I think the most important motif in the story is friendship. This is important because its what gets Lennie and George through the novella. It also helps George and Lennie reach closer to their dream. The most important symbol in this story is the dream George and Lennie have. This represents the dream all people in america have; the dream of a house of their own. It represents the freedom and self relience men desire.
I think the symbol that is most important is the farm. The farm is important because it is a dream and the life of the story. Lennie and George wanted the farm for ever. This is a dream that made them get up and go do work every single day. the motif that I think is most important is Lonelness. This is a motif that has been all threw out the book. There is alot of people that are lonely and keep to them selfs. Those people are Curley's wife, Lennie, George, Curly, Crooks and Candy. This motif is touched up on in every chapter.
In my opinion, the most significant symbol in the novel is the farm which represents society as a whole. It also symbolizes the dreams of all the characters, especially, George and Lennie's dream. For example, the disputes between the different characters on the farm are similar in power struggles between countries or nations in our world. The most important motif to me is probably the one between Lennie and Curley's wife. They truly represent loneliness and at the end when they talked they kind of resolved some true feelings they had about their lives, in a way. I thought it was a great motif to wrap the book up with. Curley's wife made an excellent leap with sharing so many feelings with Lennie about her true relationship with Curley and her life and how much she is effected by the rumors about her on the farm. She was extremely misjudged the entire time and this motif really showed that and the importance of it.
I think that the most important symbol of Of Mice and Men is the farm. I believe that this is so honored in this book because they're really trying to show us the underlying cruelty of the world. In OMAM the ranch symbolizes the world. An example in the book isn't very specific, but broadly power struggles exemplifies my point. Curley wants to show that he's top dog, but ends up hurting himself, how ironic. The most important motif in OMAM to me, is Loneliness vs. Companionship. I believe that this is so objective because the whole story is based on relationships. Like so, Lennie and George, Lennie and Curley's wife (temporary), George and Slim, & Lennie and Candy.
the most important symbol in the book is probably there dream to have the own place to live. it is what gives them the motivation to keep working throughout the whole book. it gives them somting to keep going and live for. the most important motif in this book is friendship. it is seen through the whole book. and it is strangthend it seems by a nother motif in the book lonlyness. seeing the lonlyness in the book shows the true value of friendship, and how important it is.
i think that the most important symbol is the one about lennies puppy an how he killed it, because that showed us how he has a big issue with strength like how he killed the mouse and he did accidently. well we thaught that he just didnt kno his own strength, but it takes alot more strength to kill a puppy, then after that he accidently killed curleys wife, not knowing his own strength. then the most imortant motive would be strength vs weakness beause lennie not knowing his own strength basicly desided the end of the story for him and georges farm because him not knowing his strength killed curlys wife and then ended up getting him killed.
In my opinion, the most important symbol in the novella is Lennie's puppy. He represented comfort, safety, innocence, and all together, Lennie himself. Lennie, although he hadn't known his own physical streangth, was very innocent and felt safe and comfortable whenever he was with George. The most important motif was lonliness and companionship. Such examples of this are Lennie and George, Slim and George and Candy and Lennie. There were plenty of important relationships formed such as Crooks and Lennie. As many of the relationships were formed, most often such as Lennie and Crooks, becaus they were both lonely.
I think the most important symbol in this novella is the dream of the farm. This shows throughout the book why their doing what their doing. George and Lennie both have their own dreams and different ideas of what they want in the farm. George wants it so he can make money. Lennie wants it so he can tend the rabbits and take care of them. This is a dream for them in their future to look ahead too and keep pushing themselves to get it. The most important motif I think is Loneliness vs. Companionship. Each person had a relationship with someone else. There was Lennie who had a relationship with George. Then George and Curleys Wife, and George and Crooks. George and Lennie only had each other otherwise they would be lonely. Curleys wife was also lonely so she only had Lennie who would talk to her. Then Crooks was lonely because he was black so he was always by himself, so Lennie kept him company.
I believe the best symbol throughout the book would have the be the farm. George and lennie work an a farm throughout the book and have a dream to get a farm of there own. I did want to know if george candy and crooks ever got there little peice of land. I think the most significant motif in the story would be freindship. Without it George and lenie probibly would have been together. Also the book is based around friendship. The book goes are with all these relationships that keep the story going.
I think the most important symbol in the book is the dream to live on the farm. It gives the men motivation to get through the hell of the farm. Without this dream, the men would have no reason to be working besides the fact to get money. This dream pushes them forwards and encourages them to pursue their dreams. The most important motif in the book is friendship. Without George being Lennie's friend, Lennie would not have survived as long as he did. Candy would not have any motivation to keep working if he was not friends with Lennie. Slim was a good comforting person for George to confront with and it let him vent his feelings. Altogether, the novella has many important motifs and themes.
