the article "Democratic leaders demand business plan before auto aid vote," from the detroit free press. This article is basicly about how the democrats kicked the bail out bill for the auto industry. This would provide them with 25 billion dollars to keep them from going bank rupt. The bill was kicked out until dacember 2nd because teh plan wasnt detailed enough with its business plan. This event is topical because the auto indistry is failing and needs the money to keep from going bank rupt. I believe the bail out should continue because if the big three auto industries were to go bank rupt the economy would becom even worse. The government needs to help out more.

A current event that I pick out from the Oakland Press is property values fall countywide. The values of property dropped significantly across the county in the past year. The county assessors said sales studies show average values dropped in all the county's 52 local taxing jurisdictions. The countywide average decline is 9.4 percent. The county used a one year study of sales from October 1,2007 through Steptember 20, 2008.
I think if property values are going down then they should lower property taxes. I think that because property taxes are based on the value of your property.

Well as anyone could think, I'm interested in the economy. There is a bailout of the big 3 $25 billion. I'm thinking "eehhhh" because the economic system depends on the value of money and the amount of goods. Anyone paying attention in Mr. Mohr's class knows what happens when the government puts more money than goods, inflation. The Senate is apprehensive, Congress dislikes the $700 billion bailout. The big 3 state that if congress doesn't help soon, the economy will be paralyzed. Innumerable amount of jobs will be lost and that itself will affect everyone else. Someone loses a job, one less pizza sold form dolly's every 3 weeks, less groceries the economy REALLY might be paralyzed. However, the Big 3 HAVE help screw up the economy as well, if they fall, hopefully different auto-companies(American) will crawl out of this depressing time.

The topic i am going to talk about is that of the five detainees where justed freed from Guantánamo Bay. I just don't get how the goverment could hold people from all around the world with so little evidence proving they did something. Why should it be "ok" to hold someone in prison in there but not on the mainland of the United States. The aricle says that the men where held at the prison for seven years!, what a long time if they couldn't prove anything they should have released them. Think about the familys of these people back in their home country not knowing when or if they will ever come back home. I think that the people there should be there alteast most of them, but they don;t get the civil rights they should get. I found this at (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/21/us/21guantanamo.html?em) and the article also says that President-elect Barack Obama has promised to close the prison.

In my journalism class I read the Oakland Press everyday, and there is a topic that really seemed interesting to me. It is about Pontiac closing half of its schools. This article really jumped out at me because, the kids in the schools will have to transfer to other schools, and the district will lose most of the programs and activities after school. This event had to do with financial issues, so they are downsizing buildings to achieve finacial stability and improve instructional programs and student achievments. Considering how horrible the economy is right now, I think it played a big role in this event. The district is also worried about the safety of the students, when two rival schools are merged together in the transition. I dont think that they will end up going through with the plan because, it will be too big of a hassle for the students and the board to deal with.

i read a online insert from cnn website. i read about the crisis in the gm plant. it says the gm plant has hit a all time low since the great deppression. GM's shares dropped to $1.70 as hope fades that automakers could get financial bailout from Congress before Thanksgiving. That marked the company's lowest share price since June 4, 1938. I feel that this is horrible in the sense that all those people are not going to have a job to work at. also that this is a sign that our country is going into another depression i feel.

My dad works at Chrysler as a pipefitter which is why the topic I am picking is the Auto companies or "The Big 3." I think it is bullcrap that all of the C.E.O's are getting their million dollar bonuses while the rest of the company is losing money. Why should these people be getting extra money if the company is on the verge of shutting down. This effects Michigan more than other states because Michigan is known as The Motorcity. If Chrysler and GM do shut down, millions of people will be out of jobs. I just think that if Chrysler is giving multi-million dollar bonuses that they should be putting that money towards the company to try and keep it from shutting down. I got a lot of this info from the newspaper and some from my dad.

Ins been on the newpaper for a while now its the idea of same sex marriages. in california they wanted to pass a law stating that gay marriage were going to be legal. They didnt no what they were going to whether they wanted to pass it or not. This law would allow gay's to get married. I think this would be a good thing because love is love. It really doesnt matter who you love. Its the freedom to love who you want to love.

