Today's discussion was very good I thought. I really want you to think of where we would be as individuals if the transcendelist movement had not come into existance. We might just follow the path set for us because we would know no difference. How sad that would be.

I think that an individualist is a person that doesn't care about what other people think about them. They dance to their own drum figuratively speaking. Individualists have their own perspective on everything and don't care about being judged. They also are generally leaders and don't always follow people. The pros of being an individualist are that you are your own person and being judged doesn't bother you. However, one of the cons of this is a lot of times, people will exclude you or be mean to you because you seem full of yourself. Not taking any constructive criticism at all is bad and makes it look like you don't care about anybody. I think that most of the time I don't care about what other people think. Most of the time I'm really loud so that helps.

I think that being an individualist means that you are independent in what you do and you really dont care what other people think. You can do whatever you want to and if somebody says aomething about it you just shrug it off becasue you think you are doing something good. In my opinion individualsits are leaders and not followers. They lead by example and expect other people do the same. They dont like to be told what to do and they dont like to particapate in other peoples ideas. Being an individualist can have its downs also. A lot of people might think of you in a lot of negative ways. They may not agree with what you do or with what you say but it is your choice to be that way.

I think that it is not caring what anybody thinks about you. Most people think that you have to be in the "in" crowd. The cons are that you are known for being popular or a jock and if you like itior not. The pros are that you have a group that could be just like you. Another con is that it is so hard trying to break out of that social circle. I think that everybody should just be them sevles. That is the best way to live. I don't think that is right. I think that you should be known as your self. You should not be known as the "nerd" or the "priss" because you should be known as your self.

An individualist is like a rebel and brings new things to the table. Cons could be being insulted daily. I think some of the pros of being an individualist are that you don't go by what other people think. So you do your own things and think for yourself. I think that I am an individual in several ways. One way is that I think what I think. I dont let anyone affect what I think and say. One of the pros of being an individual is that you can do and say what you want and be proud of what you think without having any other people affect your thoughts. A negative about it is that you may not really fit in with other people as far as your thoughts go and may affect the crowd you hang out with. (You dont fit in... JK). Also, you may not be a real social kind of person that doesnt want to talk to anyone at all because they dont believe in what they say and only what themself thinks.

Being an individualist means alot and we are all one in some way. If you do your own thing and just dont do what others do. I there is pros and cons for both and we all do things that arnt us. To be an individualist can mean a number of things. It can mean that you like doing things on your own or you dont like being part of a group. Most of the time individualists do not care what other people think about them. Some of the pros of being an individualists are that you can think and do whatever you want to. A con to this is you may not always fit in with the group or in a society. I try to be an individualist a lot by not doing stupid things because people tell me too. I try not to care about what other people think about me.

A individualist is on my opinion, a person who is in no need form others or does not believe he/she needs help. They have their own standards and opinion. One does not need others judgment, this has good points and some setbacks. For instance without another's perspective, a individualist might overlook a fatal flaw. But the confidence in themselves is great. But others might think he/she is self centered, careless of others needs and finally seem alone.

I think that I'm an individual in a couple of ways. For starters, I do what I think is best for me, I will always be open to others opinions and I won't judge them, but I will never put my opinion last. And I'm not trying to be rude when I say that my opinion comes first, but I'm not going to let someone else run my life. It's my life and I think that I should be able to believe in what I want. Some pros of being an individual are that you can have a say in what you believe, and really be up for the risk. Some cons of being an individual, are that you might not fit in as much, as if you were in a group or croud.

I think an individualist is someone who is trying to be the individual of a group of clones. They share the same lifestyles and appearances with the group, buit each person has a different mindset and array of interests.
An individualist feels that they are someone who belongs to a certain group, but isn't afraid to be themselves within those parimeters. Like an anime(cartoon/comic book) fan inside a crowd of goths or punks.
Along with the comfort of belonging, an individualist can sometimes feel lonely even in a two-thousand person crowd of people like them.
I'm an individgy(individualist), and just because I don't conform to the Abercrombie and *****(<-Fitch), prada bag, navel pierced, pot smoking, high-heeled crowd(oh my), doesn't mean that people can press their thoughts, interests, or-to be blunt-ignorance onto me.
I'm not into their....'lifestyle', so I wandered into a group I could call a family. Yes. The bass blasting, black clothed, lip pierced, hair dyed, silver wearing, tattooed SCENE-STERS. The buncha Halloween loving 'tards, we are. ;3 Poke and prod at me all you want. It doesn't bother me.

An indiviualist doesnt follow but leads.He has his own opinons,style of clothing (cloak boy),or own opinions.I think being yourself is very important.I think the pros are being able to decide for yourself.Like in sororities like you said you would be a follower which means you are controlled.I also think it makes you who you are by making you able to express your freedom.The cons maybe being outcasted or considered a freak.Other that there are no cons in my mind.I am an individual because nobody can make me do what they want me to do.I choose my own actions.If I want to fail I can fail if i want good grades I can try toget them.I have my own individual way of handling things I dont have to handle things the same way every one else does.