I think to most significant Motif is Strength vs. weakness. I think this because it really shows true characters. When you know someones strengths and weaknesses you will know them more and you can find out more about them and you can descover new things about them that they didnt tell you. The symbol that is most significant is probably the Farm. I think this because it shows Lennie and George's hopes and dremas, it is obvioulsy really important to the both of them adn you later find out it is a dream of Candy's and you find out more about the characters and connect with them more. When you find out someones hopes and dreams you can get a sense of who they are on the inside and what they want to do with their life, it is really cool and fasinating.
I think the most important symbol on the farm was Lennies puppy. It symbolized all the things about Lennie as a whole. How he always wanted something soft, it gave him a comforting feeling. It was also a symbol of weakness in that Lennie simply couldnt stay away from the puppy. I think the most important motif in teh story is lonliness. Everyone in the story is lonely in their own way. Candy lost his dog, all George has is Lennie, Lennie cant connect with anyone on a deep level. Crooks is an outcast. Lonliness seems to come up a lot throughout the story from beginning to end. Curleys wife was also a lonely person.
I think the most important motif in this story is strength vs weakness. This is important because it is a reoccuring problem in the story. In one chapter Lennie doesnt understand his strength and snaps the puppys neck. Another is george doesnt realize how much strength he has taking care of lennie. It takes a mentally strong person to stay with someone like that. The most important symbol i thought was their dreams. This was important because it is also reoccuring but its something where if theyre down it gives them hope and happiness. In the end of the book george talks about this with lennie to make sure he is in a happy place before he dies.
I think the most important symbol in the book was the dream of living on the farm. This was brought up the most out of all the symbols and it had an effect on the lives of George, Lennie, and Candy. This dream was something that kept them through the tough work on the ranch and also gave them something to look forward too. This dream of living on the farm also made them conserve their money so they have enough to buy the piece of land. I think the most important motif in the story is friendship. Friendship is a thing that shows itself in many different instances. For example, George and Lennie are great friends and have eachothers backs no matter what. Another friendship in this book is the one between George and Slim. George trusts Slims enough to tell him about what really happened in Weed and that isnt somthing that you tell just anybody. I think these themes are the most important throughout the novel.
The number one motif in this story is friendship. This motif is displayed several of times throughout the story, and seems to be the main thing happening between George and Lennie. George seems to guide Lennie through his toughest of times. For example when Lennie needs to be shot in the end of the book, George really just finds the strength within him to do it himself because his friendship with Lennie allows him do pull through the pain and do whats best for his friend Lennie. The number one symbol in this book for me was the farm. It just represented what all was going on, the setting, and the dream. George and Lennie eventually wanted to own their own farm, so this symbol just showed what they were striving for this whole book. Unfortunately, they could not achieve their dreams and it is very unexpected but what else could make this book interesting.
The most important symbol in the story "of mice and men" is the ranch that George says that they will live on one day. I think that this is the most important one because not only is it George's dream but its Lennie's too. Also, Though out the story George uses the ranch to calm Lennie. In the last chapter in the book Lennie says to George as he giggled "And I get to tend the Rabbits." This shows that getting to tend the rabbits is the biggest part of the ranch to him and George is going to let him tend them. I think that Loneliness is the most important motif because in the book it mostly effects everyone and its not really something that only one person has. In the Book Curley's wife sneaks up on Lennie in the barn just to have someone to talk to. This shows that Curley's wife is lonely just as much as Lennie is being in the barn all by himself.

I think the most important symbol in "Of Mice and Men" is Lennie's pup. Lennie's pup symbolizes comfort and safety. However it also symbolizes Lennie's strengths and weaknesses. It shows how Lennie can not controll himself and this gets him into a lot of trouble. An important motif is loneliness and companionship. Lennie and George are prime examples of companionship. They are best friends and care for eachother however they are lonely because Lennie can not understand social ques and isn't all there. Candy and his dog are another example. Candy relys on his dog because he is like his best friend, and after he loses him he is very lonely.
The most important motif is friendship. This motif is all throughout the story. Not only Lennie and George were friends, Candy and his dog were also really good friends. All of Lennie's and George's journeys were based on friendship because with out it they wouldn't have been together. They also wouldn't have the symbol of their dream if they weren't friends. Their dream land was the biggest symbol in the story, in my point of view. Without thier dream land they would have nothing to work for. The dream was also a big part because it helped calm Lennie down. The dream was through the whole story and it helped end it, start it, and keep it going.
I think the most important symbol is the farm. The farm represents a dream and a future. It Is a dream that made Lennie and George keep working, and it made them get through everything. The most important motif is friendship. Friendship occurs a lot throughout the book. Lennie and George, Lennie and Candy, George and Slim, and Candy and his dog are just some of the friendships in this book. Friendship is a major part of this story; it helps us learn what characters connect, and who trusts each other in the story.
The most important symbol in the book is the farm. The farm is important because it’s the thing that keeps them going, and the thing that usually keeps lennie under control. Other then their dream of a farm theres also the farms they have to work at, so the symbol of farm also represents the southern society at the time. The most important motif is probably loneliness. This is because there are many lonely people in this book. The most obvious is curlys wife who makes it very obvious that she’s lonely. Theres also the main character George who although has lennie is still very lonely.