The money for the "Big Three" is the current event that I am doing. This is what is really making news all over the country. I have seen the first debate over the 25 billion dollar buyout everywhere. This buyout I think will make or break many jobs in the U.S. Although this bill will present many people with money for jobs, it is only a matter of time until the money runs out. America's economy is going further and further down and the government has main that a point. It is for sure that the automakers will die out because of the money supply. We keep shipping our jobs and money to China and Japan and we really don't get too much out of that. My take on this is that we really do need the bailout plan because it will help the American economy a little. If the government is too hard on the automakers, then why are we shipping money to Iraq. We need to focus more on our economy and less on other countries. America should be the top priority and not third world countries or countries that have the potential to rise to power. I found this story all over the news and in the newspaper. (Oakland Press)

I looked up a current event on the internet at msnbc.com. I found this interesting article (not really =]) about how Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his counterparts in 12 states and regional leaders signed a declaration Wednesday promising to work together to stop global warming. He said that "this move will help push heads of state to curb their nations' greenhouse gas emissions." I honestly don't know how well this is going to work. Hopefully it goes very well. But no one knows anymore.

Mr.Kay,
I found an article on Forclosure bailout on the cnn website. I think this is a very big topic right now because some people don't know it is a good use of the government money. Other people( like the ones who would get the help) think that it's a good way to get help keeping their home in these hard times. In my opinion i think that this is a good idea. One becuse I know that if I was really haveing a hard time keeping my home and I couldnt support myself i wouldnt have a problem if congress wanted to step in and help. Two is that it's not just one person that their doing this for it's for alot of people that need help. I think this kind of goes along with yeaterdays blog on giving to people or maybe it was tuesdays. But, I think that giving to people who honestly need it isnt a waste of money or anything. It's also like that blog we did on giving to someone in hopes they would do the same. If we help one person with there home hopefully they will do the same in some way or another.

I was looking through a popular science magazine which talked about saving energy and alternate energy sources. It talked about the first sky scraper to integrate large-scale wind turbines. This means that two identical towers have wind turbines attached between them to produce energy. The towers are called the Bahrain World Trade Center. My take on this is that, its a great way to produce energy for a building, which the turbines produce 15 percent of the towers electricity. This is topical because its our future of alternate energy and how to save energy. We are in a time peroid of looking for new ideas for energy and this is a great example.

I feel the biggest topic would be the "Big three". These companies want to be bailed out from congress. They want 25 billion dollars to help them through there crises. Without this money they would be done with by the end of the year. I feel that this is a loose-loose situation. Without these companies we would loose many jobs making our economy worse for some people. If they get the money some of it will come from our taxes and of course would make economy bad. I think those C.E.O's need to spend some of there monay so they can save there own asses instead of making it harder for us.
Moving forward: Whether black or white, both dream of better future for America (from detnews.com)
this article relates to what we are working on in class. it connects with into the wild and american values. it is about the american dream and how it is the most common one. people want to succeed in life and do their best. most people desire the nice job, good house, friendly neighborhood, and the ultimate family. in this article i think they worried about something that really matters. they cared about their families and how they would earn enough money for thier children's educations.
i read an article in the Fremont Tribune online. The article was about Today being the 33rd annual Great American Smokeout. The article focused on dangers of smoking and its addiction. I think that it is an important article so people can be informed. The article was about finding help to quit and different activities to replace it. Non-smoking doesn't apply to everyone, but second hand smoke does. Second hand smoke is even worse because it is unfiltered. I believe it is important for non-smokers and smokers to band together and stop smoking.

Honestly I dont think their is anything else to talk about besides the auto industry. for the past year this is all we have been hearing on the news. If we do not get this bill passed then we can say good bye to the auto industry and good bye to the country we live in. the auto industry is the heart of American, it was really one of the big starts to the industrial revolution. It makes me angry to hear that the head guys in Washington arent willing to give anything up to help the auto industry. We need this passed now or it might be to late. The auto shows are decreasing each year and it is hurting our economy even more each day. I have gotten most of my information from watching channel 7.

the current even i have picked is about the "big three"(GM, Chrystler, Ford). this is a highly relevant topic considering we are in michigan and a big part of our economy is based on the auto industry. the article i found was called "The big three failure and U.S. auto making" written by Catherine rampell. one of the huge reasons for this 'failure' is that the american companys are still paying pensions for thier retired workers. it mostly boils down to our workers are older, where as foriegn auto makers, such as toyota, honda, and nissan have a younger work force. the high cost of fuel has also been an impact on the US car companies becuase their whole persona revolves around these big SUVs and trucks. so the main reason for the big threes failure is money and their inability to adapt to a changing economy.