I think that an individualist is a person who's not afraid to be the real person they are inside. Like how most of us are. They don't care what people think. It takes a lot of courage to stand out from the rest of our school like that, and I respect that. Just like everything else in life, being an individualist has it's pros and cons. A con can be, that when other students at the school talk, laugh, and joke at you. I know, it's hurts. They just don't let it get to them, which would be a pro. In a way I think of myself as an individualist. I think that I'm starting to open up to more people now, to let them get to know the real me. This makes you not very talkative and friendly around oher people. Personaly i believe that parts of me is an individualest. I see this because most of the time when i see something done wrong that i no should not be done, I either leave or say no. So i sat for like five minuets trying to figure out what an individualist was. I looked up the definitions and tried to put in it my own words but it didn't make sense to me. I’d like to say that being an individualist is thinking independently. But if being an individualist is thinking independently, which I do, can my apparel conform to society. I'd like to say I'm an individualist, but I'm not so sure I am, I think before i speak, I wear labels and yes I'm afraid to be judged. But am I an individualist for writing the opposite of what this blog is asking? No one wants to admit they are conformists, because that means they are fake. I'm a conformist and I feel pretty real.

being an individualists is a complicated thing. just like we said in class today you are always going to be conforming a group. if you were an individualists you wouldn't have to worry about what others were doing . it wouldn't matter to you what people thought of you. the only bad thing would be that you wouldn't have a place. even though we all want to be intermixed as a society that doesn't happen. whether we like it or not, everyone tends to seperate themselves by something. i am an individualist by being friends who i want to be with. if some of my friends don't like one of my other fiends i don't care and i still hang out with both of them.

I think if one is a individualist he or she is very self reliant. Meaning they do things there own way. A pro to being an individualist is you are creative. This would make it difficult to find a job in the current society. I think being an individualist is when you live life the way you want to and don't really care what other people think of you. Being an individualist is good because then you can live life to the fullest and not let other people hold you back. Individualists are leaders and don't have to hang out with people just like them or wear the clothes that everyone wears. Sometimes being an individualist is bad though because you might be so focused on your own idea that you won't listen to someone else's or you could have a bad idea and not listen to anyone trying to stop you. I am an individualist when I try something that none of my friends want to. (example: I thought it would be so much fun to be in the musical grease even though I can't sing or dance so I tried out even though none of my friends were interested) I can also hold strong to my beliefs when people ask me to do something that I know is wrong.
I think an individual is a person that stays strong, and always does what he or she likes to do. They don't follow people, they tend to be there own kind. The pros are they usually are happier, because they don't care what people think, so they don't have to worry. Also, your less self-conscious. Some cons are, you might get stereotyped as weird/different. And people might not understand you, people could judge you inaccurately. I think that an individualist that is a leader and not a follower. Also i think that it is someone that doesn't listen to groups and goes his own way when needed. Plus it is someone that doesn't care what other people think about them or there decisions. One pro of an individualist is that if they make a decision by them selfs it can work out perfect but at the same time it could go completely opposite. Also individualist usually have confidence in them selfs and will stand up for them selves. Lastly, i am an individualist in a couple ways. One of them is because i am usually a good leader. Also, i don't care what people think of me, except for a few, and will stand up for myself.

I think that being an individualist is not following the norm of what every one does. They do what they want to when they want to. Plus, they generally do not tend to care whether or not people agree with what they do. Individuals are the people that can have relationships with people in our society but yet keep their own beliefs and choices unaffected by society's influences. The pros of being an individualist is that you guide your life. You make decisions that are purely based off of your beliefs. The only rules are the ones that you make for yourself. The cons are that society looks down on you. They do not accept you and will tell you that you are wrong. Individualists must put up with being critisized and told what to daily. The ways that I am an individual is that I tend not to follow negative influences around me. I generally stand up for what I think is right and morally correct even if it makes me disliked by some people. They can choose to dislike me, but I live by the rules I have set for myself, which tend to be a lot stricter than most of my peers.

My ways of me being an individualist is not letting people get to me because what they said about me. Also i tend to be a leader and not so much a follower. I tend to follow more then i lead. To be an individualist takes alot. You have to be able to not care about what other people think. I think that being an individualist has so pros. Some of these being that many people could begin to look up to you, and that you can be labeled as a leader in society. However, being an individualist does have soe down sides to it. I think that sometimes an individualist may somehow miss out because they only think what they do is right. I think i am an individualist because i choose to not play a highschool sport and work hard at it to get somewhere in life.

Some pros about being a individualist is that you dont get influenced on decisions you make for yourself. Another pro is that if you do something that is important and also difficult all by yourself you feel great because you did a hard task and completed it on your own. i think its both easy and hard being an idvidualist. i can see that it is like super hard to be yourself, especially in front of people. but i find that it is really easy after yopu stop[ caring for people, that becoming an individualist is really easy, because you just do not care what other people think. but on the other hand, i know how hard it is to be yourself, because everyone wants you to do this that nand the other thing. and , like you said yesterday, people critisize you for going against the grain which is the public eye. I am an individualist, because i nmake youtube videos for the fun of it, and that i do not care what people are dsatying, i like to majke them, and i know that there are people out there(not creeps) that watch my youtube videos.

I think an individualist is someone who leads their own live. The don't care what anyone else thinks. The pros are that you lead your own live and you can stand out in a crowd. You might get a job over someone because you are an individual. The cons are that you might not have a lot of people to relate to and therefore might not have many friends. I am an individualist because I tend to put my future before anything else. I understand that school is important, so I try my best at it. I know not everyone does.
to be an individual is to be a leader. An individual is not afraid to step and be a leader in a given situation. Being an individual is good because it shows that you can step up and do what other people are afraid to do. this in turn earns the peoples respect and shows who you really are. But there are billions of people on this earth, so you have to be doing one thing like another person. You just need to have your own opionions and not be scared of sharing them. The pro's to being an individualist are that you will always know who you are and so will other epople. An individualist is a person who doesn't care how others respond to them. If you dont care what others say about you, and your different from them, your and individualist. They just want to do what they want to do and dont care if anyone disapproves. They also dont necessarily follow the crowd either. The pros to being this is you stop caring about what others think about you so you feel more free. A con to this is you get talked about. If your afriad to get crap talked about you then you cant really be a full individualist. Also if your style or whatever your an individualist for, people could catch on and then your just the leader of the "new" non individualist. This is what I think it is to be an individualist.