I read an article from the oakland press. it talked about how pontiac school district might close half of its schools. this will provide them with more financial stability. also it will improve instructional programs. but i also think this may be a bad idea. i say this because pontiac is pretty crowded. so if half the schools close, the schools will become more populated and packed. this would make it so classes are bigger, and there is less one-on-one time.

Auto Bailout: Whats next?
The big three are asking for a bail out. They want money so that there bussiness doen't go completly bankrupt and then go under. So far it sound like congress will not be able to aprove there 25 billion dollar bailout. If the big three goes under many people will be in trouble. US auto companies employ nearly a quarter million worker and more than 730,000 material and parts makers. All these people will be losing there jobs. They can get there bailout from the 700 billion wall street rescue fund. We can only hope that the bailout is apoved so so many jobs will not be lost.

The current event I have chosen is the War in Iraq. I heard on the news the other day that we signed a paper saying that American troops will be sent home. All American troops are schedled to leave the middle east by 2011 and come back home. I am very glad to hear that all of our soldiers are going to come home soon. One reason why the economy is doing so bad is because Bush keeps sending money over to the middle east and not spending any here in the US. Yet again we are still sending more troops over there when they not even need anymore. I think it is about time we got out of their becasue we are doing nothing but wasting time. I am just glad that we have some assurance that the war is going to end soon.

On cnn.com i found and article about the big three auto company. It said that the big 3 auto auto CEOs flew out private jets to bailout money. And the article stated that Alan Mulally of Ford and Robert Nardelli of chrysler &Richard Wagoner of GM were seeking support for a 25 billion loan package. Later on wednesday, nov 19, senate majority leader harry reid made plans to vote about all this. and an aide told cnn that reid decided to cancel the vote, bc they would fall short 60 votes. but they ended up votin on compromise. But then, they brought up the private jet issue. the companies did not disclose how much the flights cost. but im really confused about all this, and its possible that my dad will lose his job..its really scary.

I have been online at comast.net and recently have seen a picture of gas prices falling. I think this is a big deal because even with the stock market not doing good at least something is. Also, gas has been under $2 for a decent amount of time for it to stay at. Plus even if it goes to a couple cents over $2 it is a lot better than coming close to $3 dollars. Another thing is this is good for all people but expecially the people that have truck. I mean they get like what, 20 miles to the gallon and having prices low will let truck drivers keep driving thier big trucks. Last is this is some what good for car compinies if it can stay this low because then they can sell more trucks and not always little cheap cars.

In Journalism class I read the Oakland Press. On article that really jumped out at me was "Detroit 3 plead for billions to survive." by Julie Hirschfeld Davis. The automakers are asking Congress for a $25 billion lifeline. Millions would be laid off if this doesnt pass and the automakers collapes. Honesty, Michigan really needs this. Our whole economy basically basis itself on the autocompanies. Michigan's economy is already really bad, so if this doesn't pass, we will be in major trouble. I think that if Congress believes that the Wallstreet bailout was important to make those rich people even more rich, then they should defiantly want to bailout a state that is depending on this full of a whole bunch of working class people.

I was listeninig to 89x on the radio today and they were having a discussin on the 3 C.E.O.'S of GM. All three of the company members flew to Washington D.C., they needed to beg the government for $10-12 million to save their company. Meanwhile they took a flight on their own private company-made jet that costed about $20,000, a first class flight would cost only over $2,000 (both roundtrip). This just made me really angry when I found this out because I know that the recession is hurting everybody, but they can't cut their's a little bit? Those men make about $28 million dollars yearly, I would be ecstatic if I made $1 million dollars. Do you realize how many cars you'd have to sell every year just to pay those guys'? They need to cut their salary and raise their employees salary because a company's reputation is not the only thing endangered in our slopeing economy. The other day I was watching the news( NBC news) with my family at dinner when I heard there was piracy off the coast of Africa. A large ship was over taken by a small group of armed men. The men were armed with AK-47 and Rocket launchers. When I herd this I couldn't believe there were still pirates. I mean you see them in the movies but I didn't think they still existed. Its bad enough that the ship go taken over but even worse no body is doing anything to stop them. I don't understand why the army just send in a couple of jets and blow them to pieces. If they don't do that they could always send in submarines and surprise attack them. I think that technological warfare has come way to far to have a small group of pirates overtake a large ship like this.

Mr. Kay,
Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys recently did a really good deed. When he went to see a movie, he saw a homeless man on the side of the street. He then offered the man a movie ticket into the theatre. The man of course said yes and spent the rest of the night with Tony Romo. The reason i thought that this was such an important event is because many people think that millionares are above everyone else, when they have compassion just like every other person in the world. He showed that just such a simple good deed can receive so much publicity and can impact so many people. I saw this on ESPN the worldwide leader in sports!!

Even though economic times are hard these day, I saw an article about the Senate passing a bill to increase unemployment benefits by seven weeks in every state. It also calls for a 13 week extension for states with an unemployment rate of at least 6 percent. Now, this angers me very much. I think many people today do not work hard enough. Too many people see that the government is giving handouts and decide to stop working at all. The democrats (not to point fingers) are fine with this and want to push bill through Congress (Congress is dominated by democrats). The number of people filing for unemployment reached a 16year high. This money shoulfd be used for other more meaningful things, instead of helping lazy people get money. I am mad about this because such money is taken through taxes from the wealthy clss who worked hard for their money.

Mr. Kay,
I read the Oakland Press and found a current event that has been on the news lately. The topic I choose was "Property values fall countywide". It says the "property values dropped significantly across the county in the past year and taxable values that generate money for local government operations are likely to follow in many communities." I think that people are goint to have a really hard time trying to sell there houses because one: the economy is really bad right now. Two: no one is buying houses right now, and three: people just don't have the money to buy houses right now. The Oakland Press states that "the average values dropped in all the county's 52 local taxing jurisdictions, from 2.79 percent in Rose Township to 22.5 percent in Lathrup Village." This economy we are living in right now has a troubled future coming if the economy doesn't starighten up!

I beleive that this is crap. These executives already have millions of dollars but they have to go and ask for more? That don't make sence. These executives are being very selfish. They are getting passed up by foreign automobile companies so they feel they have to get more money to do better. That is dumb. Instead of making more cars quickly they should make less cars with more quality so people will want to buy thier cars. The foreign countries are being transendental and building their cars qith more quality.

The event I choose is the automotive industry bail out. If the bail out fails it will cripple Michigan. It not only affects Michigan it also affects the rest of the United States. It does not just affect the big three but it directly affects the other industries like car dealerships and part manufacturers. Let us not forget the millions of automotive employees losing their jobs. If Congress does not pass the bailout, they are going to let the companies go bankrupt. The auto companies might not be able to give the employees all their money for their pensions and health care. The crisis is relevant. This will directly affect my family. So, I hope they will make the right decision and choose on the bailout.
When browsing the art on FurAffinity[dot]net, I found a peice of work done by *name withheld*(BlondeFoxy) called Quiznos Coyote. Just like the title implies, it was a olive coyote with the Quiznos colors in it's fur. ^-^
The artist's comments have a link that leads to the ABC website with a story on a coyote that wandered into a Downtown Chicago Quiznos and hopped into the refreshment cooler! People thought it was funny, crazy, and some thought downright cute, but it was one of the first incidents of animal 'invasion' in America.
"From coyotes in Central Park to 300-pound black bears wading in backyard swimming pools and wandering suburban neighborhoods, wild animals are on the loose and looking for food.
The dangers are obvious. In California, the number of mountain lion attacks has increased. Deer are also creating chaos; one made its way into a Pennsylvania bank.
"It looked like a baby deer, but apparently it was pretty strong the way it crashed through that window," Pittsburgh police Officer Cheryl Watson said.
These instances are much more than just curiosities. There were more than 1.5 million car accidents involving deer last year -- claiming hundreds of human lives."-ABC NEWS.

For my current like many others I've picked the Chrysler bailout. In other words "The Big Three". This event would effect us all in a way, because this is motor company is a big part n your society and economy. The company has started to fall to the ground, unfortunately. From what I've been seeing/hearing for the past few days is that the company is running short on money, which is bad. Many people work for this company, so many jobs will be lost with this cause. The estimate has come to be about 205 million jobs. This problem has gone on for to long, people shouldn't be losing there jobs like this, it's a disgrace. That's all some people have as an income, and now it's gone. Someone needs to step up, and do something about this issue and soon, before this problem grows to a hight level.

I went onto yahoo to check the news and one that struck me was the one about the big 3 bailout. I was watching something on the news about it earlier this week. They said they wouldn't give money to the big 3 until they showed a good reason. I think they should give it to them because in Michigan that is a major part of work in the state. Well at one point it was until the economy fell. Since the amount of lay offs the amount of americains looking for jobs has rose above 10 million. If they the bill pases it could help the whole americain economy and Michigans also give people jobs . It is estimated if just ONE of the auto companies were to go of business it would unemploy an estimated 2.5 million amercains. That would pout more people in poverty. It would also hurt the econ more becuase there would be less money flow.

Although many people have probably already discussed this topic, I read about the Big Three's economic crisis. I found an article from the San Francisco Chronicle (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/b/a/2008/11/20/nov05election-dems_turn_defen.DTL&type=politics). They are pleading Congress for a $25 billion bailout plan to be passed. Congress is not so much for this plan, as the Big Three are using $2 billion every month without any success. It seems as if more and more people are losing their jobs, and in turn, their homes, cars, and stable lifestyles. Almost all middle or lower-class people are struggling right now. My dad is an engineer, so this topic directly affects my family. If he were to lose his job, we would have no source of income. I believe that Congress should do as much as possble to get the Big Three back to a slightly stable area. If they can start to make money, they will slowly pay off the debt. No matter what, we are going to have a major amount of debt anyway, so why not try to help out hard-working Americans the best we can?

While i was watching the news today, all they talked about was the $25 billion bail out for the Big Three Auto companies. The Big Three Auto companies are General motors , Chrysler and Ford Motor co. These companies are wanting congress to pass a $25 billion dollar bail out plain. Mitt Romney said on the news today that he thinks they should announce bankruptcy and then get rid of some jobs to get back on their feet. And then maybe take them back when there stable again. I agree with this statement , because although some people would loose their jobs , it wouldn't be as much as if everyone who worked for these companies lost their jobs. I think it is rediculous that they want $25 billion dollars when they are already getting $2 billion every month. They are acting like this is just play money, because that is a lot of money. America already has billions and billions of dollars of debt and this wouldn't help it any more.

As i read through the Detroit news from a couple days ago i noticed an article talking about gas prices. Personaly i find the gas prices these days to be rediculous. Everwere you go you can now find unleaded fuel for under $1.90 a gallon. Many people think of this as a jackpot but many are reading between the lines and doing research on there stock. And thats the problem with good things is theres always atleast one bad thing. Suchas this situation. As gas prices get lower and barrels are sold cheeper gas goes down. and as gas goes down the economy gets worst and our stock goes down. When our stock goes down, the price per share goes down meaning that your only making so much now comparewd to what you originally made per share.

Today on the radio I heard about the auto industries asking congress for money. They are asking for $25 billion to help out, when they flew private jets to Washington. I picked this becasue i think they are blowing money that the economy needs. Its bad enough already, but if they get this money our taxes will go up. I think this will turn out really bad since our economy is already down the drain. Also, the main people in the industries arent suffering at all. It seems like all the workers are losing money.

To me topics like these are very important, they show us how stupid and selfish people really are. We have people DYING out there, children! And we barely even try to help. Actually, we have children dying here in the U.S. and we don't do anything. There are kids dying all over the world, and I know if everyone really tried we could prevent that. Mr. Kay, I don't like people :/. This article states the following. "Haiti – The 5-year-old teetered on broomstick legs — he weighed less than 20 pounds, even after days of drinking enriched milk. Nearby, a 4-year-old girl hung from a strap attached to a scale, her wide eyes lifeless, her emaciated arms dangling weakly.
In pockets of Haiti accessible only by donkey or foot, children are dying of malnutrition — their already meager food supply cut by a series of devastating storms that destroyed crops, wiped out livestock and sent food prices spiraling." We could help those children. We could give them medical care, but do we? Oh we are working on it. Within the next few months after they have all died we MIGHT get to it. Yeah people are so friggin stupid omg. Alright done ranting.

I watch the news each evening with my parents. The one topic that never seems to get old is gas prices. Lately they have been getting lower but not to long ago they were very high. People these days with the economy how it is can not afford these high gas prices. While all the talk a few weeks ago was how gas is ridiculous, all the talk has seemed to shift. It has shifted to gas prices are going down and it is great. Hopefully they stay low so at least something in this economy is a relief.
Mr. Kay,
There is plenty of talk about the automotive business in Detroit. I have found an article talking about the latest in the "BIG 3". Chrysler is expecting bankruptcy because operating costs are very high along with other necessary costs. They say they might not have enough money to send give to suppliers. This means that suppliers either will stop shipping parts and stop associating with the business, or demand payment.Overall this means a lot. One this means a possible losing of one of the big 3. Soon it could be the major 2 or something. Also if it does shut down, that means a loss of jobs and a worse economy after a while. Lastly it could affects me personally. My father works at Chrysler and if he lost his job, our family would be going through harder times. That's is all I have to say about this topic of Chrysler.

The current event that I found was from Yahoo news. The article was about Obama nominating Hillary Clinton for secretary of state. This event is important because Obama and Clinton were running against each other and now are working together. My take on this issue is that they will get it all figured out and we really shouldn't worry about it for a little while. The article was discussing whether or not Clinton would accept the nomination. Another thing it said was that she might be too independent to handle the job. Overall this was a good article and it raised new questions and ideas about the upcoming presidental term.
"The Big 3." is what i picked to talk about. This has caused a 25 billion dollar buyout everywhere. I dont really think its far that all of the C.E.O's workers who are getting their million dollar bonuses while the rest of the company is losing their money. I dont think these pople should be geiing extra money if the company is on the verge of shutting down. I would think this would effect michigan the most. For the most part i think this would brake jobs. Although this bill will present many people with money for jobs, it wont be long until the our money runs out. Everyday the economy is going down, what happens to all thoes people who work for car compines, there will be millions with our jobs.
I was looking up on aol for a story to write about and I found one about a greenbay packer player whos father was beaten by police. Donald Driver's father was hospitalized after getting beaten for getting a ticket for outstanding traffic tickets. Driver's father claimed he was elbowed in the throat and hit a lot. His father is now doing alright but he is still hooked up to a ventilator at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center. I don't like how the police think they are so much better than everyone els and how they think they can do what they want. Sure the police protect us but sometimes they take their control way to far. This is a serious issue because we need to do something about corrupt cops that hurt people like Driver's father. So far no one has been charged or arrested but we can only hope that the person or persons responsible for this tragidy can be brought to justice.

I hear all the time on the news about Gas prices. You always seem to hear about gas prices. It never ever gets old. Lately the price of gas has being going down. Not to long ago they were very high. People these days with the economy how it is can not afford gas prices that are so high. Everyone has been complaining that they have been so high. So hopefully they stay low, and don't go up ridiculously high.

PLEASE TEXT ME WHEN YOU GET THIS ABOUT MY ABILITY TO FINISH THE FRIDAY BLOG ON TIME.
On sunday it is Miley Cyrus's sweet 16. She had a party at Disneyland. Earlier in the month. I think that it is so ridiculous. She does not need Micky Mouse at her birthday. I think that I am so upset because I hate her. Sorry hate is a strong word. Ok so I dislike her. All in all she is a spoiled little brat.
the detroit free press, article, Obama: the next president of the united states.
it is very close to me, because me and a friend had ben bickering for ages about who would win, and i won. but we would be very serious most of the time when we talked about politics. i am glad we elected a black man as the president of the free world, and i am glad we did not continue in or racist ways. i think it shows that this country has changed since some 50 years ago. not even that long ago. to elect a man of different color in a very white country shows that we do have hope in someone, and that we can overcome the obstacle of racial prejudice, and we are getting there.
Mr. Kay,
I read an article today about the 2010 ford mustang. The article said that it came at a perfect time. The auto industry has been down for a couple of years obviously. It says that the mustang should give the regional economy a boost. Ford Chief Executive Alan Mulally said that he is excited about the new mustang and what it will bring. The new mustang should provide Ford with $540 million at the time the company is doing everything it can to raise cash because of the crisis in the nation’s financial system. It allows Ford and Mazada to contiune with its strategic plan relationship in the best intrest for both. The car is expected to be introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show. This article was in the Oakland Press.
